Your welcome JO! I'm not sure about the wreath prices at Kraynaks. Some of their stuff is a little high I think, but a lot of it is really unique. You can get any type of ornament you can think of. We usually get really neat teacher and bus driver gifts there.


Last year Disney On Ice came to Youngstown. It was Mickey & Minnie's Magical Journey. Did anyone else see this in your town? It was really great. We loved it. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, & Daisy were on a journey around the world and each stop was a different show. There were four shows: 101 Dalmations, Peter Pan, Lilo & Stitch, and The Little Mermaid. A great mix for girls and boys. I was patiently waiting to see what they'd have this year and then I got an email awhile back to purchase discounted tickets early but it's going to be - Disney On Ice The Princess Classics. What are they thinking. Don't they know they just cut their audience in half. That makes me so mad when they do that. I asked my boys if they would like to go to it (joking) and they ran away screaming - no way no princesses!!!!!

Lunch update: went to Le Petit Cafe. Had a turkey sandwich, fries and a coke.

Shelly, I am very surprised that Disney did not do a POTC Ice Show. Can you imagine the $$$ they would reap on that? I laughed when I read about your boys' reaction if they wanted to see the Dis Princess show. Can't blame them!

I've used Priceline, but not to get to Orlando. I used it to go from Huntington, WV to Lincoln, NE and got a pretty good deal, BUT both of those are really small airports (think two airlines, 8 flights a day small) and REALLY hard to get a deal out of, so Priceline was the only way to go. I did end up on the last incoming flight of the day, but outgoing was mid-afternoon which wasn't too bad...

I'd do a search to see what the cheapest flights are on their site, if they're something you can live with, then see about bidding them down. Also betterbidding.com has some great tips about using Priceline/Hotwire.

Rise and Shine!

This morning I was going over things for our trip to Dallas to American Girl Place. As I was rereading everything, I noticed that we are staying at a Starwood Hotel which is the parent company of the the Swan and Dolphin. I will get to sleep in a Heavenly Bed. I have read about those here on the DISboards. I started laughing out loud because I tell my husband that the DISboard is a wealth of knowledge on subjects. I am so excited. I won't we sleeping at WDW at the Swan or Dolphin, but I will be sleeping in a bed LIKE the ones they have at the Swan and Dolphin at WDW. Does that count as a near WDW experience? What do you think?

Hey everyone.... I See it's a SLOW day here today..... My mother is funny now they plan the fl trip to their timeshare... it would be dates april 19 -26. But i told her that now i can't go with them since i'm going in May... she was a little upset (sad) but hey what can we do.....

Hi Mari! Wow it has been slow here lately!

I was at the school this morning. Our fundraising stuff was in for the PTO so I had to go help sort and deliver it to the classrooms. Now I have to organize, get volunteers, and run Santa's workshop for the entire kindergarten class! Oh well, It'll keep me busy for awhile!! I'm trying not to think about the Disney trip every second of everyday. Although I was apparently daydreaming on the way home from the school. I was going to stop at the grocery store, but I drove right past it! So then I had to turn around and go back!!

I have often thought about lots of ideas for character meals geared towards little boys at WDW. Like, Buzz & Woody, Star Wars, Pirates, etc. I'm just not sure that anyone at Disney cares what I think!!

Glad you can understand my boys reaction!! Only someone with all boys would think that was funny!!!!

Hey everyone! Another beautiful day in SoCal - the high today is going to be about 83.

No lunch plans yet. Trying to sort out the morning madness.

Dealing with the extended family and their expectations about Thanksgiving next week. They expect everything to be the same as it was before in the past...unfortunately, parents get older and they can't do or manage a holiday gathering any more. Well, they are going to have to deal with it whether they like it or not. LOL!

It's Friday! What's everybody's plans for the weekend? We were going to go into the city for light up night tonight but I think it is going to be too cold & windy. Bummer.
