Great TR! We got into EPCOT early and I think that made the difference for us. Our longest wait time was for Soarin'. We spent the whole day there, but were very fortunate to miss the crowds somehow. I am working on my trip report of that day and will post it later on. Thanks for sharing!

Okay, where was I. . . .

Day 4: (Wednesday)MK again! Today was a sleep in day. So that's just what we did! We were planning on getting to MK around 2 and staying to close. We were bored at the resort by 11:30 and headed out. We thought we'd hop the first bus we saw and take it to the park and then take a bus to another resort to try out their food court for lunch. Well the Epcot bus came first so we thought great that's the closest park anyway, so we got on. When we got to Epcot we decided we would just run in there to the Sunshine Seasons food court for lunch rather than taking another bus ride to another resort. Well what a shocker it was to walk into Epcot and it was SO CROWDED!! I am sorry if you went to Epcot Wednesday!! Must have been an EMH day or something. We could hardly make our way through to get to the Land. Lunch was okay at Sunshine Seasons, nothing great. I saw the wait for Soarin was at 45 minutes. When we were there on Monday we never waited for more that 10 minutes for Soarin, or anything. What a difference. After lunch we thought we better just get out of Epcot. We decided to take the monorail. Rode it to the TTC and got on the resort line monorail. Stopped at the Poly, looked around for JC, but couldn't find her. Stopped at the Grand Floridian briefly. Made our way to MK. It's now around 3:00. I thought great, we'll just take the train to frontierland and ride BTMRR while everyone else is watching the parade. Well we had to sit on the train at the station for like 12 minutes because the parade was going through Frontierland at that time. . . And by the time we got to Frontierland there were people everywhere!! Wait for BTMRR was 40 minutes. So we grabbed a fastpass. Went to the Countrybear Jamboree. Came out and it was nearly time for Woody's Cowboy camp. So we waited for that to come. Then I got chosen to participate in it! I had to wear a giant hat! The kids thought that was hilarious! Then we headed to Pirates. No wait. Came out of there and there was a short line to meet Peter Pan & Wendy. Did that. Went back to use our BTMRR fastpass and now the wait time was down to 15 minures in standby anyway! Took the train to Toontown, rode the Barnstormer twice. Checked out Mickey & Minnie's houses. Went to Tomorrowland. Rode Buzz, SpaceMTn and transit all with no waiting again! Tuesday and Wednesday are definitely the days to go to MK!! DH and DS's rode the Tea Cups, then we went to see if the line for Dumbo was any shorter than the day before, NOPE! Why is that always the longest line in the place??? So we waited and waited. Finally got to ride. Now it's 8:00. So we head to Aloha Isle to get our Dole Whips. DH and I got the pineapple, kids got choc&van twist. All were very good. Ate them as we walked down main street to get a spot at the end for the fireworks. Watched Wishes at 9:00 and then ran out of there and were on the bus to POFQ at 9:22!! Yes, we made excellent time!! So another great day at MK! The only thing about going on Tues & Wed this time of year was that they weren't having Spectrtomagic those evernings. But it was worth it to us to not have to wait in long lines for the attractions.

I tried yesterday to go in to the Disney website to get a quote for what I will hope is our May trip next year, and it wouldn't let me. Have any of you tried doing this? I even tried Jan 1 2008 and nothing.

i'm soo excited! we're now thinking of doing a cruise too, BUT i don't want to get too excited as it's only in the thought process

I just started taking pictures of anything. Accidentally got a shot of a gorillas behind.

We got lots of animal butt pictures. They seemed to be very very proud of their rear ends.

Tasmen and Prince Charming...one cute couple...sitting on the bench (check-in) and you could feel the excitment and anticipation they had about their trip...you guys are so sweet...

Aw thanks :) We were both excited and tired. That red eye flight was a hard one.

We are back home now too. I took today off to help with my PDD (Post Disney Depression). Of course, my main computer decided to go on a vacation of its own while I was gone and now will not power up. I've put on my Scarlett hat for now and will just think about that tomorrow!

I'll start my trip report tomorrow while I'm at work, I think. Who wants to work while at work? Not me!

Hrm...now what to change my ticker to :)

Tas, I have PDD too. Writing my trip report is helping with mine. It is almost like reliving it.

If Jo were here she would say have one of these  .

Have a great night!

Ok, here's the first installment of my trippie (I actually cut and pasted from another Disney board I post on... hope you don't mind!:goodvibes )

Saturday, May 12

Cast: Me- 38, DH-41, DS- 12, DS- 7, turning 8 on the trip, and my DM- turning 60 on the trip

We all got up early this morning (4:00 am to be exact) after getting very little, if any, sleep. Reminds me of the commerical "I'm too excited to sleep"! My DM met us at 5:30 a.m. and we headed to Philadelphia for our 8:55 am flight. No problems at all on Air Tran. Flight left ahead of schedule and actually arrived 1/2 hour early at MCO. After using the potty and getting our bearings, we made it down to the ME line to a sea of people. My first thought was "Uh oh...this isn't going to be magical". The line moved extremely quickly, as there were a ton of CM's there to check people in. It was very well organized. We got checked in, and headed to the "red carpet" for the Pop Century line. We were the 2nd family in line, and in about 10-15 minutes, were ushered to our ME bus. The bus loaded quickly and we were on our way. We had a great driver, who gave us tips on sunscreen, water, etc. and dealing with the Florida heat. He kept telling the parents to enjoy the trip that we worked so hard to provide our children with....he was very kind!!

We arrived at Pop shortly after 1pm I think (I didn't keep track of time once I exited the plane!!)and check-in went smooth as butta... I remembered at that moment that our AAA travel agent did make notes about us wanting to be in the 50's section, non-preferred. That is exactly where they put us. We were in the Tramp section, 4th floor, rooms 3445/3446, facing a courtyard with a slight view of the lake. Excellent location...quiet and super close to both the bowling pin pool and the Hippy Dippy Pool. Our rooms were ready for us, so we meandered outside and soaked in all the very cool sights on our way to our rooms. We unloaded the carry-ons and decided to head to the Magic Kingdom before our ADR at Chef Mickey's.

We got to the MK around 2:15-ish, and walked down to the Main Street bakery for a light lunch. The five of us split 2 CS credits. My DM and my DH split a tomato and mozzarella sandwich, which they said was very good. My DS12 and I split a ham and swiss, which was fine, and my DS8 had a chocolate bundt cake. Yeah, it's vacation. My DM, DS12 and I split the apple charlotte and it was very tasty. We all shared the drinks.

As we finished up lunch inside, we noticed that people were starting to line the street. 3:00 parade time. We walked up a bit and parked ourselves in front of the ice cream shop. My DS8 took turns doing hula hoops with a CM, and we got some castle photos of us from a Photopass Photog. We watched the parade, and then headed to Tomorrowland. We got right into the Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor, which we absolutely loved. They focus the camera on various audience members during the show, but they keep going back to one of them a few times...this one is known as "That Guy"....well, my DH was "that guy"! He was a good sport about it and really honed in on his acting skills from H.S. with all the faces he made! It was funny! (the next day, a guy on the bus recognized him by asking him "weren't you "that guy"??)...

After the show, we headed to Buzz Lightyear. Again, no wait time. DH smoked all of us as usual. We had a little more time to kill, so we did the People Mover (I refuse to call it anything else!) and then it was time to head out to the Contemporary for dinner with Chef Mickey.

We got to the CR with more time to kill, so we looked in the shops. We were surprised to see that some of the shops have closed (or consolidated) and the arcade is now there. DS8 made some pressed pennies, and we went to check in for dinner. We were buzzed quickly and had our photo done. Seated quickly too. Food was good. They had ribs on Saturday night, and they were very good. Parm. potatoes were good as always. Prime Rib was just ok. Desserts weren't as great as last time. Character interaction was fantastic though. They all came around 2 times while we were there. Too bad, no more Chip and Dale. Now Donald circulates (he used to just stay in the lobby). We got to do two rounds of the napkin twirl celebration, and then it was time to leave.

Our tradition for the past several trips has always been to leave Chef Mickeys, ride the monorail loop to the Magic Kingdom, and go in for Wishes. Well, my kids politely asked me if we could skip Wishes and just go back to the Pop and swim. Huh?? Break tradition?? Well, it's their trip too, so we headed to the MK to grab the bus back to Pop and spent the evening in the bowling pin pool. They LOVED it and were just so happy to swim again!(This swimming thing was a trend for the week too)(BTW, our luggage was "magically" in our rooms when we arrived back at Pop after dinner)...

Talked to some nice folks at the pool and gave some Disney advice (they requested!), and then up and off to bed relatively early to get some rest for the next day.

Up next: Day 2...Epcot for Mother's Day and DM's 60th birthday!!

We had a little more time to kill, so we did the People Mover (I refuse to call it anything else!)

Me too! My son tries to correct me, but I just look at him and ask, "Do YOU remember when it opened??? Well then, hush up, it will ALWAYS be the People Mover!"

I still call it People Mover, too...just can't help myself.

I think we're going back in JAN 2008! :goodvibes We had a great time (May 15-19), but MK was crowded the afternoons we were there. I expected the crowd level to be a bit lower...Maybe it was all the kids on field trips during the day that made it seem more crowded.

That's really cool DMM!! I'd love to go back next year, but we need to save money. Hopefully, we can purchase DVC.

that would be awesome!!! we want DVC too, but in the end we just aren't sure about it!! since our family keeps growing!! hahaha!
