May 14th repositioning....sold out??

Just went to DCL web site and it looks like that sailing is.......sold out. Only cat. 9 and 10s left for the sailing back!!!

Yesterday they had Cat4 & Cat9 left. That's really amazing how quickly it sold out!

I'm also guessing that some spots will open up once the deadline for deposit is made. Possibly also by the 60-day pay in full date.

I imagine a lot of spots will open 60 days out from sail date as that is pay or get a refund.

I was able to book a cat. 6 guarentee today.She did ask for how many first and when I said for 2 adults she said"that will be a lot easier" which makes me think that the previous thread about capacity for childrens clubs,lifeboats etc.. may be true!

I think a lot of spots will open next week when deposits don't get paid .. a few but not a ton when the 60 day balance due date hits.

Technically, it is sold out. However, they are expecting spots to open up on May 11. That is the day that you either have to pay your deposit or lose your "courtesy hold." The agent who booked us said that they know many people have more than one ressie on courtesy hold as they would try to book it themselves then see if they could get a better deal thru a TA. I suggested that space might open up just before the 60 day window--she agreed that it was possible, but that they didn't expect it as they were maintaining a waiting list for any spaces that did open. That is, people who call and can't be booked now will be offered a waiting list space--if their cabin level and party size opens up, they will be contacted. She also said that these would all be "rack rate" cruisings...no discounts at all.

westbound repositioning is still showing sold out online .. eastbound shows only cat 4 and cat 9 available (and HIGH rates too).
