May 13.2006 Eastern

My DW has been spending all morning getting our clothes ready as she didn't have to babysit today, so she has been taking advantage of the free time. Now DW is heading our to get hair products for her and our DD, then will be going to the party good store to see if she can find some items for us for pirate: Pirate Night, then she will be going to Staples the ink for my printer.

We have a retirement party to go to tonight for a co-worker of mine, that lucky dog!!!

OK, it's time to get some lunch!!!

Deck 6 is going to be the party deck!!

Woohoo!!! Sounds fun!!!

Ok, everyone is so much more prepared than I am!! Yikes, I better get packing this weekend! I haven't packed a single thing! I still have to get the pillow case done, my dress hemmed, the door sign! :rolleyes1

Tsirgey- My parents are going to be your neighbors--they are in 6582.We are down the hall in 6508 and my FIL is on deck 2.

I bought my underwater cameras. Only video camera tapes left to buy and we are set! I've got our outfits all in one area of my closet. Kids haven't noticed 7 of their shirts are gone. I'll probably wait until a day or two before we head to WDW to pack.

Does anyone know where to find what current movies are showing on board? I thought I remembered there was a phone number or thread but can't find it.

I received this from someone that was cruising last week on the Magic.

Here is a list of the movies:

Eight Below
Chronicles of narnia
Glory Road
Chicken Little
Casanova
Shaggy Dog
Stay Alive
Herby Fully Loaded
The Wild
Annapolis

In your staterooms, the following movies were also showing on top of disney classics:
The Producers
Fun with Dick and Jane
Yours, Mine and Ours
Harry Potter 4
Memoirs of a Geisha
Zathura
Prime
Rumor has It
Elizabethtown
The Greatest Game ever played
Goodnight and Goodluck
Pride and Prejudice

My niece and her family are in 6036, and my sister and BIL are in 6038. My niece's friends are also on deck 6 but I forget what their cabin number is. :confused3

Hazel got the other pirate: pirate stuff we needed, so it looks like we are in good shape for pirate: Pirate Night.

Now that I have the ink for my printer, I can start printing off our door signs!!! :yay:

I just got back from getting my haircut, now it's time to start getting ready for my co-workers retirement party. :woohoo:

See you guys tomorrow morning with the next day's countdown!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks V-man for the movie list. We have purposely avoided seeing the lastest releases so we can watch one or two on board with the kids.

Are you guys wearing your pirate stuff to dinner or just for the party that evening?

I'm already trying to figure out which dates would be good for rebooking while we're on the cruise...and how to talk DH into it! I think there will be some martinis involved.

Just got in from the retirement party a little bit ago, Hazel and I had a very nice time. I kept getting asked when I was going to retire since I have 27 years in with the township. My reply to everyone that asked me was: 3 years, 11 months, 2 weeks and 6 days, not that I'm counting, mind you!!! :rotfl2:

As far as the pirate: pirate outfits, yes, we are planning on wearing them to dinner on pirate: Pirate Night. I also printed off my door sign that I made for pirate: Pirate Night. I'll post a picture of it later as I have it saved in my desktop, and I'm working off my laptop at the moment. Plus, our new cat Cinnamon, just jumped up in my lap and went to sleep. I still have a few other door signs to print off over the next few days.

OK, I'm heading off to bed, but I wanted to post a pic of our pirate: Pirate Night door sign. And, since it is after midnight I can officially post:

pirate:We have 14 days until we sailaway!!!

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers,

I've been up since about 5:30 this morning working on door signs, now it's time to go balance the checkbook, sounds like fun doesn't it, LOL!!! :rotfl2:

Anyhoo, I just wanted to drop by and say good morning. Just think, today will be the last sailing to the Eastern Caribbean for the Magic until we get on!!! That should be enough to bring a :teeth: to your face!!! :goodvibes

Andy - love your door sign. Can't wait to see all the signs.
Yes, I think Deck 6 is going to be THE place. We're in 6078; so the port side is coverd too.

Just curious - does anyone know who our Captain will be?

Just 2 weeks from right now we will be in the Termnal :cheer2:

Nice Job on the door signs Andy. I could use some of your talent! I really like the Disney Clip Art. Where did you find it? That would make a great picture to add to our cruise scrapbook.

We can hardly wait to get on the Magic in 2 weeks. The trip seems to consume more and more of our daily conversations. We will have to re -book on board for sure so we have something to look forward to after this one. This is the longest we've ever waited from booking to an actual trip. It makes it that much harder keeping it quiet from the kids. We just can't wait to see their reaction once they realize they are going to be ON the Magic and not just watching it sail away.

The picture of Mickey, Donald and Goofy, with the Magic in the background was taken from a lithograph that we received during our 2004 cruise. I scanned it into my computer just to use for this door sign. The red Pirates IN the Caribbean picture (bottom center on the sign) was from a bandana that we received during our 2004 Pirate Night Party, I also scanned that into my computer as well.

Right now I'm working on a door sign with a pic of my mom celebrating her 70th birthday, I'm going to surprise her with that sign, LOL!!!

I have a few more ideas I'm working on as well, but to see them, you'll have to take a stroll past our cabin on deck 6. ;)

We're in 6080. Did someone mention martinis? If it weren't for Grey Goose, we could probably take two cruises this year. Oh well, must set priorities. Maybe I can restock duty-free in a port somewhere and start the savings for next year.

Thanks for the info Verandah Man. We have tons of those red bandanas from our last cruise. There were 8 of our family members on board and they all gave our boys their bandanas after the party and the waiter gave them a couple extra too. It looks like they may have changed bandanas since we last cruised. We also had the exact same red ones that you scanned in, but it looks from recent trip report pictures that they are now black. Some one also said they did not receive them until the end of dinner, whereas we got them right as we sat down. We still have not decided if we are wearing pirate attire to dinner or waiting for the party. I guess whatever the boys want to do is fine by me. I'd like to get some pictures of them in their costumes with Pirate Mickey and don't know if they only do the pictures before dinner or through out the evening. Can't remember. Anyone know?? I wish I could persuade my husband to wear more than a black polo shirt. He said he may go for a tourist shirt from St. Martin with a skull and cross bones.

I guess the last Eastern before us leaves today.

Aquagirl,
Thanks for the information on the detergent and fabric sheets at CVS.

OK, my mom is probably going to kill me for this one, but I just made a sign for our cabin door celebrating her 70th Birthday this year!!!
