We were able to catch the beginning of the Flower and Garden Festival last Spring Break. I love that festival as well. It's a good thing we get to go this year. This weekend I broke our Flower and Garden Festival shot glass from last year .


I just stopped at Home Depot tonight and picked up some more LGMHs (lime green Mickey heads ) to make magnets for our doors and another "dznyacct" tag for my backpack for easy identification . As far as getting them off the card, I kind of went in between. If you peel them off they are very thin and if you try and cut around them on the card it's kinda difficult. If you push up from the back you can take them off with some of the card on them, with no cutting involved. Try it and see if it works .

I needed two nights before the cruise and got this hotel on price line for $65.00 per night. So now we may got to EPCOT on Friday???? But I'm wondering has anyone stayed here; what did you think?

I wanted to give a break down of my plans because they changed so much and see what you think.

For starters I'm in PEI, Canada right now. This Sat I will fly up to Toronto to meet my hubby who is there working right now. We were going to leave Thursday morning and drive straight through but some how I got looking at flights and managed to get us non-stop flights there and back.

There we are taking jet blue and Southwest for the way back. Oh wait! Did I forget to say that I'm an extremely nervous flyer. It has been 5 years since I've been on a plane. Oh well, I plan to see my doctor and get something for my nerves.

Anyway we got the flights for $278.00 total for both. I can't believe it. It would of cost us that to drive one way. So then I needed a hotel and got the Hilton in Disney world for $65 per night. Rental car was from dollar at $73 including drop of at port Canaveral. Now I need to get a hotel and rental car for the day we return as our flight back is on Sunday.

As I've never flown either jet blue or southwest or never rented at MCO; just wondering if anyone has any tips or advice that I should know.

This weekend I broke our Flower and Garden Festival shot glass from last year .

Too many shots, huh? A little "out of control," were we? Soooooo...what were you shootin'? Patron?!?! (Getting ready for the tequila tasting?!?!)

I was so bummed tonight. I only got one vote in for Idol. My living room clock batteries must be going dead because it showed 9:45, but I kept getting the busy signal. Then I looked at my watch and realized it was actually 10:00.

Mati - Il Mulino sounds so good. I'm an extremely picky eater, but it is a restaurant I will definitely have to try. Where I came from that kind of menu was pretty much routine though, so I can't say it would be a brave thing for me to try.

Kim - SO glad you got the passport thing mostly sorted out and that it should be in your hand soon.

We ate at T-Rex on opening night. I liked the atmosphere, albeit a tad ear piercingly loud at times, but the services wasn't great, the food was VERY expensive, and neither one of us was particularly impressed. There was even a ton of floppy lettuce in my Philly Cheese sandwich. That should have been a safe bet. I was hoping they'd iron out a lot of things. I did go to Build-A-Dino and make one, though. lol

I've been printing my magnets on 8.5 X 11 glossy photo paper I bought a bunch of years ago, then gluing it to a thicker card stock, cutting things out and attaching adhesive magnets with extra glue. I was using clothes pins to hold it down. I'm going to go check on it now, since I've been out all night in DTD for my husband's birthday and see how they look. The photo paper kinda gives it that laminated look. They seem ok to me. I wish I could cut better. I'm not even in the realm of straight. I'm so far toward the back of the ship no one's going to see the magnets anyway.

We don't celebrate Cinco de Mayo per se, but since my husband's birthday is May 5th, we almost end up celebrating it anyway. I've been calling it Cinco de Davo...which of course makes no sense. I love tacos. It's a shame I ended up eating a sucky (expensive) turkey club at Planet Hollywood. Not very festive. lol (I've been taking Ibuprofen so I can get away with an odd version of chewing on the other side)

Twilight Books 1 & 2 are now on their way to me, along with the 9th Sookie Stackhouse Book and the latest Women's Murder Club to come out in paperback. Now I'll be set for reading material.

10 more days, oh my!

Ohhhhh--- I almost forgot, need to go buy the 1st Sookie Stackhouse book for the trip!

Il Mulino should be good. The big plus was FREE child care for 2 hours so that helps although, I am starting to rethink it and toying with the idea of just staying at Epcot with the kids. I need to talk to Kym and synch up with her asap.

I cancelled Happy Limo. They really upset me. They were totally lying to me about not being able to drop us off until 11:15. I think the thing was, the limo is booked to pick someone up at the pier at 8 so they wanted time to drop them off and then come get us. They also charged my CC the full amount for all trips already!!! I called Southern Elegance. The price was the same and they are getting great reviews on the board so I booked them. They are picking us up at 9 so we can be at the pier by 10. They don't charge until the day we take the trip so much much better. I booked them. They said we would get either a Lincoln limo or Expedition limo. Thumbs up that we get the Expedition limo -- that would be way cool!

Conference was fun until the margarita buzz wore off -- now I am just tired. I am so ready to go home and have a gazillion things to do for the trip. I am nervous about getting it all done! I think even if I didn't have to work I couldn't get it all done so I am totally screwed. Have to fiigure out what I can get away without doing.......

I am excited Belinda's plans are back to normal. (Great pic Belinda sweetie btw).

Kim -- HUGE sigh of relief on the passport BUT will feel better when it is in your hands so please let us know when you get it.

Has anyone heard anything from Sonya????

So, another day of conference meetings, then going to the mall (Great Mall of the Bay area -- any good Jane?) then to the airport for a late flight. I have a ton of work to catch up on while on the plane but hoping to get it done and then work on graphics for magnets.

I just saw a post on the main board about someone who just got off the Tortola cruise on Saturday, and their rotation was APLAPLA, which is what I had 2 yrs ago, but I thought they had since switched to APLLAPL, etc. Hmmmm...I guess we really won't know what to expect until we check in at the terminal!

I don't know about you guys, but I have been in vacation mode for about 3 weeks. I can't believe we leave a week from tomorrow!!!

I have soooo many things to do between now and then. Packing, cleaning, more planning, FE's, and chicken salad. We have this odd family tradition that my mom started by accident, but we ALWAYS make chicken salad for quick on the road sandwiches when we drive to Florida. It's soooo good and the perfect thing to make when we stop to take a break. I guess I'll need to check with Ali to see which one of us is making it this time.

I went out to Rio last night for nacho's and margaritas! Yummy!!!
Mati- there are several Rio's in Texas, I think. Have you ever been to one? Ours is the Rio Grande Cafe, but I think the one's in TX are Uncle Julio's...all owned by the same people.
According to their website they have 2 in Dallas, 1 in Fort Worth, 1 in Grapevine, & 1 in Allen. Yum, Yum, Yum!!!
Mexican food is one of my favs & we all LOVE Rio!!!! Amazing food!

I'll going to have to take a look at the packing list today and start getting everything ready to pack.

I'm soooo excited!!!
