Hi anyone that is new.

Just a "wee note" (and just in case we are missed ) to let you know we shall be absentees on the DIS and F book from tomorrow until at least 12/04/2011. We are going to England to see some of our family and then pay our respects and be in remembrance for my (Adele's) parents and David's Dad . We shall then be flying out to Lisbon to join the RCCL Splendour of the Seas for a wee dander around the med; to give us some cheer after our visit to England. We shall look forward to hearing that everyone has been given their GTY staterooms and that we are all still on board for our adventure on the Atlantic sailing on the Disney Magic.

Sending our best wishes to everyone; counting the days.

I will! You will get back about the time I have to be offline while we do a bit of roadtripping with my cousin who is coming to visit us. So we won't be online at the same time until end of April start of May, and then the cruise will be nearly upon us, yippee!!

here's the response from DCL re: pink ladies
We have received your request for a Private Champagne/Wine Tasting Event. Please note that we require the following:
Minimum 25 Guest
Maximum 50 Guest
Time/Location is based on ship scheduling and availability.
The Cost is $20.00pp
DCL requires the guest names and stateroom numbers for those who will be attending no later than 1 week prior to sailing. There are no refunds inside of 1 week. The $20.00 will be charged onboard to the folio account of each guest.

Please note that request are reviewed 30 days prior to sailing and you will be notified no later than two weeks prior to sailing.

In other words....I don't expect to get a response from them until two weeks prior to sailing.
They love to torture us impatient people!

I was really hoping for everyone to know at the 45 day mark. Now that that day has come and gone, I'm thinking DCL may be waiting until 30 days out. Sigh

SECRET MICKEY..... We will be closing all sign ups for Secret Micky on April 15. This has been moved up due to some participates leaving early for the cruise and need time to get or make their gifts. Not a fan of this change. Hmmm. I wonder if this is just on the new ships or fleetwide? I just saw a tripreport from the Wonder (March MR) where a cake was served to their table for a birthday (not one that you pay for).

The Secret Mickey is not the same as the FE. The Secret Mickey is much like a Secret Santa. You get 1 name and need to bring a gift or gifts valued between $20-$30. You deliver it to the name you are assigned sometime during the cruise. We will reveal who your Secret Mickey is at a lunch gathering on a sea day to be announced.

This must be the mother/daughter cruise as there are quite a few of us cruising with our 19 or 20 year olds.

And whether, your first or 21 cruise together...you will have a blast!

So I called DCL today to cancel my transfers and just though....to....ask about my cabin.....
She laughed at me...I told her I would be happy with a window that opens, she told me that I do not want one of those "tiny windows" to open. No I say, I want my window to open on my nice big balcony suite......for some reason she laughed at me again. Not very nice I would say!!! She then proceeded to tell me that she would love to put me a in a suite with the crew if that would interest me....not sure how it would work to get my window to open under water!!!!! the moral of the story, no cabin for me yet! We are booked in the highest balcony category, so I am thinking that a suite is the least they can do for me......or....not......

Sorry, there are no Category (anything) staterooms available for selection at this time. You may either change the stateroom category or accept a guarantee (GTY) stateroom. Selecting "Accept Guarantee" guarantees the ship, sailing date and rate. A Category (anything) stateroom will be assigned by the time documents are received. Selecting "Accept Guarantee" does not guarantee the stateroom will be on a particular deck or, for multiple staterooms, that the staterooms will be located near each other.
