I'm in the same boat as you for hair, I cut mine off from being halfway down my back to a chin-length very layered bob. I find that either bobby pins or clips to pin back the front really help keep things in check. I'm considering cutting the rest off into a pixie-ish cut, but haven't made up my mind on that yet.

I was thinking bobby pins would do the trick! Thanks for the tip :goodvibes

Space Ship Earth is being re-modeled!

Epcot's 'Spaceship Earth' to Feature Re-Imagined Time-Travel Adventure
and New Finale Presented by Siemens

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (April 11, 2007) -- Inside the Epcot icon, remarkable changes will be taking place over the next several months. A re-imagined Spaceship Earth presented by Siemens will combine the magic of the iconic attraction's time-travel adventure into the past with a new finale which provides guests the opportunity to imagine their futures.

On a trip through time inside the Spaceship Earth attraction, guests discover how each generation of mankind has invented the future for the next generation, and how the spirit of innovation has moved people from the caves to the cosmos.

Enhancements to the time-travel attraction will encompass changes to each of the ride scenes. New show scenes will be added to the attraction's story along with new lighting effects, costumes, set decoration, narration and musical score.

This adventure through time leads ultimately to the very top of Spaceship Earth's geodesic dome, where guests arrive at the present. The time travel adventure will be enhanced through new, interactive touch screens installed aboard each "time machine" that will enable guests to create their own visions of the future and see themselves in that future.

As guests disembark the time travel experience, they are invited to visit "Project Tomorrow: Inventing the World of Tomorrow," where interactive exhibits bring to life the ideas and technologies Siemens is developing to help make the world a better place for the future.

The space is filled with fun, interactive games and displays that showcase innovative technologies. Here guests step into the world of tomorrow and glimpse the future of medicine, transportation and responsible energy management across the globe.

Opening to Epcot guests later this month, the first completed phases of Project Tomorrow will include:

--An illuminated globe measuring 20 feet in diameter that will offer an ever-changing collage of inspirational images that invite guests to imagine the wonders of tomorrow.
--Body Builder, a 3-D game that enables users to assemble a digital human body, simulating the Siemens technology developed to perform remote surgeries.
--Super Driver, a driving simulation video game that showcases motor vehicle accident and avoidance systems developed by Siemens.

With phased renovations occurring through the year, Spaceship Earth's makeover is scheduled to be fully completed in early 2008.

Contemporary Resort
The North Garden wing is being demolished. The tennis courts and playground are also gone. Rumors swirl of a Disney Vacation Club Resort however no official announcement has been made.

Yacht and Beach Club Marina

The Breathless, the ChrisCraft reproduction run-about that used to be docked at the Yacht Club marina and was used for IlllumiNations and other specialty cruises, is no longer sitting in its lift. It had been out of commission for several months, awaiting a refurbishment. We hear now that the boat will not be returning, nor will it be replaced. It appears as though this special type of boat experience will no longer be offered.

Walt Disney World Swan Resort

Gulliver's Grill Character Dinner will be closed for refurbishment from April 16 - June 7, 2007. During this time, Fresh (in the Dolphin) will host the Character Buffet dinner.

:worship:
Kristina - you are the queen of personals!
You too katieBell!

:rotfl2: Well thanks Elly! Actually, I just don't get on as often now that I'm back to work half time, so when I come on there are pages and pages to read -- I just start hitting the "multiquote" button and by the time I get to the end of the thread...there are a bunch to reply to!

No Mother's Day Brunch for us :( We get in to Orlando 9:45 am, and hope to check in to the Pop by noon, and get to AK by 1:00 pm -- hope I'm being realistic with the times, there. But, I do get to go to Boma for dinner on Mother's Day, and then MK has EMH late that night! :hyper: Hopefully we will get some sleep on the plane...

I'm also bummed we are missing Le Cellier. When I first made my ADR's, it was going to be closed the whole week we'd be there. Now I see the refurb is only for a few days, but trying to get in there on the 18th would be ridiculous at this point. Besides we have an ADR for Rose and Crown at 7:50 and are hoping for a good view of Illuminations. :magnify: :sail: So, it wasn't meant to be. Next trip, though! ::yes::

Decided to use DD's computer so I can see  actually dance!

Hoping to see Lost tonight. We may DVR it and watch it tomorrow. We really love the DVR. It is so hard for us to sit thru commercials. We love to watch the show in 45 minutes. We are so spoiled.

We are not going to the brunch. I do have Le Cellier for that day. It is a very late ADR. I made the ressie months ago for the only time available. I am not sure we can wait til 8:30 pm to eat! :scared1:

Have a great night Mayers!

My 20 year reunion will be coming up in two years. I am hoping to get nipped, tucked, pushed, pulled for the happy occasion.:goodvibes

Boy, for the down payment I'd have to put on the new house, I could be Spanx-less for life!;)

Jo... who's not afraid of going under the knife for the sake of beauty.

I had my 20- ahem- a year ago...I didn't go though...there wasn't anyone I really wanted to see. (although, I did graduate from high school with Daniel Kim, who is the Korean guy on Lost. If I had known for sure he'd be there, I would have gone. But he didn't show up either)

Speaking of Spanx, have you tried Assets from Target? I believe they are made by the same company as Spanx, but they are under the Assets name at Target. I've purchased the full length hose and they rock!

And Jo, I wouldn't mind a little nip and tuck myself! I'd love to shrink my behind!!
