WOW -- it is GORGEOUS! It makes me want to consider the same thing next year for our 10th!!!!

John is the same way. He's agreed to play along with the whole Disney/Pirate theme. He's not as big of a Disney fan as I am but I still love him.

Shawan -- I'll tell Yoni he won't be alone! He is not as big of a fan of Disney either (they have the movies dubbed in Finnish but it is certainly not as big of a deal in Finland as it is here!

Isn't it 30 days or less you receive your tickets from DCL? I always remembered getting a package with luggage tags and booklets to fill out and have ready when you get to the Port??

Hi JorDan! This is my first cruise with DCL and the RCCI one is a big blur (from being 8 weeks preggie I think). I hope we do get something else in the mail! I get so excited every time we get something -- anything that is about the cruise!!! I'll have to go check out zazzle tonight when I get home from work...

Me, too. I'm going to Target, Gap, and Old Navy this weekend (~45 minutes away) with my BFF for a big shopping day, so hopefully I can find a shirt to try doing a transfer on. I'll need to find a different brand of transfer paper than what I have now because it didn't work so well before. But I do want one!! BTW Cinda, I LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR DESIGN MUCH, MUCH BETTER!!

The FE that I posted is about 8 inches wide. Now that I've really looked at it, its not "that" small. I think it will be great. I've read on other forums that their is a size limit anyway? So if thats true, mine will be fine.

OK, don't anyone get freaked out. The total number of people that have registered on this thread that they will be on our cruise is 161. To break it down we have 54 cabins, 55 Men, 62 Women, 25 Girls (under 18) and 19 Boys (under 18). The total number of people that have requested to be on the FE list now totals 25 cabins with 26 Men, 29 Women, 7 Girls and 11 Boys. I'll be sending out an updated list tonight. The list also includes the celebrations that have been posted. If anyone would like a copy of the list (you need not be on the FE list to get it) PM me your email address and I'll add you to the group distribution. I've tried to add real names so its a great way to get to know everyone. Hopefully when people start getting their cruise documents we'll hear from everyone. Another way to recognize each other have been the wrist bands (in neon green). That way if you already getting a Castaway Club lanyard you wouldn't need to decide which one to wear.......

Cove Cafe - Jim is a coffee drinker, I'm the tea drinker but I've seen pictures of the snacks so count me in on the meet there. Also, they are suppose to have the board games. I'm thinking at sometime during the sea days would be a good time.

Morning Jane! The wrist band sounds good too! I am so impressed that you are tracking all of this! The number is big but the FE isn't so bad which is what I was originally worried about. I think I have our FE gifts all figured out now except for maybe the kids -- there are not that many so can really have some fun with them!

Yes -- love to play board games. I saw that and thought it would be fun to hang out and play.

I was also able to find a travel bag to use (mostly at the parks) its from Eddie Baur and it's big enough to hold my camera, flip video camera, wallet, sunglasses, etc. We also got Jim the tote that is just a little bigger to hold water bottles and our rain gear (just in case). It was hard to find totes that didn't have magnets (don't want to demagnitize our tickets or room keys).

We were really lucky to check out the Hagger store and get him 5 long sleeve button down casual shirts for $5 each!!!

I am thinking we may have to go the outlet mall!!!!

I am sure it will all be fine -- in fact, I can feel it and will let you know if this new job pans out. I know we talked about lanyards, but if you are a repeat cruiser you will get those from Disney (and who needs two lanyards anyway???)

So, I've done some research regarding custom wrist bands. I think these are the perfect option because
1) They are pretty cheap
2) They are water proof!!!
3) They are easy to slip on & wear for a week (and even they guys wont mind)
4) The ones that I'm looking at GLOW IN THE DARK!!!
5) Kids love them!

So anyway... Here's what I've been looking at & let me know what you think.
According the Jane's wonderful spreadsheet (THANKS JANE!!!), we have around 160+ Disers cruising...

*Color-Filled Debossed Bracelets (Easy to read)
*GLOW IN THE DARK (Extra $0.05 per Bracelet)
*100 bracelets = $1.22 each (No shipping Fees) This includes the extra $0.05
*200 bracelets = $0.86 each (No shipping Fees) This includes the extra $0.05
*25 characters for message side 1
*25 characters for message side 2 (inside, I believe)

If everyone likes the idea, we can vote on the messages, fonts, etc.. I'm thinking that the bracelets should be DIS neon green.
Depending on how many people are in, I will divide the price (either for 100, or 200) by the number of people who are interested and that will be the cost of each bracelet.

There is also the option to get printed wrist bands (about $0.20 cheaper), but 2nd message & i think it would be nice to out the date on the inside.

Everyone -- I wanted to say thank you for all of your well wishes on Yoni's job. It has been stressful but nice to know that I have such wonderful new friends here I can "worry" to.

I've been thinking a lot about your family & the others with layoffs also. Hopefully we'll all be "safely" employed by cruise time and beyond. Last night (as I was DIS'ing with my peeps ) I was watching an Oprah from last week with Lisa Ling & the "tent cities," and it's just horrible to see how parts of our country have become in such a short time.

I was just PM'ing Belinda about how I hope we all stay in touch after the cruise. We tried that on our last cruise thread, but it didn't last too much longer after the cruise ended. I still think of them often and have them in my scrapbook. I know you guys will all be in my next one, too!!

I'm so glad I have cyberfriends, too. Okay, you really are strangers, but it sure doesn't feel like it.

Yea, that FE I posted a pic of, I got from gradysmommy. The width on it is about 8 inches wide, maybe less. Its really cute though and her monagramming is perfect!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your stress with yoni's job. It's hitting everyone lately. My sister-in-law (on our cruise) is facing the same thing and has been looking since Jan! One of my best friends just lost her job & she is a single mother of 2 with a brand new mortgage from the home she bought a few months ago.

I was going to order the standard Adult/Teen Bracelets. They do have medium & youth, but you have to order all one size at a time unless we end up ordering 100 or each (Adult & Youth)...

Well, for anyone wanting a KLP recipe, I JUST got this in my inbox from Betty Crocker (I'm on their recipe email list):

2 tablespoons cold water
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 1/2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
4 oz (half of 8-oz package) fat-free cream cheese, softened
3 containers (6 oz each) Yoplait® Light Thick & Creamy Key lime pie yogurt
1/2 cup frozen (thawed) reduced-fat whipped topping
2 teaspoons grated lime peel
1 reduced-fat graham cracker crumb crust (6 oz)

1. In 1-quart saucepan, mix water and lime juice. Sprinkle gelatin on lime juice mixture; let stand 1 minute. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until gelatin is dissolved. Cool slightly, about 2 minutes.
2. In medium bowl, beat cream cheese with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Add yogurt and lime juice mixture; beat on low speed until well blended.
3. Fold in whipped topping and lime peel. Pour into crust. Refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.

It doesn't seem like it would be a "true" KLP since it's mostly flavored by the KLP yogurt, but it might be an easy one to try.


The one that I've tried making doesn't have nearly as many ingredients and is, therefore, a bit less expensive (and easier!) to make but didn't quite taste like I wanted it to (however, I use the same recipe for a regular cheesecake that is TO DIE FOR but substitute lemon juice instead of key lime juice).

two 8 oz pkgs cream cheese (I prefer low fat)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
3 T. fresh key lime juice

Mix together and pour into prepared graham crust. Refrigerate until set.

I was afraid that I'd run out of space on my last post. Jim and I went shopping yesterday at our outlet malls and got some stuff for our vacation (and other things).

We were able to buy a little sweet something for our FE group from a manufacturer of treats right near the outlets. Just had a little sample YUM!!

I like to get a Churro and a diet coke outside of ToT and then walk around, sit on a bench and people watch.
At DL during the 50th they had this show on the Matterhorn where Mickey would climb up it. It was always fun and relaxing to watch. Most people didn't even know it was going on.

LOL... Scottie is on the cruise meets for the cruise we were "originally" booked on. That is the same company that I looked into. The only difference is that I opted for the style that has the letters filled in with color (white) so it's easier to read.
