I looked through the email of the Navigators and noticed some differences from our cruise 2 years ago and also the 01-24-09 Navigators on the other website. On the 01-10-09 sailing, they played a movie in the WD Theater on Sunday evening and did a comedian/hypnotist on Wed evening (Pirate Night), whereas 2 years ago, they did a ventriloquist comedy show on Sunday and did a movie (Meet the Robinsons) on Wed. I noticed the 01-24-09 Navigator is the same as 2 years ago with a performer on Sunday (magician) and Wed is a movie (Bedtime Stories). So on these recent ones, not only did they rearrange some evening shows from one Western to the next, they also changed the performers. Hmmmmmm....

Just when we think we have DCL all figured out...

Since Mondays are rather slow for me (no office hours and no surgeries scheduled) , I thought I'd try setting up a spreadsheet for the FEs. I have everyone listed that was on Jane's list as well as V and her family. I can't paste it here because the image gets distorted. I have the Dis name, number of men/women/girls/and boys as well as the kids' ages. I counted anyone over 18 as an adult, because I figured they would prefer "adult" gifts.

I'm happy to send the document to anyone who wants it, just send me your email. I'd also appreciate if someone would check it to be sure everyone who wants to be included is! Thanks!

Good Morning!

DH and I are so excited about this cruise!!! We are also planning a family cruise/Disney trip for November but unfortunately we found out this weekend that my step daughter will not be able to go . She does not have the same school schedule as my DD and we were hoping that they would be able to switch next year to the same track but it just didn't work out. I am so disappointed!! I was so looking forward to all of us going on our first Disney trip together. Hopefuly something will work out!

For those of you who have been to paradise beach, is it as crowded as the photos look??? There is going to be 10 of us traveling together and I'm trying to find the find way to spend our day. I would prefer to lay low on the Cozumel day. The last time I was there, shopping was a little uncomfortable. (ladies beware, don't let your hubbies stray too far away for you).

The original plan was to go to Chankanaab Park. we went there on our last cruise and it is very nice. There is a pool, bathrooms and showers, a beach, a couple restaurants, and you can watch the dolphin encounters. I think the price to get in is $16.00 per adult & $8.00 per kid. We are just trying to figure out which is the better option: Chankanaab or paradise Beach..


????Also, anyone know what time Disney is going to open up ressies on the 15th???? We are on the East Coast & I'm trying to figure out what time to be awake

I was thinking we got there around 10 AM, and we got the last chair at the end near the massage areas, so it was pretty full that early (surprised us!). Actually, though, we loved being on the end because the boys were kind of confined to that area and didn't have the entire open beach to run around on.

I think EST is 3 AM. If anyone who has cruised more recently than I have, please verify.



Hey V~I finally took time to read one of your TR's in your sig! (PC) Of course, it left me wanting more! Those darn TR are time consuming--to read and to write!!! The more I read & saw pics, the more your family reminds me of one from Sarasota that we cruised with last time. Are you sure you don't know Amy (alikat99)?!?! Her mom sewed several outfits for her girls, and they looked very similar to your girls' outfits! Did you make them?

I think brunch is generally around 10:00 to 11:30 am in terms of reservation times. I'm putting the $$ in the mail today for our FE as well! I figured I'd better pay someone, since I don't own a sewing machine and I'm not very safe with an iron!

I'm pretty sure I'm losing my mind because I said several posts back that I wouldn't get up in the middle of the night to book reservations...now I'm thinking I will! I really don't want to spend our first hour on the ship deciding dinner times (unless we get the 8:15 block that I don't want), spa times, Palo times, etc. like we did on our first cruise. I want to hit the pool!

To all the kind words and messages of condolence, Thank you. It's been a hectic week and being sick on top of everything hasn't helped, but I'm starting to feel almost normal. All the kind words and messages have been very comforting. It's amazing to be a part of a group of people that are so kind to someone that they've never met.

We would also like to join the FE group.
One more thing. What is a LanYard?

I've added you to my list. A lanyard is the thing that you can hang around your neck to hold your key card. A custom lanyard would have printing on the cord (you can also hang pins on the cord to display).

as far as the list for FE gifts does anyone have it by how many people in the cabin and adults/children?

I am still trying to come up with a FE gift.

Once the list goes out we can make sure we all have accurate information.

We've been trying to figure out our shore excursions. We will probably do KW on our own (except for the FKLP tour). We are thinking about the Shipwreck and Reef Snorkeling tour in GC. We are intrigued by the Mexican Cuisine workshop in Cozumel but I haven't seen or heard any reviews so I'm wondering if it's worth 5 - 5.5 hours. I think we will be pretty low key on CC and just rent a couple of bikes and tour the island on our own. We have to be REALLY careful when we are out in the sun as we both burn really easily. Although just sitting in the shade on the adult beach with some fruity frozen drink is VERY appealing.
