may 12, 2012 7 Night Western on the Fantasy

This is good, I really need to start finalizing plans for the gifts and if we make the official split on April 1, I'll have a better idea of what I can bring. I've been grabbing stuff as I see it in the stores and it's a good thing we are driving!

Hey, Appleguy, I don't want you to have to give out extremely personal info but I was wondering if I could get a ballpark age for Alyssa, Ashley and Andrew. At first I assumed they were all your kids and were little (ish). Then I think I read that Andrew just graduated from college. Or do I have that mixed up? I don't want to bring coloring books for young adults. :rotfl:

Alyssa , Ashley, and Andrew are all in their 20's. All young adults but when Dad says " Mom and I are going on a Disney cruise", they are always ready to go. We have all had great experiences on Disney cruises, especially the 11 night Med in 2010

We got our room assignment! We will be in room 8518, so you can add that to our name. Getting really excited!

That is awesome were you a restricted or normal gty? I am a 6Bgty So hoping mine is coming soon.

So what is everyone doing.

We booked this cruise 2 weeks ago and airfare has been SO high since, but I need to just bite the bullet and book the airfare tomorrow.

I wanted to just take the early 6am flight out of RI on the day of cruise, but that rate is SO high right now. So...

looks like we will take the 5pm Friday night flight and stay over at the Clarion on Merritt Island I got a AAA rate for $80. They charge 7.50 for shuttle to port.

I found r/t transfers for $270 for the 7 of us including tip.

I can't believe how stressful it is to find hotels and transfers for this trip.:upsidedow

I am use to cruising out of Ft. Lauderdale where you land, get in a taxi pay $20 with tip and you are at that port in 15 minutes.....

I am looking forward to our pre cruise day :)
We are flying down from long island on our usual 6:30am flight which should have us in MK by 11! After a day at MK we are (finally) staying at the Contemporry, Concierge level!!! (the cost to upgrade to CL was less than breakfast would cost for the five of us!)
From the CR we are taking a car service (not sure which one) to the port :)

We are flying in a few days before the cruise and staying on property (still working out the details). We are going to do one park one day, and downtown disney/enjoy the pool the other day. Then we are staying near the airport the night before the cruise and taking Disney transfers from the Airpot to the ship. Very excited! Until then I am busy organizing my FE gifts and making my FE.

Sounds fantastic. I can't take DD out of school that Friday so we need to stick to the late Friday flight or the Sat am flight.

Do you fly SW. I am ready to drive to Islip and take our flight out of there. PVD to MCO rates are SO high. :sad2:

Hi all,

We are on this 5-12 cruise and are so about our first cruise and it is Disney ! We booked a AAA rate for 5-11 at the Hyatt MCO a few weeks ago for $161.10 plus tax.

That rate is now $143.10 plus tax. I thought I would post here in case anyone had a higher rate booked. I am a novice so that may not be the best rate always but is the best one I can find now. We want to stay in the airport and relax the night before the cruise.

Happy Planning to all. :)
Awesome! Thanks ILoveWD! That just save me $20. Good for a couple of drinks on the cruise!:drinking1

Hi everyone
Just checking in to say hello from England :)
We are flying in the day before the cruise and staying at Wilderness Lodge that evening, we are going to use DCL transfers to get us to the port after an early breakfast at 'Ohana :)
After the long flight from the UK and the effects of jet lag we will both be awake at stupid o'clock on the day of the cruise so I thought we could make the most of early start and head for breakfast with Mickey!
After the cruise we are heading back to WDW for 7 days ....... So excited !!!! :)

Yes, we fly SwA... Prices this year were much higher than in the past... Fortunately we had ome leftover vouchers :)

Does anyone know about what time they will allow boarding on Saturday? We boarded the Dream about an hour early last year and were suprised to see so many people on the ship already.

I want to make sure we plan our Saturday morning right because we are coming from WDW.

Thanks for the info; I'm changing their info on my spreadsheet so they will get something a bit more age appropriate. I see from your signature line that y'all have been cruising DCL for a long time. What great family time for all of you!

Our flight lands at 10pm too, but I KNOW that DH and I will want to grab a drink at the bar and relax before heading to bed since we can sleep in a little in the am.

How is everyone getting to Port? We are going by Car Service and have a van reserved for up to 10 people there are 7 of us, SO if there are 2 or 3 parties that want to share let me know I am sure we can modify reservation. Not sure if that would help anyone or not.

Missy

Hi!! I know that I will LOVE to grab a drink, but I will be with my 2 DD... I'll have the drink on the cruise::yes::
We are using the DCL bus. Thanks for the offer... You are very kind:hug:
