Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!! If you are traveling at all this weekend be safe!:thumbsup2

Oh my gosh, I am stuffed...no pun intended.:)

I cooked so much I think we will have food for a month. And it was just us here this year!

Hope everyone's day was great!

Jo

We had a huge Thanksgiving spread with lots of desserts too. I am so full I think I am going to pop! Anyway, my parents finally told my kids and their cousins about the cruise trip to Mexico that they are taking us on in March. That is like 4 months away - yikes!

My son is going to go and see Enchanted tomorrow. And I am going up to the outlet malls tonight with my sister and brother-in-law for some midnight shopping, then hit all the stores at 4, 5 and 6 am openings. Maybe I will take some video of this madness.

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.

Great Pics Seacrest.... Loved them.... Good luck today with your shopping. I hope everyone had a GREAT thanksgiving... as for me I AM STUFFED... we ate at my mothers house and then we went to DH house and ate some more. And I bought home so many left overs. WOW i'm going to have turkey and Ham coming out of my ears.... i hope everyone enjoys their day.

Good morning MAYers!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! :goodvibes

We had a nice big dinner at my Dad's. I got up at 3:00 Friday morning to go shopping! :scared1: The outlets weren't too bad. WalMart was crazy right at the opening of their sale at 5:00! But I got some great bargains!! :yay:

After all my shopping we put up the tree and all of our decorations last night! :santa: As I was decorating the house I was thinking about my MAYer friends and how much fun it would be if we all posted pictures of our Christmas tree & decorations!! What do you think???

It is cold out but the sun is shining and we aren't supposed to get any rain or snow, so we are thinking about going into the city tonight to see the lights & decorations since we missed light up night because it was so nasty out!

Have a great weekend everyone!

So at 10:30 Thursday night my sister and brother-in-law and I drove up to Camarillo Outlet Malls. We got up there in about a hour and drove through Jack in the Box for some food before we hit the Malls. Whe we arrived to the street of the Malls, there was a line of cars about a 1/2 mile long to get into the parking lot. It was jammed. Found a space in the back portion of the malls which was about 2 blocks away. There were lines outside of Uggs, Levis, Gap, Izod, and Banana Republic stores. They would let people in when people would leave. Some lines had 50 people, some had a 100 or more. The Coach store, had maybe 1000 people or more. Yes, I am not lying, I took video of this insanity. The police were called to the Uggs store because a fight broke out. We stayed there for about 3 hours. Did a little shopping at Geoffry Bean and Eddie Bauer. We drove over to Oxnard and there were lines at Walmart and Best Buy. There must have been at least 300 people at each location at 3:00 a.m. some even in tents.

We decided to drive back to Santa Monica and we went to Denny's to eat again. About 4:30 we went over to Staples and drop off my bil to wait in line there. My sister and I drove over to Sears and got DVD camcorder and did some looking around since it wasn't crowded or crazy. We went back over to Staples and got in at 6:00 a.m. They had donuts for us! I picked up a 4 gig memory card and cordless phones for my mil. I don't know what my sister got..I was too tired to care. We then drove up to Long's Drugs store and got those Bluetooth phone adapters for some people and decided it was time to go home. Walked in a little after 7. My wife was already up and so was my son. I went right to bed and slept for about 4 hours.

After I woke up. I took a shower and we went over to The Grove and had a late lunch/dinner at Wood Ranch BBQ. It was so good! Earlier that day my son had seen Enchanted with grandma so he was telling us about it. I had to tell him to stop so he wouldn't ruin for us. LOL. After lunch we did some window shopping at the Grove but didn't buy much. The place was really deocrated nice for the holidays. And their Christmas tree is huge.

I was still tired so we drove back home, but stopped off at 31 flavors for ice cream! Got home and crashed. I won't ever shop at midnight or stand in line for hours for anything again in my life!

Today, Saturday, I got up at 11:40 a.m. I was totally beat. We had lunch in Westwood today at Acapulco - mexican food! Sadly the air quality was really bad today because of another fire in Malibu. You could really smell the smoke and see the ash in the air. After lunch went to see Enchanted. Since we had to wait a bit, my son and I went over to Cold Stone and got rocky road with gummy bears. Now that is indulging! My wife thought we were a bit crazy but liked the combination. Enchanted is a good movie, I especially liked the fish scene - that is all I will say, you will have to see the movie to find out what it is all about.

Anyways that is my black Friday and Saturday story.

That is a neat idea. I don't think we will have our Christmas tree for another 2 weeks or so. I can't believe you have yours up already!

Good morning MAYers!

Hello MAYers…Thanksgiving was wonderful…lots of good food…lots of family…lots of fun…:cool1:
BUT!...Oh! Yes!…there is a but!...late last week we received news
about our area that made us re-think about living here…lets me explain…we live by one of California’s freeway…and there will be some MAJOR work on said freeway that will impact our house and lives…so…we will be selling our house and moving on after the holidays…the market is (well…down) and we know it may take some time to sell…but…(OH, the buts) onward and upward…
We have lived in this house for 22 years Yikes! And we need to get a few things done on the house to get it on the market…and with this news…I will let you know we have canceled our trip for next May..Yes! We have!…we will be sad not to get to meet-up with the MAYers…but don’t despair…Disney is not all lost…we plan on a trip to Disneyland when we settle down again…So what a whirlwind Thanksgiving we have had…and we will keep you posted as too our progress in moving…

Hello MAYers!

Sorry to hear about your news JC! We will miss you in MAY! But you gotta do what you gotta do. Good luck with everything. Do you plan to move very far?

Sounds like quite a day (or two) of shopping you had Seacrest! Any plans for MAY for you yet???

What's up JO?

Mella - I'm jealous, I wanted to see Enchanted this weekend, but couldn't get anyone else interested in going with me. . . That's the bummer about living with all boys!! :lmao: Oh well, I'll wait until it's on DVD and I'll put them all to bed and watch it myself! :yay: We did rent Air Buddy and Premonition this week and they were both very good movies.

Hey Shelly!

I got my tree and house decorated! You know how it is when you move to a new place...
you don't know where things will go that you already have in your possession. So the only thing we bought this year were two pre-lit trees in urns for the front porch.
Oh and the Christmas tree that we looked for for 5 hours.
In the snow.
The kids finally started crying and saying they wanted to go home, that they didn't even care what the tree looked like.:rolleyes1 So we brought them home and went out again without them.:)

I pared down on the inside of the house. I just don't feel like having to take EVERYTHING down after we get back from SC. It's always such the pain.

Anyway, the kids all have colds, so we didn't go anywhere today.

Jo

Hey Jo - Sorry the kids are sick. That stinks! :sad2: How's school going?

We were in your area last night. We went to Pittsburgh but stopped at Max & Erma's for dinner first. It was a fun night!

I have scaled back on the decorations a bit myself. I love putting them up, but the day after Christmas I just want them all down & put away!

School is great, now that the school board voted to give the kids a Holiday! They are getting the week of Christmas off, so no going on Christmas Eve or NY Eve! Which is great for now, but means they have to go another week at the end of school to make it up.

How was PGH last night? We were inside, watching the football games.;)

Our quarterback for Florida, Tim Tebow, is up for the Heisman trophy and guess what I got Drew for Christmas???????

A football autographed by Tim Tebow! For real! I got it this week! I was so excited!

He asked for one on his wish list and Mary Cat said "Santa can't get something like that!" So he thinks he isn't getting one!
I can't wait to see his reaction!

JO

Glad to hear the kids will be getting a Christmas vacation! :santa: Sounds like an awesome gift you got your little boy. He will be so surprised!! :cool1:

Looks like they are messing with the MAY hours already at Disney! More 7:00 closings at MK. What's that about??? Some people think it is going to be more Pirates & Princess parties. . . There are hardly any nights they are going to have Spectromagic now. . . :sad2:
