It is funny how you see the same people over and over, but from the year before now that's unusual.

On park days, we would see some families at almost every ride or at lunch, etc.

I saw Lake almost everyday.

Then it amazes me that we were at Pop! and didn't see more of the MAYer Poppers! We were in the 60's on the lake side. It was so quiet, we loved it. We were not in the preferred section, but LOVED our location!

I had flower clings on our windows, so it went with the whole 60s theme. I didn't have a door sign, as I forgot to do one.

HEY! We saw your room! We got a pic of it! I wondered if that was a MAYer's room!

Just got back from a late lunch...I think I am going to take a nap here in the office and tell them to hold all my calls for 30 minutes.

I need a to find a Disney dream...

HEY! We saw your room! We got a pic of it! I wondered if that was a MAYer's room!

Mella - Thanks for telling me you saw our room. We were so far at the back I thought no one would see my cute little clings.

Off to dinner for DS's birthday. We have shopping for pirate loot for Friday night!

DH sent me this today in an email:

The Pirate Song

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirate's life for me
We pillage, we plunder we rifle and loot
Drink up me hearties, yo ho
We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot
Drink up me hearties, yo ho

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirate's life for me
We extort, we pilfer we filch and sack
Drink up me hearties, yo ho
Maraud and embezzle and even high-jack
Drink up me hearties yo ho

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirate's life for me
We kindle and char inflame and ignite
Drink up me hearties, yo ho
We burn up the city we're really a fright
Drink up me hearties, yo ho
We're rascals, scoundrels villains, and knaves
Drink up me hearties yo ho
We're devils and black sheep - really bad eggs
Drink up me hearties yo ho

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirate's life for me
We're beggars and blighters and ne'er do-well cads
Drink up me hearties, yo ho
Aye, but we're loved by our mommies and dads
Drink up me hearties, yo ho

I think he is becoming a Disney fanatic like me!

The Seacrest Family Trip Report - Day 1

The Cast: Dad, Mom, Chris & Jeremy

Day 1, May 14th – I woke up around 4:00 a.m. I had a difficult time sleeping because I was concerned I had forgot to pack or do something before I left town. And sure enough I did.- I needed more locks for a suitcases and so I drove over to CVS (which is open 24 hours) and picked up my locks and few other items and headed back home. Jumped into the shower, got dressed, checked my email and posted my goodbye message on the DISboard.

My dad picked us up at 5:15 a.m. and drove us to LAX. We got there about 5:35 a.m. unloaded and proceeded to check-in at American Airlines. No hassles with our booking, I had booked on expedia.com the whole package and it went smoothly. Got our tickets, went through security check and got to our terminal by 6:30 a.m.

My wife needed her Starbucks fix so I gladly accomadated her by waiting in a very long line that went out the door and around a corner. I thought to myself, is this a sign of what is to come at WDW??? I quickly casted that thought away!

After everyone got their snacks, water, etc. we boarded our flight to MCO. Our captain for the flight was Murdock (remember that crazy guy on the A-Team) My boys got a kick out that..too funny! We took off at 8:05 a.m. and had a very uneventful flight. I caught up on my lost sleep for a short while and we watch the movie, Music and Lyrics. Landed in Orlando about 3:15 p.m – about 45 minutes early. Got our luggage – no problems, got our rental paper squared away – no problem, pick up the car…we go and get the keys and just before the lady hands me the keys, she sticks her fingers up her nose! GROSS! Thankfully, she handed me the keys with her other hand, while her other hand was busy cleaning out her boogers and what not.

We had a white Dodge Magnum. It was a good fit for our family and could handle all of our luggage. It had leather interior and Siruis sattellite radio so I was able to listen to my favorite channels. Nice ride!

We drove directly to WDW…paid three tolls in a 10 mile stretch!

We connected to the 4 and we saw THE SIGN! Walt Disney World…there it was, our dreams were coming true! We were here! We yelled, we screamed – we just got stoked!
Awesome – we finally made it.

Found our home for the week, Coronodo Springs Resort. The kids were excited. My wife said it was nicer than the pictures on the internet. I walked over to the registration area…no line! Is this a sign??? Got our room keys, check on my special arrangements for my wife’s birthday. Drove over to our room, we were in building 8A, 8257. Perfect, corner room and it had two windows. Everything was clean and in order. We were right behind the main pool…which at first was a concern, but this place was so quiet, we heard nothing at all. There are trees and bushes surrounding the pool area. The rooms are built very well. I was impressed!

We put away our stuff and went over to check out the pool and walk around bit. Nice pool area. Plenty of towels, chairs, and very attentive life guards. The slide is awesome. My boys just loved it. Pool rating: 10! Went over to the snack bar and got some drinks and had a mini-celebration time. Got a brain freeze from my drink…need to slow down Dad!

My wife and I took a walk around the perimeter of the lake area and notice the rabbits, ducks and other kinds of wildlife. Coolness!

Went back to the room, washed up and we met up with our friends from Ft. Myers at Downtown Disney. By that time it was around 8:30 p.m. and it was amazingly busy. We headed over to Rainforest Café to see if we could get in…an hour and a half wait time...no way was I going to wait that long. I said to the hostess, I think we will go somewhere else, just then a manager came up to us and said if we didn’t mind, we could be seated in the bar area immediately…OK! Let’s do it!

My wife and I had shared the beef wraps and my boys had got the full platter of ribs to share. Our friends got the chicken wraps and a salad. We all had enough food and were filled up.

We decided to do some shopping and went down to the World of Disney store and looked around in there for a while. Went to the Virgin Megastore too and decide to call it a night and get back to our hotel room. The boys wanted to swim and I wanted to try out the jacuzzi…it was perfect! Time to wrap up the day and get some sleep for our first full day at WDW!

Next stop…EPCOT!

Sea...welcome home! ...great trip report...well just a little grossed out at the car rental person...yuck  Can't wait for more...and here I was thinking all you were doing today was napping..;)

As most of you are now home, we are ready to set off tomorrow. So glad that you all had a most magical time...we plan to also. Night all. :cheer2:

Nice pics Mella! I love you window and DMMs. DD and I walked around one afternoon looking for window decor. We couldn't find any. We went over toward the 70s, 80s, and 90s. All we could see were towel animals and one with some sort of sports flag in the window. I hate that I missed seeing those in person!

Since my wife was on vacation during her birthday, she got a surprise gift from her fellow teachers when she got back to work yesterday...a Disneyland Annual Pass! She was so happy! All the teachers have them, now she has one too. They can all go together and have their "girlfriend time".

Okay, where was I. . . .

Day 4: Wednesday May 16 - MK again! Today was a sleep in day. So that's just what we did! We were planning on getting to MK around 2 and staying to close. We were bored at the resort by 11:30 and headed out. We thought we'd hop the first bus we saw and take it to the park and then take a bus to another resort to try out their food court for lunch. Well the Epcot bus came first so we thought great that's the closest park anyway, so we got on. When we got to Epcot we decided we would just run in there to the Sunshine Seasons food court for lunch rather than taking another bus ride to another resort. Well what a shocker it was to walk into Epcot and it was SO CROWDED!! I am sorry if you went to Epcot Wednesday!! Must have been an EMH day or something. We could hardly make our way through to get to the Land. Lunch was okay at Sunshine Seasons, nothing great. I saw the wait for Soarin was at 45 minutes. When we were there on Monday we never waited for more that 10 minutes for Soarin, or anything. What a difference. After lunch we thought we better just get out of Epcot. We decided to take the monorail. Rode it to the TTC and got on the resort line monorail. Stopped at the Poly, looked around for JC, but couldn't find her. Stopped at the Grand Floridian briefly. Made our way to MK. It's now around 3:00. I thought great, we'll just take the train to frontierland and ride BTMRR while everyone else is watching the parade. Well we had to sit on the train at the station for like 12 minutes because the parade was going through Frontierland at that time. . . And by the time we got to Frontierland there were people everywhere!! Wait for BTMRR was 40 minutes. So we grabbed a fastpass. Went to the Countrybear Jamboree. Came out and it was nearly time for Woody's Cowboy camp. So we waited for that to come. Then I got chosen to participate in it! I had to wear a giant hat! The kids thought that was hilarious! Then we headed to Pirates. No wait. Came out of there and there was a short line to meet Peter Pan & Wendy. Did that. Went back to use our BTMRR fastpass and now the wait time was down to 15 minures in standby anyway! Took the train to Toontown, rode the Barnstormer twice. Checked out Mickey & Minnie's houses. Went to Tomorrowland. Rode Buzz, SpaceMTn and transit all with no waiting again! Tuesday and Wednesday are definitely the days to go to MK!! DH and DS's rode the Tea Cups, then we went to see if the line for Dumbo was any shorter than the day before, NOPE! Why is that always the longest line in the place??? So we waited and waited. Finally got to ride. Now it's 8:00. So we head to Aloha Isle to get our Dole Whips. DH and I got the pineapple, kids got choc&van twist. All were very good. Ate them as we walked down main street to get a spot at the end for the fireworks. Watched Wishes at 9:00 and then ran out of there and were on the bus to POFQ at 9:22!! Yes, we made excellent time!! So another great day at MK! The only thing about going on Tues & Wed this time of year was that they weren't having Spectrtomagic those evernings. But it was worth it to us to not have to wait in long lines for the attractions.
