Oh I don't know. . . Guess I haven't been to Ross Park in awhile. . . Never get to Century III or Robinson. . . . At least S Hills is staying open. Although it's completely south of the city and I live north of the city! It's easy to get to though.

Thanks for the info!

Busy Busy here. . . These last few weeks of school are so hectic. So much going on. . . I'll be glad when school is out next Friday!

RF - Here's the thread I started about the All Stars transportation. . . I've gotten good and bad stories. . .
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1838293

I think bad bus service can happen at any resort at any time of the year. :confused3 I really think it's all up to luck. I don't think it will ever be good at POR because of sharing with POFQ and stopping there first. I've even heard that the shared buses from the Poly & GF can be bad.

But for the most part I think that most of them are alright.

i am soooo excited - i got some really cute clothes last night and spent too much money ... no wonder i can't afford real estate.... i like my money where i can see it - hanging in my closet :rotfl:

hey- sorry to leave you all hanging.

The emails are flying around here fast and furious.

It seems that DH's co. is interested in moving him to another state. They asked for his resume this morning and his boss, a VP and HR have all okayed the process, so it's crazy. I don't want to say what state yet, as there are "eyes everywhere", LOL, but it's a place our fam has been before.;) And no, it's NOT SC... (i wish.) We've only been in this house 9 months...*sigh*.

Anyway- as soon as something definite happens, you'll all be in the know.::yes::

Day 7 - Friday May 16:

Today we went back to DHS. Our biggest goal was for the boys to get picked for the Jedi Training Academy. We had already done RNRC and TOT on Sunday night, so we were focused on Star Wars stuff today! So we get to DHS before 8:30 and get in line. I was thinking about NC and her family and their special day they had at DHS. No such luck for us! We got let in and they did the opening show, but the family was just a young couple that I referred to as "Ken & Barbie"! They got the shout - Hollywood Here We Come! The crowd followed them to RNRC & TOT, while we headed towards Star Tours. We found the stage where they do the Jedi Training Academy (JTA) and we knew that the first show was at 9:55. No one was there so we decided to go ahead and ride Star Tours and then come back. When we came back there still wasn't anyone there. So we walked around and took some pictures outside of Star Tours and then went over to the Streets of America. Around 9:25 we went back to the JTA stage and there was one family waiting. So we go and get our spot in the front row. Pretty soon tons of families came pouring in. We stand there for what seems like an eternity. . . Keep in mind we are pushing 90 degrees already and it's only 9:30 in the morning and this show is right out in the open sun. Finally a CM comes out and gets the kids all fired up and tells them to yell - PICK ME when the Jedi Master comes out! When he came out there were hundreds of screaming kids yelling PICK ME PICK ME!!!!! He starts to pick. He picks about 4 kids, then a couple more, then finally he looks in our direction and points to DS9 and says - you in the red shirt. DS goes running up on stage!! :woohoo: DS6 is still yelling PICK ME, but nope, he doesn't get picked. I felt SO bad for him. But he really handled it well. Probably better than DS9 would have handled it if it had been the other way around. The JTA was awesome! It was a dream come true for DS9. He got trained to be a Jedi and then got to battle Darth Vader.

After the JTA we walked around the Streets a bit and figured we had time for about one ride before our lunch ADR at Sci-Fi. So we headed for the Backlot Tour. We round the corner to go into the entrance and a CM greets us. He says he needs one more adult male to be in the show!! DH is like - I don't know. . . The kids and I are like - He'd love to do it!! Meanwhile I know exactly what is going to happen to him, I've seen this before! They direct the kids and I through a special entrance and to the front row center to watch the show. There was a man and woman already there and they are going to be the people on the boat while DH is the guy in the chair that gets all the water dumped on him!! The guy who hates water and can't swim!! It was pretty hilarious!

After that we went to Sci-Fi for our 11:25 ADR. We were a bit early but they seated us right away. The kids loved this place! They got to be the "drivers" and DH and I were in the middle seat and about half way through the meal we got some "hitch hickers" in the back seat. What a neat place! The milkshakes were great and the service was great, The food was good too. DH and I got grilled chicken sandwiches and DS9 had a burger and DS6 had a hot dog. It was very dark in there, but it has to be to set the atmosphere. We will definitely be going back there!

After lunch we went to the Playhouse Disney show. The kids are kind of big for this, but DS6 still kind of likes MM Clubhouse so we went anyway. It was okay. Then I took DS6 into a store and bought him a special little Minnie present since he didn't get to do the JTA. He wouldn't let DS9 see it all day and it was driving DS9 crazy!! :rotfl: After that we headed for the Lights, Motors, Action stunt show. They were only showing it 2 times that day and we had never seen it before. We got in and got our seat and then they just kept jamming people in. It was very hot and crowded. But the boys (all 3 of them!) really enjoyed this show. Then we went and got some frozen lemonades and sat in the shade for a bit. It must have been close to 95 degrees that day. After that we walked over to RNRC to see how long the wait was and it was nearly an hour so we passed seeing that we rode it a bunch of times earlier in the week. It was nearing time for the new Pixar parade to start but none of us were really interested since it was SO HOT. We took the bus back to CSR for a rest.

Didn't do much for the rest of the day. Just went back to DTD to finish our shopping. Went to Earl of Sandwich for dinner. We didn't really care for it. My sandwich (that was supposed to be hot) was cold and DS's PB&J sandwich was warm. Gross! Went to Goofy's Candy Co because we had 21 snack credits left at this point, bought a bunch of candy to bring home from there and called it a night.

RF - Do you have a Chase Disney Visa??? Last October there was an offer that came out for Disney Visa cardholders that gave a room discount and free upgrades on tickets and the dates were for Jan and Feb. So that's what I'm thinking. If I get that offer again we will be thinking about the end of Jan or beginning of Feb!

I'd like to try November, but I'm like you - Nov 2009 is WAY TOO FAR AWAY!!

YES - I DO HAVE A CHASE DISNEY VISA! THAT'S PRETTY EXCITING!! I KNOW THAT THERE ARE DEALS TO LOOK FORWARD TO ALL THE TIME... SO I'M LUCKY FOR THAT - AND IT'S NICE TO HAVE 1 RECENT TRIP.. SO, WHEN I AM PLANNING - EVERYTHING WILL BE A LITTLE EASIER THIS TIME AROUND :thumbsup2

JO! YOU'RE LEAVING THE 412/724!!! :(
WE DIDN'T EVEN GET A MEET UP... THAT'S WHY I DIDN'T STRESS DOWN THERE - I KNEW IF WE WANTED ME, YOU AND SHELLY WERE ALL WITHIN EARSHOT OF ONE ANOTHER :worried: :worried: :worried:

SO YOU DEFINATELY ARE LEAVING?? ...

Yes, I am going to try to wait it out RF and see if that deal comes out this year. I found my notebook and I have it all written out. . . The offer came on Oct. 30 2007 and it was good for Jan 2 - March 15 2008. The offer was $385 for adults and $192 for kids for 5 nights at a Value resort with 6 day park hopper tickets. :cool1: I didn't do it because we were already booked for May and we wanted a moderate resort and it was our 10th anniversary in May, plus DH didn't think he wanted to go in January (afraid it will be a blizzard when we leave here, or when we get back , or BOTH!). NOW he says - you were right we should go in January, May is too hot! :rotfl:

I think January/February would be the perfect time to try out a Value. The Value pools aren't that great, but it might not be warm enough to swim anyway. Their bus stops aren't shaded, but it won't be so stinking hot anyway, things like that.

In the meantime. . . Sulley - how was the weather and crowds in January??? I know it starts to get real busy toward the middle of Feb and throughout March with Spring-breakers. . .
