Did anyone order the 2009 PassPorter book and receive it yet? I'm still anxiously awaiting my free copy... I hope it arrives before we leave!

We got our passporter book 2009 for at least 3 weeks now. We pre ordered it. It is almost the same as 2008 the only difference is all the updates to the magic since the dry dock, And also about the passports and loop thingys. I hope you get it before you leave, it will get you all hyped up even more than I am sure you already are. 9 more days for our drive to Port Canaveralwoohoo

Mati - I can tell you now it will be me to screw up your name. Whenever we are talking about the DIS board and your name comes up, I say Maddie almost every time. Mom quickly corrects me (cause that's what mom's do) but I can't seem to keep myself from saying it.

I'll just have to practice over and over during our 14 hour car ride to FL.

Oh yeah...that will be a huge hit in the car with the guys At least I won't be the only girl.

Well...I had to call DCL with a few questions so I thought I'd ask them about the possible change of ports.

The lady that I just spoke to told me that they could wait up until even the day before or the day we leave to change it.
She said what would happen is that they wouldn't allow anyone to pre book any shore excursions for the new port until we get on board.

WOW!! Talk about possible short notice, I think thats nuts!!!!

That is nuts! I guess I won't do anything about my excursions for Cozumel....I assume they will just cancel them automatically if they switch the ports.

Yea us too! We have a shore excursion booked also. She said they would cancel automatically and we wouldn't get charged anything.

I can just see 1,000+ anxious people running up to the excursion desk as soon as we board!! I'd be a guilty one of them!!

I was thinking the same thing...so much more convenient to look it over, research it and just reserve it online...I hate standing in lines....

hopefully we will just go to Cozumel as scheduled....

Not to mention the possibility of them actually changing the itinerary around to incorporate a change of port. Imagine if we ended up going to grand cayman or Castaway Cay on a different day, so that we could hit Nassau or some other port on a convenient schedule. That could really mess up peoples excursion plans all together.

I'm reading those right now! I'm on book 7 at the moment. They are a pretty quick read so I don't know if one will be enough for you! You might want to pick up a few!

That's a good point. They are a quick read, in part because they're very fun. I blew through the box set and book 8 awfully fast. (of course I also wasn't putting much.) If you end up really liking it and finish, you may find yourself wanting book two that very second lol

I'm still attempting to wait patiently for book 9 to arrive and wondering what I will do when I finish that. I hope I can get into Twilight. It's probably just as well. If I had that book right now I wouldn't be getting anything done.

Is anyone else going to request CC (or whatever your port of choice is) if Coz isn't an option? I have mine all ready to send to Disney.

starlawyermom (do we know your name?)--I would love to have the boys in pirate costumes but just haven't taken the time to find any. I might stop at the local costume shop and see about renting some. I don't really have much option at this point.

Robin--If Disney has a problem with the magnets, they're going to be hearing from a TON of people on the DIS! As long as they're up with magnets and not tape, they're fine with it.

Indigo--did you book your Coz excursions through Disney? If not, you might want to check with the excursion company to make sure you can get a refund if we don't dock there. If you booked through Disney, though, they would automatically take off the charges.

Andy...ugh a 22 hr drive?? That seems kinda short It took us 19 hr from Utah to Calgary...longest drive of my LIFE! Good luck with that, hope you got some great tunes to jam out to.

As for all the Swine Flu/H1N1 talk and Cozumel...I'm not going to chime in on it anymore. I don't care where we go, I just want to vacation...the Swine Flu 'scare' has just left me drained and wanting to run away on vacation even more. Continue on with it if you please.... (sorry I don't mean to offend anyone, I just want to have FUN, not worry!!)

We have a room assignment today! So yes we are on the cruise after all. I was getting worried. 6045 (which is Cat 11), not much of pixie dust, but maybe something else might happen when we get to port. Just happy to be on the boat.

Oh no! I hope you get your books in time. They are such a fun read! I actually got mine from the local library. I really wanted to order the set from Amazon or Costco but didn't have the extra money right now so picked them up for free from the good ole' library.

I'm with you on the whole Swine Flu thing. I'm ready to not hear or talk about it anymore!! Where I live in Cali there are about 10 confirmed cases but nothing new in the past few days. I work for the government and they don't mess around. They've sent 4 of my co-workers home just for being sneezey. I can't wait to take a break from it all!!!

Soooo, while I was making dinner tonight I tripped over a box and landed on my knee. Incidentally, this is the knee I had my ACL repaired about 5 months ago. I'm really hoping it's just brused and will be sore for a few days but will be ok by the cruise.

I caught myself with my hand before I landed on my stomach so I don't think I need to call my OBGYN but what do you think? Currently I'm sitting on the couch reading the DIS board with ice on my knee.
