Good Morning all......

What a beautiful day it will be in NJ......

Good Morning MAYers! :goodvibes

Just wanted to say hi! Busy day ahead of me with DS's birthday party tonight. Looks like it is going to be another beautiful day here in PA too! It figures, I planned a small indoor party. Had I planned a big outdoor party it would be raining and 50 degrees out! Oh well, we'll still have fun! :wizard:

Have a great weekend everyone!

Huggie & JC ~ Just think, in JUST 7 months from now our tickers will say 1 WEEK until Disney, instead of 7 Months 1 Week! :rotfl:

I know I cant wait to make my adr's. I really want to try new places but I think I made to many for my upcoming trip. So I think I will cancel a couple breakfast adrs and make them for May. But if you want check out my dec ticker. I will be there before I know it.

hey Shelly~

Not much happening down South!:goodvibes I was thinking I need to go into the Kitchen and make a chocolate cake or something. Ha ha. Got any cookies left?????:rotfl:

Are you going to start a Pre-Trip report? I am trying to live vicariously through my MAYer pals, but it's not going so well.:guilty: I am so, so, so, so ,so, so, so, so so soooooooooo bummed about not having a trip to plan.

On a lighter note, the leaves around here are turning and are beautiful.

I love Fall....
NOT looking forward to snow. Ewwwww.

Jo

That is not the MAYER spirit. Keep working on it. I know you can do it.     :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I just got High School Musical on Ice tickets for the girls as a Halloween gift. They are going to be sooo excited. I am at least. :rotfl2:

I tried for Hannah Montana but that was a lost cause.

My Dec trip wil be here before I know it. I have a bunch of things planned over the next 2 months. I think I have something to do every weekend until the trip. I got Isabelle tickets to the Christmas spectacular she is going to be so excited.

That is it for me. I have to clean the house now. We are having company tomorrow and it needs to be **** and span.

Can you believe this weather. Hello!!!! I went in the pool yesterday up to my thighs I was cleaning it so we can close it this weekend but it wasnt cold. I might have to jump in.

Hi everyone!

OMG what a crazy ten days it has been. Not enough room to tell all about it. But, in a nutshell, I am a grateful that my neice is ok and wasn't harmed by her exboyfriend who had just did a hideous crime, before he had picked her up. She was so fortunate that she was not his next victim.

It is so weird to see the story on the tv news, radio and on the front page of the newspaper. Thankfully, he was caught a few hours after my neice called the police. Hopefully our justice system will lock him away for life.

Crazy!

Anyways...

Nothing solid offer yet from Disney. My wife has an interview at the Getty Center on Thursday. I told her if she works there, you can ride their monorail everyday to her work!

I think I need to have another therapy session this weekend...even if it is only for a couple of hours!

LOL!

See ya!

Seacrest

Sounds as if you have been busy lately..... Whatever it was thank god ur niece is OK.

Even though you did leave me wondering what was going on.....

Hi Seacrest!

Thank God your niece is okay. How sad for her and everyone involved. I was wondering where you've been...

Keeping my fingers crossed for your wife.:goodvibes

I wanted to ask you...
IF (a very BIG if...) I were to plan a trip to "the Land";) , which hotel is the best to stay at there. Also, how many days would it take to go through the parks?

Not saying I'm going to, but I have something up my sleeve, so we'll see. Also, this is a really dumb question, but which airport would I fly into???? See, I told you it's an "if"!:lmao:

Thanks Jo!

I would plan to stay at least 3 days maybe 4. If you are coming off season, (fall and winter) make one of those days a weekend day so that you can see the fireworks and Fantasmic shows.

The best hotel at the resort right now is the Grand Californian. You have a private entrance for hotel guests there to DCA. It is also the newest too.

The best airport to arrive in is LAX (Los Angeles) it is about 35 miles to DL from there.

You also might want to add to your vacation these things too: Knotts Berry Farm (1 Day, 5 miles from DL) Hollywood & Beverly Hills (1 Day, 50 miles from DL), Venice Beach, Santa Monica Beach, Malibu Beach (My Hometown!, 1 Day 40 miles from DL)

I have got lots of ideas and things to see when you are in LA, just let me know what you want to do and I can help you put it together.

Hi MAYers.

Hope your weekend is off to a good start. I see that I am the only one posting this morning, so your day must be more eventful than mine.

I am wearing my Gator shirt, supporting our team before the "romp" occurs at 8 tonight at LSU. GO GATORS!

Seacrest, thanks for the info. I am thinking that I might have more luck convincing DH to go to CA (since it IS somewhere we haven't been.) But it would not be a trip only to DL, I'd have to incorporate some other things in there to keep DH happy.;)

Are there better days to be in the parks than others, and when is a really slow time? (Other than January)

I am an obsessive planner, down to the hour even, and not knowing anything about DL kills me.:)

DMM...
Hope all is well with you and Baby Roman!

Have a great Day!

:snooty:

ETA:

Where is Universal in relation to DL, and is ita lot like the one in FL or better?

Thanks Seacrest! J-

Thanks Seacrest! J-

We have found the best days to visit DL is on Wednesdays or Thursdays, execept during the summer time. The slow months are January, February and March. This is the time where most of the rehabs happens - a lot of ride closures.

Universal Studios is about 55 miles north of DL. To be honest with you, it is not that great of place. The amusement park/tour was an after thought when they built the place, so it is poorly laid out. I think they have a total of 4 or 5 rides (that includes the studio tour).

If you are a movie buff and want to see what goes on behind the scenes, then go for it. There are lots to things to see on the tour and plus it is an actual working lot. If you go during the work week, you will see production in progress for a few minutes as you travel on the tour ride.

If you want to see a TV show in production, like Jay Leno's Tonight Show or Jimmy Kimmel Live, that can be easily arrange. If you have a favorite sitcom or game show, those are a bit harder to get together, because they have certain production weeks, hiatuses, etc. If you know when you are going, then I can help you find what shows are available to see.

Do you want to see a stage show? Wicked is playing out here. I heard Lion King is coming back soon and maybe Little Mermaid. Also during the late spring and summer time the Hollywood Bowl has concerts that are fun to attend.

That is just the tip of the iceberg. There is a lot wonderful shopping and eating experiences to be had too. What else do you like to do?

Seacrest

Mornin':surfweb:

Hope everyone's weekend was great. Mine was wonderful until the Gators lost, but C'est la vie.:guilty:

Seacrest, thanks so much for all of the wonderful links and info! I am going to take some time to look through it all. It MAY (;)) not be Cali after all.:upsidedow

Last night DH started talking about WDW. I was shocked. I tried not to jump up and down and beg for a trip. It was hard. :rotfl: My heart was pounding, my hands were shaking. I had to leave the room on the premise of going to the potty.:scared1:

Still not there yet. I was trying to be nonchalant about it and act as if I didn't care whether we went or not. If it's HIS idea, it would be wonderful.

That's why I'm here. To nudge just enough so he will say to book it and I can say how wonderful of an idea, and how smart he is to think of it.;) HA!

Shelly, hope the party was great. Did you make the cake? I want to see!

DMM- Hope you are home with Baby and doing wonderful.

JC- Where are youuuuuuu????

Huggie- Your girls are going to be so excited about the Disney on ice. Did you close the pool yet?

Okay, off to do a few things in the house before it implodes. :rolleyes1

My DH actually was talking about next years family vacation this weekend. He told me to get figures on how much it would be again for WDW. Since my DD2 Loved it so much and now he sees her obsession with mickey mouse clubhouse and handy manny..... YAY...... I already looked and it's a little less then $3000 for us at POP this time with the new DDP the deluxe one..... YAY..... at that would be May 11 - 17..... I'm trying to get too excited since he said just to "look".

:wizard: I wish I may, I wish I might have the wish i made tonight......:wizard:
