Hi Shelly,

The way I make chocolate cover pretzels:

Buy the big Hershey chocolate bars and melt 3 of them in a microwave for about 1 minute and then check, add 30 seconds more until you can stir it up. Be careful not to over melt and burn the chocolate.

I usually get the big pretzel rods and pretzels from Snyders and just dip them in.

Place them on a coookie sheet with wax paper and let them set for about 15 minutes and then add toppings, like mini M&Ms, Jimmies, Seeds, crushed candy canes, etc.

I then put them in the fridge for about 45 minutes to finish them off and box them up. I store them in the freezer until I am ready to eat or give them away.

Thanks for the recipe's Seacrest & NC!! I just may try them both!!

NC - I do cut out cookies. Today I made snowmen, teddybears, stars, crosses, and of course - mickey heads!! I put sugar and/or sprinkles on most of them. I left some of them plain so I could frost them closer to Christmas.

That is funny about the Jimmies! We were at Dairy Queen this summer and DS6 told me he wanted sprinkles on his ice cream. So I asked him if he wanted rainbow sprinkles or jimmies. DH was like - what in the world are jimmies??? :rotfl: I told him he was probably the only person in the world that didn't know what jimmies are! I'll have to tell him that he has company NC!!

Well, I was going to post some pictures of my Christmas tree and my Mickey head cookies, but I am having computer troubles AGAIN! :headache: Now I can finally get my pictures transfered from the camera to the computer, but I can not upload them to photobucket (or anywhere else) for some reason. I am so mad!! :badpc:

Love it!!!

Mornin!

Well, Miss Thang, you are almost there. Yes, you, Huggie.

I am sooooo jealous. Hey.... are you doing MVMCP? I'm on the fence about doing it next year.

Okay, Jobird's Corner News:
Nothing new. No passing out, thank goodness. Mark was home yesterday just in case, hAHA.

I read The Polar Express to Belle this morning and started sniffling and crying and blubbering. I am such a baby. I'll get better after this weekend. The
7th is the anniversary of my Dad's death and from Thanksgiving to then I am always a wreck, crying at the drop of a hat. Then after that I get better, and Christmas comes and then New Years and my (shhhhh) Birthday. I'll be 29! Ahem, again. Yay me! I love being 29. It's such a wonderful number.:rotfl:

Oh my gosh, my banana isn't frozen this morning! I'm not sure why, because all this snow blowing around sure would make it seem to be. That was for you, Shelly.

Backing away from the coffee pot. This steroid and the coffee are like uppers in JoBird's little ole' body. Mark keeps laughing at me because I can't sit still and I ramble on and on, just like now.:rolleyes1

Jo
Yes we will be at MVMCP on the 11th. I cant wait. I am sorry about your Dad. I understand my dad died when I was 15 and I also seem to get sad around the anniversary of his death. :grouphug: :grouphug: Happy early 29th birthday.:rolleyes1

Congrats

Love the tree and the ornaments

And. . . . . The cookies!!! :santa:

Yummy. They look great. You just reminded me that I bought myself a mickey cookie cutter in may. I have to use it when I get back.

Mari- Congrats to your sister

Jc- Where are you??

Michelle- Thinking about you and baby Roman

New Crew- We use sprinkles in NY ;)

Mella- Hey:)

Ok off to type up lists for my stepdad and my neighbor. You should see my house. I tape lists all around the house. :rotfl:

BBL

Okay, the only thing I've ever heard of referred to as Jimmie's are, um, something that a man uses...:rolleyes1
I know that's not what goes on a cookie.

Shelly, the tree is fab, the cookies look yum and I am ready for you to bring me some of those goodies you are baking. I see the smoke from your fire just north of me and I can smell them from here.:rotfl: I wanted to buy Mickey ornaments in May, and didn't. I KNEW I'd be sorry, and yep. I am.

Huggie, thanks about my birthday... I think maybe this year I will be 28! Maybe no one will notice.
It's hard being without your dad, isn't it? I miss mine so much. It's been 7 years and I am still lost.:guilty:
As for your lists... I'm a list girl too. I think it's peri-menopau...um, never mind...shh...not that. I AM only 29, you know.:rotfl:

I will try to post pics of my tree. I can't ever get a good pic of one with the lights. I hate my camera.:sad2:

Jo

Shelly - Yeah! Thanks for telling me about your dh. Now I know I'm in good company.

Huggie - We have always used sprinkles in AR, OH, and in TX. I just never heard that before. :confused3 Who knew?

Seacrest - You are just so flippin' cool. It is hard for some us to keep up with you! :cool1:

Okay, the only thing I've ever heard of referred to as Jimmie's are, um, something that a man uses...:rolleyes1

I don't know what that is either. :confused3 And I don't think I want to know. :sad2: :scared1:

Roll, cut, place on pan, sprinkle, bake cool. Start all over. Lots of work!

Those are some cute cookies!

I like your ornaments too! Especially your homemade ones!

I get a ornament every time we go. The girls have personalized ornaments too. I love them

If you can see, I have the disney train on the bottom. It is so cool. It blows smoke.
