Good Morning Everyone!

Happy Friday! I have been so busy with work this week, I haven't had a chance to catch my breath. I am working from home today and I plan to get done with my work by noon so that I'll have a little me time before I pick up my baby.

This weekend is pretty busy, this evening I am going to my Grandmother's record release party. Tomorrow, Jordan has a birthday party to attend and hopefully we'll be out in time to catch the light's festival featuring Mickey Mouse . Sunday, I will do all of my grocery shopping for Thanksgiving and pull out all of my Christmas decorations..

I am able to make my ADRs tomorrow and my agent at Dreams Unlimited has my list and will be makeing them for me .

I'm here, just busy. Trying to get all the kids together for school. I have to take Belle in just a bit, them I'm off to do some shopping, because I haven't done much for Christmas.

NC~ Have fun in Dallas! American Girl. I love it.
Belle wanted Nicki. Then she wanted Julie. Then Nicki. Then Felicity. Then Julie again, and then she was sick of all of it and said she just wanted the dog Coconut, and hated all of the dolls. She is only 5, so she is a bit young still. She has inherited Kit, Molly, Kaya, and um, there's another one I can't remember her name, also the bitty baby twins and one bitty baby, along with the strollers, beds, desks, clothes, etc...so I think she can go without for one Christmas.

Huggie~ Thanks for worrying about me. I am okay. Still waiting to go do some more tests on my joints.
HSM on Ice sounds fun! I am getting tickets to Beauty and the Beast today for Charleston. I can't wait to see Belle's reaction. There are front row tix still available.


Ya'lls tickers are in tandem! Tandem tickers! Sounds, um, naughty?? HA HA!


Well, the snow is pretty. Today, at least, it is. Now tomorrow, I'll probably feel different. But the Christmas music playing and the snow falling is... nice. Go ahead and write it down 'cause it will be the only time you will hear me say it this winter.

You asked for it!

My Grandmother is a gospel singer. She began singing in church at the age of 4 and began her professional career at age 18. She started a group called the Caravans and by age 22, the group had their first hit album.

The group disbanded in the 60's and everyone went their separate ways careerwise, but remained close as friends. My grandmother has had an amazing solo career has recorded over 60 albums, been nominated for 14 Grammy awards and won 1. She has sang at the White House for President Bush and was presented with a National Endowment of the Arts award, she also sang for Nelson Mandela on his first trip to the US after being released from prison. I could go on and on, but I'll stop there. In 1995 she decided that she would not record anymore solo albums as she has Emphysema and Restrictive Lung Disease. She did however continue to tour and do guest appearances on other albums.

In 2006, her old group decided to record a new album as they hadn't recorded together in over 40 years. To everyone's surprise the album turned out to be a huge hit and the "girls" are now touring together again. My Granny's best friend is also a member of the original group (she is my little Granny) and she just recorded another solo album and featured my Granny as a guest artist.

That is the release party that is happening tonight. Sorry for the book, but my Granny and my baby are my two favorite subjects and I can talk about both all day. I am extremely proud of her as she has to be on oxygen at all times, yet her joy and zest for life has not declined. She continues to travel and sing and touch lives whenever she can. In the midst of all this she still manages to be an awesome matriarch to our little family. Ok I am stopping now for real.

I pray her health will improve and she will be able to bless many more generations with her talent. How blessed you are to have her in your life.
