Mornin to all my MAYer buds.

NC--- I am so jealous- The Eagles!!!!! Why didn't you tell us before now??? How cool. Who'd you go with? How's the house situation??

Mari- I have never been to Ikea. I've heard that it is neat though.

KB--- oh my, has the hysteria set in yet???? I hope your trip is magical. And I hope that you enjoy yourselves more this trip than last.

RF- yes, definitely-- another animal thrown into that situation might not be appreciated, LOL.

Shelly- hey you--- thanks for all of the neat info on CBR. It was such a tough decision, I was all torn up about what to do. But I've made my decision, and I'm at peace with it....


We're going to CBR.

I just couldn't say no to the savings. All together, I saved $1336.50 off of rack rate. Unbellievable.

Mark was really not much help- he pretty much said - well, we can pay the $ for POFQ-- we were going to anyway- or we can stay at CBR- either way- you decide and I'll be happy. Grrrrr.
So I made him look at the pics last night and he said he thought CBR looked good. So I called at 9 PM Eastern to CRO and got the most awesome CM. She tried every which way to apply my code to POFQ. Then she even called guest services to look to see if they could find another pincode that would save me as much as the new code I had. Nothing worked, the only pincode they came up with was the first one.
Sooooo--- we ended up doing CBR and by then it was ten o'clock- CRO closes then and she stayed until 10:30 doing my stuff with me on the phone. I was very happy with her.

I requeested Jamaica or Aruba, Top floor, one room being a corner room.

We also got MNSSHP tix for Sunday 10/26. That is a surprise for the kids- I've told them that we won't be going there b/c it costs too much for one night- but that they can trick or treat in DTD. heh heh heh.



I'm going to go look at the resort now... thanks for everyone's input. You all helped me save money!!

THERE IS SO MUCH LEFT TO DO, AND I STILL HAVE TO WORK TODAY AND TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK...I was so stressed out a little while ago, but things are all better now...I had a near disaster with our Garden Grocer order. The website says only 24 hour advance notice, so stupid me, I took that literally and didn't rush to place my order. This letter I wrote to the Customer Service Manager explains the rest:

I just need to let you know about an excellent customer service experience I had this morning.

I was really, really disappointed and frustrated -- we ordered last year, I even ordered for my sister's family, and we had NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER. This year, I went to order and your website requests 24 hour advance notice. We arrive 9/19, and today is 9/17 -- I went online to order and it says no deliveries are available 9/18, 9/19, or 9/20, and when I tried to schedule delivery, it wouldn't accept 9/21 either!!! I called and spoke to customer service, and I wasn't happy...in fact, I was pretty darn cranky (it's only 6:30 am here, and my husband has asked me twice this week if I'd made the grocery order, and I told him, "No problem, it only requires a 24 hour advance notice.")

Now just to explain, for medical reasons, we have to have bottled water.*** So I figured I would have to buy it at the food court and pay a ridiculous amount for it the first few days. Or try to figure out how to cram some of it into my suitcase and hope it doesn't explode at 40,000 feet and soak everything in there. The second issue was coffee -- not for medical reasons, but if my dear husband doesn't have real coffee in the morning, he turns into the Beast. So I was imagining the headlines -- "Wife Didn't Make Garden Grocer Order In Time -- Husband Couldn't Wait Until Monday Night For Coffee, Goes Beserk". OK, great, I'll just pack some coffee in with the water -- maybe I'll skip bringing clothes and just buy new clothes in Florida... Then the website was glitchy and I couldn't finish the order, so I called back again (not sure if I was talking to the same customer service rep each time, they were all nice and apologetic, LOL). I was told they could make the delivery Monday night, so great, we will have groceries on Tuesday the 23rd. Lovely. When I hung up, it was very clear I was stressed out and upset...I believe I used the phrase, "This is a disaster!"

A couple of minutes later, my cell phone rang...WHO is calling me at 6:30 am??? Lo and behold, it was J*, from your customer service. She told me that after reviewing my order, it wasn't too big (it's just the two of us), and that she could squeeze a delivery in Saturday night. YAY J*!!! You just saved my butt from getting chewed off by my husband who told me to order earlier, LOL!!! She really did go above and beyond, because she could have just thought to herself, "OMG, that lady was ridiculously crabby!" and moved on to her next customer. So thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. =)

It would be really helpful if on your website it didn't just say 24 hour advance notice...maybe mentioned that sometimes the weekends book up, or one week advance notice is better, something like that. Might keep your nice customer service reps from having to deal with as many people freaking out on the phone (I used to work in a call center, believe me, I know).

For my part...I post on several Disney boards -- that's how I found out about your service in the first place -- I will try to get the word out there to folks to call at least a week or two in advance to make their grocery orders.

Just got back from Ikea... i was supposed to go for curtains for my living room and i ended up getting a computer desk and chair for my DSS room. His is broken. And i did not get my curtains i didn't like any of the ones they have there....

Yep, still at M:S....probably will stay there til at least June, if not longer, still trying to figure all that out. Though I might see about cross-training at some of the other FW East attractions like TT or SE....

Question for ya-
is there anywhere at the parks where I can buy some of that Mickey Mouse Pixie dust- you know the confetti with Mickey heads?

I wanted to get some for the kids "Tinkerbelle" gifts every morning, to sprinkel around the presents.

Are you planning on going to a MNSSHP this year? Are you dressing up? Just wondering if I want to dress or not.

I bought tix last night for the 26th. Do you think a Sunday night will be better than a Tuesday? I think they will all sell out, but i'm hoping it's not too crowded on Sunday.

They gave us a little ziploc bag full of it at Crystal Palace on our anniversary! I don't think I've ever seen it for sale anywhere.

Did you find a costume to wear yet???????

I bought M Cat an Alice in Wonderland costume- it's an adults size- I got it at Wal Mart- the kids will be waking up the Morning of MNSSHP to find their tickets to the party and the costumes hanging on their door. I can't wait.
Still not sure what Drew will wear- I MIGHT go back and get the Queen of Hearts costume I found for myself- but i'm worried it will be hot with a crinoline and velvet. Mark isn't dressing up- he said he'll wear his Gator jersey but that's it. He's no fun at all.
