May 16, 2004 / 4 Day Wonder

Glenn- maybe we can get our pic taken together by the cruise photo staff after we both look like lobsters. Then we can tell everyone the picture is a secret picture of two new disney characters for an upcoming movie :)

OUR FAMILY WILL BE GOING ON THIS CRUISE AFTER 3 DAYS AT BWV. THERE WILL BE 23 IN OUR GROUP. :Pinkbounc

Awheel- Welcome aboard our winter warm up cruise!! We are happy to know there are more DISers joining us now. 23 people WOW, is it all family? Are there any youngsters sailing with you? I have two DD's 3+7 who are both looking forward to playing in the club onboard too much.

:wave2:

Yes , Welcome Aboard, Awheel...23 folks that is a pretty big herd.

Good to see more folks from teh DIS boards .

SCOTTIE, YES ALL BUT 3 ARE IMMEDIATE FAMILY. YES THERE ARE YOUNG CHILDREN TOO, NEPHEW'S 4,5,7 AND DGD 4,8,11,15,20.
WE WILL BE CELEBRATING DH 60TH. :wave2:

What a way to celebrate a 60th B-day!! Sound like everyone will be busy checking the youngsters in an out of the clubs and trying to keep up with the fast-paced lives kids lead on the ship :)

Awheel,
Glad to have you and your group on board!

Awheel,

Did you let DCL know you are celebrating a birthday? If not make sure it is noted on your reservation as they (DCL) might do some extra neat stuff.

Definitely tell them. I went on the 4 night for my birthday in 2002. I got a great birthday pin (like the pin trading type of pins) and a birthday cake at one of my meals.

Of course, I also gave the gift brochure to my sister and Dad a month before my cruise so they could send me a gift on the ship. Subtle? No. Effective? Yes.

I asked DVC to note on our reservation that we are celebrating DWs birthday on board. It is actually about 2 weeks later then when we sail, but I figured the cruise is as good of a time as any to celebrate!

Hey, its going to be everyones birthday.....Mine is on the 17th. We didnt plan the cruise to celebrate it,but, what better way than being on a DCL and in the Bahamas!!!! :cool1:

I was reading the navigators on Barbs site for our youngest DD… I think she would love the Tea with Wendy Darling that they offer on Nassau night.

Wow, I missed alot over the weekend. First, welcome aboard Awheel! Glenn, we should book the shore excursions before we go. I did write down a toll free number for booking them. I just need times, etc. Does mom and dad want to go on the banana boat too?? lol I did call yesterday morning but your lazy butt was still in bed. Mom and I thought that we could cut out the Ohana dinner on the first night at Polly so that we didn't have to leave the park. What do you think? I didn't make priority seating for any of the restaurants yet since I wanted to talk to you first.

No, mom and dad dont want to do the banana boat. :scared: ...We can eat in the park the first night. No need to rush around.

I take that back....Mom and dad MAY want to try the banana boat. Let me discuss it with dad when he gets home.

You are kidding right? I even have second thoughts about doing it. Dad might like it but I don't think mom will. It is apparently a very very rough ride and you do risk getting thrown off the boat.

Make sure that you show them the thread on the boards about what to expect.

Threads are only talk. I am trying to find a video, but everytime I type in banana, I get porn sites.LOL:blush:
