May 13, 2007 EARLY Roll Call… 5/13/2007 4-Night Wonder

I was chatting at work the other day about going on a diet so I could arrive back to work after vacation at my normal weight from all the eating. Someone said oh no dont do that.... eat more then ever before hand so your stomach can expand and then you can really eat a lot on vacation!! :rotfl2:

As for shoes, I struck a great deal on eBay late last night on a new-in-box pair of Nike Air Max 360 running shoes. $160 new in stores and only $65 with shipping on eBay!! I searched high and low for the exact color combo. I was at an elem. school event with Thad Matta (Ohio State Basketball Coach) a handful of weeks back and saw him with OSU school colors on his shoes. I was thinking they must have been custom ones made for the school teams by Nike. However, I spoke with a great rep from Nike and she hooked me up with all the info to find the same shoe online. Cant wait for them to arrive!

I was thinking eat less that way we are so hungry we can eat that much more and want to eat that much more with out getting sick.:rotfl2:

I am looking forward to trying new foods and eating alot.

Is anyone else obsessed with these boards? I must check the review board 6 times a day to see if anyone has added anything.

My DH wants to take the computer away.:rotfl2: I am on these boards so much. I can not even tell you how many times a day. I love watching to see if we have any new posts and check the passporter ones for planning. Also read lots of trip reports.:surfweb: :surfweb:

i received my documents for the land part of my trip today so hopefully the cruise ones are close behind:cool1:

I hope that means I get my Documents today. Because I am too doing a land part 1st. I will have to keep my eyes out.

I am considering flipping our stay the night before sailing from the Radisson @ Port to Country Inn & Suites. 50.00 less for the night and free cont breakfast. Guess I will read up more on the reports from past guests to make a final decision.

I think I might. For 50 less. Sounds like a nice amount of change to me. Think of the special drinks you could get with that. I am the kind of person to save a dollar anyway I can. I must say the more days that go bye the more ready I am.

I heard that the Coutry Inn and Suites was a good deal too. I was thinking of getting closer to port. We are at the Comfort Inn and Suites now.

I must be a food snob, because I don't really think cruise food is all that great. At least on the ones I have been on. RCL alternative restaurants were wonderful but the dining room was OK. But I still love cruising for all of the other things. At WDW I have some favorites though. Like the seafood place at downtown Disney, Brown Derby, and Wolfgang Pucks.

All that said, I am ordering cookies and milk everyday on the cruise for room service.

I started to read passporters TR too. There is a great trip report by these three women that went on a DCL cruise!!!! Have you read it yet?

Yes I have I am glued to it. I think those girls had the best trip. I am going to check when I am done here for a new update. IT is a great report.

SkyW- are you in Cape Canaveral for one night before sailing out? What time do you arrive?

Scottie, Yes we are at Port C for one night. We should get to our hotel around 1pm and am hoping for an early check in.

We are flying SWA and I think our flight lands at 1:05, so we should be to port by 2:30ish. I am also hoping the hotel will let us in the room then because the girls (and myself) will want to jump into the pool and I imagine DS will be ready for a nap or pool time by then too.

It is the nap thing for me. I want to start my son off right. When we went to WDW last Jan, we went to MK first. We started off on a golf cart and then the boat ride to MK. He was already stimulated to the max by those two events. We went on 4 rides and he was done. Soooo, I figure we will need a nap when we get there.

We are hitting the ground running when we go. We are going to take it slow and try to be in early everynight. So I hope the kids ar ok.

We fly in on May 9th and we already said that on the night before we set sail that we are hitting the early like 8 or 9 pm because I want the boys to get a good nights rest.

You can all count me among the DIS board obsessed.:surfweb:

Mickey4, hope everything goes OK with your DH tomorrow.

As for cruise food...I love it! It's quite different from the things we eat at home. And like so many have said, I don't have to shop for it, prepare it or clean up after it! I really enjoy every meal.:woohoo:

I will keep you all posted on how DH does in the moring. I am sure it will be fine but you never know.

I can not wait for the food. And yes not having to shop for it clean up after it or make it sounds wonderful too. Not having to do any house work for 9 days sounds wonderful. Much less deal with the same day to day life. Boy is a trip needed.

Mickey4 I am sure all will go well..hang in there and think about all of the fun that is just ahead for you and your family!!

I haven't written in awhile. Trying to get past some busy days. I think we are cleared now until the big vacation!
Funny though my husband who never travels for work got a last minute trip. You guessed it to Florida. He goes to only come home and in less than two weeks go back for our family trip. California to Florida two times in less than 20 days.
Oh well he can figure out the plan for when the girls and I are with him.

I wanted to put in a countdown calendar that I made but it won't let me. I guess you need a higher clearance level:rotfl:

I would love to read that thread on the 3 ladies who took the DC but I am not sure where it is...anyone with a link?
Michelle

Rhondainma, I noticed you got the Walt Suite for your next cruise!!!!! WOW how nice.

Yes, after a year on a waiting list and then booking 15 months ahead we were able to finally book the Walt Suite. If anyone is ever interested in booking one of the suites you have to plan way ahead of time.

Mickey4... Good luck with your husband tomorrow.
