May 16, 2004 / 4 Day Wonder

I can only dream of weather that warm.

We had 66 degrees here at the beach yesterday. We actually took our boys to the boardwalk and the beach yesterday afternoon. It's nice again today. I can't believe it.

Lynda:

Before we leave, I guess I need your full name so that I can get you ressie's for PALO. I don't know exactly what they ask for being that I have never been on a cruise before but I would imagine that I need your full name. Also, the day and time that you want your ressie for.

Lynda,

Did you mention in an earlier post that Deb Wills will be on this cruise??

Yes, indeed. She's supposed to be there as part of the Free Wheelin' wheelchair tour that Mouse Ear Vacations and Crusingco put together. There's an announcement of that somewhere on the cruise board. Chet McDoniel, the TA/coordinator has put up a website for this tour and has at least two (that I have seen) announcements about it. I first saw it announced on the DISabilities board in August.
It's a 4/4 tour AKL/Wonder. Remember those steel-toed sandals.....

Thanks Lynda, It will be nice to see her again.

Sounds like it will be quit the crew and that is great.

Now to try and train our our Malamutes to do as Cash do. Never happen something along the lines of a pig singing.:p

Just looked up the mousears, free wheeling site. Looks like a great tour has been planned. Do you know how many folks will be attending with this group? I think it is great.

At this point, we do not have any excursions planned. I am guessing DW and MIL will visit the spa a few times, we will play a couple of games of bingo, I will rent some snorkel gear, and the rest of the trip we will just go with the flow. We will stay on the ship when it docks at Nassau this time.

Cash and I'll be in #6154.......got switched from #6500... not quite in the same neighborhood, I guess....:wave2:

We're in 6554. Does anyone know how much the bingo games cost? I heard that if you buy a family package, you can't share it with the kids.

Well, they can watch, but they can't play.....Too easily mugged, I guess, if they win...I was impressed by the huge size of some of the pots...
Some DISErs have won thousands! :wave2:

Don't quote me...a pack for $35. Probably more detail on Castaway Club website...

Hmmm, I'm not sure. Last time I corresponded with Chet there were only two accessible staterooms left that they had blocked for the tour. I released my cat. 8 for an upgrade and it is probably gone now, too. Too many wheels, I think...Maybe I'll stay on the verandah and keep Cash's feet out of trouble.
Prepare to do some stair climbing....Wish I could...Then I could indulge in a little more taste-testing....:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

MIL bought our kids Disney dollars as one of their b-day gifts this month. They really seemed to like the idea of having “money” with Disney characters on it to spend as they wish in WDW and on the cruise.

I found one tucked into an old (1996) scrapbook and I might set it free on the ship. Disney money should be free to fly...not pressed flat for years in an unfinished scrapbook... I might use it as a tip or buy part of a Mickey bar at WDW before the cruise...YUMMMM!

Lynda, we are going to try and get ressie's at Palo for the last day of the cruise.

Are you going to make ressies for a Palo brunch? I had thought that it would be a good alternative to the dinner if all the reservations for that are taken. The brunch is held on an at- sea day, which, for me is free time...(no kids to tend) and a little less formal (no sports coat for Cash)...
It is becoming quite popular.

Did they decide to make the brunch permenant? I know it was on a trial run earlier. I would love to see a menu!

I never heard of the brunch. Can you make two reservations? I wouldn't mind the brunch and dinner. Lynda, you'll get your dinner reservation by me don't worry! As for the disney dollars, my boys have been getting 10.00 each just about every week or two. They have $105.00 each right now. They are very excited about spending their new found fortune at disney world!

One of the boys lost his second tooth yesterday. He was surprised this morning when he looked under his pillow that the tooth fairy brought him $5.00. He said "Doesn't she have disney dollars?"
