Morning all...

RF - Sorry to hear about your troubles over at POR. Next time I go i'm staying in CBR again. I would like to try thier new pool. Plus I LOVED that resort. That is home base for me. The buses were great and food was good.

Huggie - the weather will be perfect. I know what you mean about going crazy for parties. My DD bday party is the 14th and my DSis babyshower is the 22nd. can't a girl get a break!!!!!

thanks mari - i was angry for a little while, but i had time to get over everything... i think i am going to either go back to CBR or try one of the value resorts next trip

::yes:: Me too! Exactly!! CBR is the BEST!!! :lovestruc Love that place. I think if we go in hot weather again we will go to CBR so we can take advantage of the new pool. If we end up going in Jan or Feb we will do a Value. So we'll see. . . . .

Update to my "issues":

Got the monorail yesterday in the mail. It is being played with as we speak. I am a little disappointed with it. The quality of it is kind of junky. :( For $70 I expected it to be better made. It looks great, the details are great, it looks just like a real WDW monorail. Just the doors fall off when you open them and things like that, not very sturdy. Oh well, it's here and the kids are enjoying it.

Supposed to be getting DS's Mickey's Personal Disney Assistant toy soon.

As for SW, well they are very crappy! I guess you get what you pay for. They say that they are not liable for a broken off handle at all (even if we had reported it right away) :confused3 What the ---- ???? Why not? And they aren't going to do anything about the ripped apart luggage because we didn't report it soon enough. If we would like to dispute it we can send them a receipt showing how much the luggage costs (yeah like I have that on hand) and any other information I would like considered relating to the "alleged" mishandling. . . . :furious:

yeah i like CBR the best.

Shelly - GREAT pics.... sorry about the bad service in cape may but i'm glad you got a little surprise at CP.

Oh god.... considereing how the economy is they would want people happy with them so that they will fly them again. But i guess they don't care. When we go in Dec with my family i think we are driving from NJ. the airline tickets come out to 458 EACH.... that is way too much. we won't spend nearly as much on driving down especially if we share costs among the people driving.

Hey Shelly! I have that same t-shirt your husband has on. He has excellent tastes!

I'm going to have to try CP the next time we go to WDW. It sounds like it is a great place.

:rotfl: He got that shirt before last year's trip at TDS. He proudly displays his Grumpy shirt!! As you can see it has faded a lot!

Yes, you really should try CP on your next WDW trip! :goodvibes It's always a good experience!

I have had my monorail for about 8 years now and it is has held up ok. Like you said, it is not the best quality. Maybe some day they will come out with a tin-toy type again.

I was at a toy fair a few years ago in Glendale and almost bought one of the Shuco DL monorail sets they made about 40 years ago. I kick myself because I could have had a pristine set for about $250.00.

Too bad SW won't step up to the plate and at least send you a voucher or gift certificate.

mornin.

Well, Shelly, that stinks about your probs with SW. I am so surprised- they could have at least offered SOMEthing for the issue. Good grief.
Your Tr was great. cute pics.
I was up in your neck of the woods yesterday! Mom and i got onto 19 and just drove north all the way up to GC then got on the interstate and drove back down. We hit all of the antique shops along the way. It was a wonderful day. We thought downtown GC was so cute. We went to a shop on Broad.

Huggie- Happy belated Anniversary! I hope that the B-day party is good. Happy Bday to the Princess!

JC- um, yeah, you always were quite the dancin gal!

RF- I hope your trip ended up being ok after all of the crap you had going on. I wonder if the housekeeper got fired????????????????

NC- how's AR????????? heh heh heh heh heh.

Mari- Your DD looked ADORABLE in her Tink outfit. Does she love it???????
I can't wait to give Belle hers. The other day, she was all sad, saying she wanted one so bad (she won't get hers until we are down in October- Tinkerbelle gift-) and so she laid down on the floor crying about it (she was tired) and so I told her that maybe Tink would bring it to her when we're there. But she said that she wouldn't, she just knew it, that she'd never get it, blah blah. So I said she needed to make a wish during Wishes! and so her face brightened up and she made me go to the computer where I have all of my Disney music downloaded and made me play Wishes so she could "wish" for the outfit. It was so sweet. So um, yeah, I think she will be getting it the morning we leave. :lovestruc I just can't wait.

So Tuesday morning my washing machine filled with water, turned itself off and committed sewercide. It's fried, and it's only 5 years old.:furious: AND we've had it fixed twice already! It' going to be $450 to fix. :scared1:

Bomp that! I bought a new one.:smokin: It will be delivered today. I got a Whirlpool front loader. Mark took me in and said pick one out. So here we sit, waiting for the delivery dudes.

Hope everyone is doing good.

Morning all -

Jo - sorry about your recent Loss.... hope the new one is better... Oh you see i'm a pushover. If i were you and i saw my DD like that i probably would have given it to her. I'm not very good with keeping surprises.

MORNING EVERYONE!!!:cutie:

I LOOOVE THE LITTLE PRINCESS COSTUMES ON LITTLE GIRLS IN WDW ... IT MELTS MY HEART :lovestruc ... I THINK THEY ARE TOOO CUTE!

JO - WE DON'T REALLY THINK THAT IT WAS ON PURPOSE (THE CAMERA CHARGER GONE MISSING) ... AT LEAST I HOPE NOT... I AM PRETTY NAIVE ABOUT STUFF LIKE THAT.... I ALWAYS WANT TO BELIEVE THE GOOD IN PEOPLE, YA KNOW?? :goodvibes

WE THINK IT MAY HAVE BEEN PICKED UP IN OUR BED LINENS WHEN THEY CHANGED THEM ... :confused3 WE HAVE A PRETTY BAD HABIT (EVEN AT HOME) OF THROWING STUFF ON OUR BED WHEN WE'RE DONE WITH IT - SO I AM THINKING THAT HE UNPLUGGED IT - THREW IT ON THE MATTRESS - THEN PUT THE BATTERY IN THE CAMERA .... BUT WHO KNOWS??

ANYWAYS - THE TRIP WAS STILL AMAZING!!! I AM JUST TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TIME OF YEAR TO GO NEXT YEAR ... I DON'T KNOW ABOUT MAY ... WE'RE THINKING MORE OF THE VALUE SEASON NEXT YEAR ... IT'S JUST A MATTER OF WHEN...

HEY DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY KNOWLEDGE ON THE "FREE DINING" IN SEPT??? I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT INCLUDES ...

MORNING EVERYONE!!!

HEY DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY KNOWLEDGE ON THE "FREE DINING" IN SEPT??? I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT INCLUDES ...

It is the basic dining plan, but FREE! You get one TS, one CS, and one Snack per person per day.

Just remember - September will probably be hotter than May was!! If that is possible! :lmao:

Hey, you should have stopped by! How do you like our little town?!? Which shop did you go to on Broad Street? Did you go out to Wendell August Forge? It's a big tourist attraction around here. Very nice place.

Awwwww, by the time we finally got to downtown GC, it was already 4 pm and the kids were getting home from school, so we had to run home quick. There were too many shops along the way. I don't know the name of the one we stopped at, but we loved GC!!! Very cute town. WE stopped by the Sheetz and got coffee, b/c we were needing a pick me up and couldn't find a coffee shop. On the way into town, we stopped at a place called Rachel's. Do you know where that is? It was very good. The same people own the Log Cabin down this way on 19 and they own the Springfield Grill in seven Fields.

I've never heard of that Wendall forge thing. I'll look it up!:surfweb:

I do want to come back this summer for a day at the outlet. We'll do lunch.:)

Mornin Sea! How's Cali!!!!???????

Hey thanks for the link to that house in HB. Ha ha. Too bad it's already under contract. I had my 20% downpayment check ready to go.:rotfl2:

If we were to move to CA, it would have to be in the San Fran area. :faint: I have always felt a pull to that town. Very strange, but always felt it, even as a child. I've had a vision in my head since i was little of a street corner- that I just know is in SF. Never seen a pic of it. I just know it's there. Weird. If I believed in past lives, I would swear I lived there before. I probably was a laundress or something way way back. :lmao: That's why I have to do 3 loads a day, even now. HAHAHAHAHAHA

WEll, at least now I have a new washing machine, humming right along.

How's business???

Jo

SoCal is great. Last night we went down to the pier to look at the new ferris wheel after hearing about it being open again on TV. WOW! It is quite impressive. I took some video of it and will post it tonight.

Business is good and getting better. Following up on about 130 leads from last weeks conference. Hopefully I will convert a few of them into long term clients.

SF is a beautiful area. Get's cold, foggy and rainy a lot up there though. Love the cable cars, the Golden Gate bridge, etc. Lots of things to see and do there. But, I wouldn't want to live there. Traffic and parking is a nightmare. My cousin and his wife live there and they don't own a car anymore...it wasn't worth the hassles.

You need warmer and nicer areas: Orange County, San Diego County. Santa Barbara County, Los Angeles County. From LA, Orange or SD you can get to the beach in the morning, and in the afternoon be in the mountains or in the desert. There is much more to do in Southern California area than Northern California. Even Arnold commutes everyday from SM Airport to Sacramento, then back to SM! :rotfl2:

Congrats on the new washing machine!
