Great job Andy, thought you were going to *sleep in* this morning? *haha

Well, actually I did, since most mornings I'm up between 5am and 6am, sleeping until 7am, even after going to bed a 3am, to me, is "sleeping in!!!" LOL!!!

My DW and DD are still sound asleep and will be for awhile I imagine, LOL!!!

Nice job on the Musical photo show Andy. Congrats to your daughter that it went so well. I'm glad to hear the show went on and was so successful after everyone feeling ill for a bit last week!

Andy- Great job on the slide show. Sounds like the show was a blast.

We received our Dillards cooler. I guess we got lucky, which usually doesn't happen to us. We did see rolling coolers in WalMart if anyone is still looking.

We started picking up the essentials here and there......underwater cameras, glow sticks, Pirate stuff, lanyards and AC Moore was a hit for getting great puffy stickers of the Princesses and letters in Mickey head shapes.
My DH surprised our DDs almost 7 and 4 with embroidered pillowcases that say
"Disney Cruise May 13, 2006" with their names on the hem. We are going to pick up Fabric markers so they can be signed. They were thrilled!!!!!
I have all the DDs clothes set and ready in big bags just need to pull out the suitcases.....
PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE........ :hourglass

:badpc: I am always the first to be prepared! bpd196 I can't believe you are beating me ;) I have clothese layed out many weeks in advance and people think I am crazy :confused3 I can't wait to tell friends you are 7 weeks and starting the organization - I have clothes I purchased almost ready (washed etc.) but nothing from storage yet :rolleyes1 getting a little anxious now that someone is ahead of me.

I do have many things picked up along the way - I like to have cleaning supplies and room fresheners so I still need to buy those but all and all I am pretty much done shopping! I also travel with a pretty hardy first aid kit that could use some things added to it - it is the crazy nurse in me that likes to be prepared :thumbsup2

Have a great night everyone!

Good Sunday Morning Fellow Cruisers,

The day has finally arrived, :yay: in a few short hours we will be heading to my niece's house near Atlantic City for my mom's Surprise 70th Birthday Party. :yay: It will finally be revealed to "everyone" about the May 13th cruise, and I will be quite relieved. We were going nuts Friday evening trying to remember, who knows what, what not to say to who. :rotfl2: We were trying to talk about the cruise when my sister wasn't around, and trying to talk about the party when my mom wasn't around. :rotfl:

It's getting time to go wake up our DD Sleeping Beauty princess: so she can get herself ready.

My mom thinks we are going down to my niece's so she can see her great granddaughters before heading back home this coming Wednesday.

Be talking to you all later!!! :wave2:

Hope you all had fun Andy! Can't wait to hear how the surprise went!

Started working on our shirts and door magnets yesterday!

Have any of you experienced cruisers had a problem with sea lice on CC--especially you May cruisers? This sounds so eeww-y!!

I am going to see my neurologist before we cruise. I get migraines, and there is a connection between migraines and motion sickness. :headache: :crazy2:

We have only been to CC in February and had no problems at that time. I do agree it sounds nasty. I know that they have a product you can buy to slather on to help prevent it. I don't know the name, just remember reading it a good while back on someone else's post.

I also get mirgraines and tend to get very motion sick on anything beyond playground swings, so I'd be interested to hear what your neurologist says. Fortunately I haven't gotten one migraine on our 2 past cruises.

Hooksenemy- What are you doing for t-shirts? When we were in AC Moore a couple weeks ago, I pointed out the lime green Hanes shirts and asked my husband if he'd wear one if I customized it with " Hanover 1, 2, 3 and 4" to wear to our Dis meet on board. He looked at me and said "the funny thing is I know you're not kidding." I am still thinking about doing it anyways....
He did agree to wearing matching blue shirts we got last year at Castaway Cay once on the trip so I can't complain. At least we won't clash in those pictures like we normally do the other days!

Verandah Man- I hope your mom's party is going great. You'll have to post some pictures from it. By the way, she's a very young looking 70!

No problems last time when we cruised in May with sea-lice. I have read if you stay away from areas in the water that have grass/weeds you shouldnt have any problems

We fly in 46 days!!! Remember when it was over 100??

Hi All,

Just walked in the door from my mom's party. We had a great time and the few surprises we had planned, went off great. I was behind my mom walking in the house so I didn't get to see her face as 40+ people yelled surprise. We weren't even in the house 2 minutes and my neice said to me, "We have to do the other surprise on my mom right now before I go crazy." So, with my neice's video camera running she handed my sister the DCL postcard and had her read it out loud. My sister did good until she got to the part that my mom and I were going to be joining her on the cruise, then my sister started crying and handed the postcard to one of my other neices to finish reading it. We got her good!!! :thumbsup2

Don't you know I walked out of the house without my digital camera and had to stop at a Walmart and pick up a one-time use camera. I dropped that off at CVS on the way home. I am having a CD made with the pics I took, the CD should be ready for me to pick up on Wednesday. I was so mad at myself for forgetting my camera, but it was a little crazy here trying to get everyone ready and out the door to get to the party on time, as it was we got there about 30 minutes later then when I wanted to get there. Oh well, we made and still had a lot of fun.

After eating and the cutting of the cake, the cruise talk started. :rotfl2: While we were talking I asked my neice why she didn't schedule the 10am shuttle to the port, she said, "What, there is a 10am shuttle?" No sooner were the words out of her mouth, she called the Radisson and had our group of 12 added to the 10am shuttle. So, if any of you are booked for the 10am shuttle leaving the Radisson that Saturday morning, beware of our group!!! :lmao:

I'll post a few pics once I get them in my computer. I'm hoping my neice will send me some of her pics while I'm waiting for mine.

It's been a very long weekend and I am pooped, I'm going to bed early tonight!!!

Later All :wave2:

So, have we set up a place to meet the first day on the ship? Is it by the slide at 3?

Hanover, our shirts are for boarding - I asked someone on the DIS (Julia & Nicks Mom) to design a shirt for all the kids (5) with their names and characters - they came out awesome

I got them all at Old Navy - the boys are wearing grey bodied T-shirts with Navy sleeves

The girls are wearing white bodied T-shirts with Navy sleeves

As for the adults as of now this is what I am thinking!

Moms - to wear white shirts with some type of disney logo iron ons that I am trying to create with my new software and printer! I am have difficulty and honestly not getting a ton of help on the DIS but I am still plugging away! I am just a "true" novice at all if it but once it clicks I am in serious trouble with creativity

Dad - to wear Navy shirts with embroidered characters (done by a friends mom)

i found some great character clipart on google - that I copy & pasted, I just need to figure out how to edit? Any help from anyone on this thread is appreciated!

I want to do my door magnets online but can't figure out how to layer and do graphic downloads etc...

Talk soon.

Bite your tongue!!! The weather is going to be lovely!!
There is an Irish Catholic tradition to put the Blessed Mother in the window to get nice weather (Irish Catholics are the worst kind, especially those from the Bronx :lmao: )

Maybe I'll pack my statue :thumbsup2

So 3p at the slide it'll be :sunny:

My kids will be in the pool even if it does the r-word unless they are closed because of lightening. I won't allow myself to think that weather could actually occur on our vacation! Really, I had not even thought of the possibility and suppose I'd better pack a small umbrella or disposable (2 for a dollar) ponchos just in case. We had picture perfect weather on our last Disney cruise and I am hoping for the exact same thing for this cruise.

I want to do the signs myself, I had Julia & Nicks mom design my shirts but I will be honest, I love that kind of stuff, I just need a good mentor.

I want to be a DISigner - some day one cna only hope I can be 1/2 as good as some here on the DIS. I am doing shirts this week!
