May 13, 2007 EARLY Roll Call… 5/13/2007 4-Night Wonder

we have a yellow lab puppy that is 7 months and not only does she shed everywhere she also chews everything. does anyone have any ideas on how to get her to stop digging, she has decided to dig a hole in the backyard, and normally i wouln't care thet much but there is a pipe in the hole where she is digging and i am guessing its the gas line.
well not only am i counting the days till disney(24 now), but how many working days 18 left
May hurry up and get here

i have been reading that people on the may 6 cruise have received there doc's so we can't be to far behind.
i must have a different dd then you guys cause she is just not getting excited, i told her if she didn't start to get more excited the i was taking the neighbour (at least she is excited for me), my dd's answer i'm just excited about getting to spend time with you. well, how to you answer to that. boy do i love my little girl.

I know the feeling they say the cutest things. I called and DCL said that our Documents are going out on April 25th 3 day UPS. I hope the wrong and we get them sooner. But the person I talked said it showed our stuff at printing. :thumbsup2 So keep your eyes out.

Hi all. Well, one month from today we will be on board the beautiful Disney Wonder!:woohoo: Of course that means that our WDW portion will be over.:sad2: The cruise portion is my favorite though!:yay:

Scottie, I LOVE my Dyson. Definitely worth the price. With three cats a messy bird and two messy grandkids it really gets a workout. It is one of the best purchases I ever made.

I know what you mean about feeling stuck in the house. Days are going by and boy do we need this trip. Just before the trip I will start my trip report on Passporter.com maybe here too. I wanted to do one at a time. With a little history of why so look for it. The other thing because building still has not picked up enough my husband is working nights which is hard on the family and they lower his pay. Hugh we never get a break. I am hoping things turn around right before the trip or right after other wise I hope he finds something new. But enough sad stuff because WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY WORLS IN 27 DAYS. I just had to shout it once.:cool1:

You never know what door will open when another closes. My husband and I got off of active duty with no job and a small child. My dh found a good job, good enough that I don't really have to work. We were stressed for a while but it worked its way out. Unfortunately, we had to move to an area that we don't know anyone. But we plan to either move near family or somewhere really cool in the future. In all actuality, my DH would like to drive the truck on the safari at Animal Kingdom. haha

I am hoping that all works out. We did just get great news today. Our mortage payment is gong down and we over paid into escrow so can you say surplus. We are getting money back. Let do the happy dance:banana:  Life looks great now.

Ladies and Gents... I am pleased to formally announce that I have just completed the online check in process for the cruise!!!! Let those days slide by!
:yay: :woohoo: :dance3: :woohoo: :yay:

Is anyone else obsessed with these boards? I must check the review board 6 times a day to see if anyone has added anything.

I must admit that I have been obsessed with WDWINFO.com/DIS since its beginnings. I used to help out on a late night chat we ran when the boards were getting their start and also assisted with DVC questions quiet a bit back in the days. I think I started my adventures around 98’/99’. Since then, I have added family into my life and now just seem to go board crazy when we have a trip planned! Hence the reason I am on our ever-growing thread way too many times a day!

I'm right with you. I do check at least 6 times each day. And time is starting to go by so quickly... only because I have so much to do. Once I am packed and ready to go... time will pass more slowly.

i received my documents for the land part of my trip today so hopefully the cruise ones are close behind:cool1:

Documents...How exciting for you... bet you can feel Main Street under your heels already!

I just bought a new pair of nike running shoes on Ebay for the trip. Cant wait to break them in!

Just curious, for those of you going to WDW before or after the trip, are you having the Disney Dining Package as part of your stay? We are using it for the first time this trip!

That is great!!!! What a surprise. :yay:

we are using the dining plan. we used it last year and thought it was great didn't have to worry about how much things cost and if you can share some of the counter services then you can get even more for your money.its nice not having to budget in money for food as well as everthing else. last year on our last day we had to use up some because we shared too much, this year i figure if there are any snacks left i would use them for bottled water for the cruise.

Rhondainma, I noticed you got the Walt Suite for your next cruise!!!!! WOW how nice.

When we went in Jan, we didn't use the dining plan. I know that there were free ones offered on some plans but not for us. Since we had a kitchen, we decided to not use it. And especially since we were traveling with my 3 year old. I dreaded the thought of having to sit in a restaurant every night with him. He is usually good but the waits are so long at Disney if you don't plan ahead. Having said that, I crunched the numbers and if we were to go without him, it would have saved us money. We could easily spend 50-70 a person a day on food. $20 at breakfast, $25 at lunch, $15 for water and snacks and at least $60 for dinner for the two of us.

I was happy to see the plan as an option for DVC members now and jumped right on it, after speaking with a friend who got the free dining last August.
I booked reservations for the eight of us for sit down dinners for the 4 nights.
We are doing Wolfgang Grand Cafe Thursday evening, 1900 Park Fare Dinner Buffet Friday, Le Cellier Saturday and finishing off at Kona Cafe for dinner the final night.
I crunched the numbers and figured the plan will cost us about 1/3 to 1/2 less then had we bought the same food/snacks with cash each day.
I ran across a great link on the boards that lists basically all the snacks you can get on the plan broken down by park and hotel. I was shocked by some of the yummy items that we can use our snack credit for each day.

I have declared this trip as my All You Care to Eat Adventure. Between eating whatever you want on the cruise and the meals on the dining plan after at wdw I may not need to eat for a couple of weeks after returning to Ohio!
:rotfl: :rotfl:

1st thing only 3 more Saturdays and we are leaving for Disney.:woohoo: :woohoo:

We wanted the Dinning plan but we booked the whole thing thur DCL so we could not get it. They said that might change here pretty soon. But not soon enough for us. So we will be feeding the Disney bank account.popcorn::

I do not know about the rest of you but I can not wait for this trip anymore. I just told my son's teacher about the trip and she was not happy about the dates she said it was to close to their end of the year show. But she understood that we booked it so long ago and told us she would work it out.

I must say this week went by pretty fast I just hope the rest go by as fast if not faster.

P.S. My DH is going under on Monday.

First off... good wishes for your husband Mickey4!

I too can’t believe vacation is just around the corner. When I reminded my wife at dinner how little time we actually had left she responded with a "shoot". I think she was a bit shocked that it has shown up so fast, and she likely doesn’t have everything clothing wise that she wants for herself (as usual).

I was checking the school calendar and realized Friday that we are leaving a day after Meghan’s big 4th grade state tests finish up. They last the first two weeks of May. The school would have likely freaked if we pulled her from those, so I am happy I picked the right time for vacation without knowing what her school schedule was. We told Meghan and Morgan’s teachers during conferences last month that we would be doing the extended vacation. They were both ok with it and said just to remind them about a week in advance and they will try to get stuff together for the girls to do. They may also ask them to keep a journal of sorts about their vacation experience.

DW's mom I guess was telling her that she wasnt sure about funds for vacation. It seems to be an up an down all the time. :confused3
However, I know how she is and she will likely have the opposite attitude about it as the trip grows closer and be ready for some R&R. She did accept a job offer late last week in which she will be her own boss and basically start up a new home rental company in her area. That is what she did with the prior company. Her income will be very little for a couple of months till she builds the business and gets the $$ rolling in.

1st that is great that your MIL got a job. Wonderful news.:thumbsup2 Yes we are ready to start packing. I am thinking about getting Spencer a new pair of shoes. His kinda of got muddy at tball. He was just watching Zachary and running around playing. We hit the 50's today and the snow is gone again:woohoo: . I must say it is nice to see green again. We even mowed the law today is was really tall.

So know that we all know our trip is right around the corner I must say the diet started here today. popcorn::
