How's the weekend going? It's cold here!
The kids have a birthday party in a few hours. Later we will go pick up their Christmas pictures and probably go to dinner. Church and the last Nascar race tomorrow. That's about it around here!

Good Morning everyone!!!

It is supposed to be a rainy day here but we have HSM on ice tickets tonight. I cant wait. Should be fun.

Yesterday, we put up the Christmas lights outside and after all that. Dh discovered that one little section didn't work. So I have to run over to Home Depot and get a replacement before Dh decides he doesnt want to get back on a ladder.

Hello Everyone... It has been a VERY long and crazy weekend here... My Dis vacation is in jeopardy now. Well not really but the one i have picked out is. You see remember that i mentioned my cousin was killed in guatemala and that he was in a gang. well the reason he was killed is because he owed some very bad people some money so they took his sister my other cousin and do want to give her back unharmed until they get their money so i gave my uncle what I had which included the money I had set aside for Dis. And i know they will never be able to pay everybody back... I've had a headache all weekend long.... This is TOO much drama for me....

Oh wow, what a difficult situation! I am praying for your cousin's safe return. I hate that people do not think of what their choices could mean for their families. It is very generous of you to give what you have towards your cousin's return. I firmly believe that when one door closes, God opens another.

Good morning everyone. It is cold here in Iowa!! It was a shock walking out to get in the vehicle to go to church. Our cats didn't even stay out long this morning. Goofy actually came back in as soon as he went out. Mickey & Simba made it about 15 minutes longer but they were ready soon after that. I can't wait until our trip. I am really having Disney withdrawls right now because the last two years we have gone down the week after Thanksgiving so we would be getting ready to go now At least the countdown is below two hundred days now and ADRs will be getting made this week--that always makes it feel like the trip is almost here. I agree with JM.

God sees your family and what is going on. He knows you and calls you by name. He also sees your act of selflessness in giving what you can to help a family member in a time of trouble. You were willing to give up a pleasurable thing to help someone. That act alone will not go unnoticed.

I am praying for your family ; for your cousin's safe return and for the peace of God to flow in each of your lives.

Hi JC!

The kids first day back to school was okay. Mary Cat said two of her teachers were total butts to the class. The science teacher announced a test for on Friday. Yes, the day after Thanksgiving. He knows not many students are going to be there. He just happens to be a negotiator, and is, well, frankly, sickening.

It is still an ugly scene around here. The teachers blaming the school board, the board blaming the union and teachers, the community blaming everyone, and then the students. Who do nothing but suffer and wait for a Holiday season to come that isn't going to be for them. It's all very sad.
