MAY 12th-19th!! THESE ARE THE MAYS OF OUR LIVES! Part 3

We go every May.
We always take one pair of pants each & one sweatshirt each.

I distinctly remember last May, after having dinner at Chef Mickey's, we walked out to the parking lot & got our sweatshirts out of the car before going to MK for the fireworks. It was chilly & pretty breezy.

On another evening, we had to leave MK one night & go back to the resort because DS was cold (we'd left his jacket in the room) & we could not find anything for sale in the gift shops except t-shirts.
It was EMH & already 10pm, so we didn't mind going back to the room for the night.

Thank you so much!

Suitcases are all packed!....

MinnieMoo has left the room!...Freezer is stocked...when we get home ...no one is usually in the mood to go shopping...so I stock up on things we can microwave...K.C. doggie has lots of loving care coming her way..:goodvibes...Just a quick cleaning of the house tomorrow and printing off our plane tickets...and it's HELLO WDW!

Do you have a Mayer button??

If so, I'll look for it on Saturday evening at CM.
Your reservation is 6pm, mine is 7:10...but we'll probably check in at the podium around 6:45.

Can't wait!!!

BTW...I've ordered a Mayer button. It should arrive before I leave on Thur. night. I'll have it on my messenger bag. Look for a party of 8 wearing matching Mickey shirts!! (at least 6 of us will be).

Woohoo :woohoo: I'm HERE!

Saturday
Got to SSR around 6:45....After getting an issue with the meal plan straightened out, the CM checking me in let me know that I was in a 1-bedroom villa, even though I'd only booked a studio....YAY! :cool1:

I dropped everything off in my room and headed over to DTD, even though I was really hungry, the line at Earl of Sandwich was mega-long so I decided to walk around a bit before getting in line. Went to Once Upon A Toy and got a Build Your Own My Little Pony....Very cool

After I finished at Once Upon A Toy, I went back to Earl and a much shorter line. I had a "Best BLT" and a Powerade.....If you like BLTs, this is an AWESOME sandwich....The bacon had great flavor and the seasoned mayonnaise they use is also really good...

For desert I went over to Goofy's and got some chocolate covered pretzel rods rolled in peanuts and drizzled with caramel....also yummy.

Came back to find by bags from ME were delivered as well as my gift basket that I had ordered from Sarah. I put away everything and headed off to nighty bye because I had been up for a very long time.

Sunday...So far
Started my morning dealing with a reptilian situation.....There was a SNAKE in my room! I chased him around trying to scoop him up and get rid of him, but he hightailed it into the laundry area and I couldn't find him.

Got to MK right at opening, headed over to Guest Relations to get my AP. Started out at the Mainstreet Bakery for Breakfast and had Apple Charlotte and a Diet Coke....Like most things at the bakery, my Apple Charlotte was great...It's pastry dough, apples and raisins kind of like a cobbler.

Crowds at opening weren't really that bad. I walked right on to Peter Pan, IASW, POC....I also went to the Tiki Room, Hall of Presidents, and PP again in the first couple hours....

Had lunch at Pinocchio's Village Haus...I had the Turkey Bacon Panini, Apple Slices, and Chocolate Cake...The sandwich was OK, but not great. The cake was good though :),

After lunch I rode the TTA and Buzz. Buzz was walk on around 12:30. After Buzz I got a haircut and pixie dust from the Harmony Barbershop on Main Street. Then back to TTA....In case you haven't already figured it out, I'm not a fan of the fast and/or tall rides.....Crowds still weren't that bad at 2:30 when I left MK.

I rode the monorail over to the Contemporary, walked around the gift shops on the fourth floor. The arcade is now on the fourth floor and open. From there I rode over to the GF for afternoon tea. Tea was fun...Finger sandwiches were good, though I didn't care for the Pear and Gorgonzola one. I had the Jade Green Tea which was very light.

After Tea, I headed back to SSR via DTD, while going from DTD back to SSR, a thunderstorm came up, it was pouring cats and dogs with quite a bit of lightning and thunder. Now that leaves us where we are right now....Enjoying a break before dinner in 35 minutes.....

Question:

We have never been in May before; do we need to pack a couple of pairs of jeans or a sweater for night time? I know days are hot, but what about night time?

I packed everyone a pair of pants (i have a pair of capris) and a sweatshirt type of thing (DH & I have long sleeve shirts instead).

We do this every time we go, no matter what the month just in case :)

Does anyone happen to remember what pages the pics of everyone is on?

I can't seem to find them.

:music: backpack backpack backpack backpack...
:music:

i'm the backpack loaded up with things and knicknacks too, anything that you might need i've got inside for you.....

I hadn't planned on doing the lime green focker thing, but I may just go ahead and do it now :)

I'm also excited about the portable dvd player I got today -- 9" screen, 12 hour rechargeable battery and movable screen. Yay for electronics.
