I finally started packing today! This is the longest I have ever waited to pack, EVER!

Fortunately I have been pulling stuff out and setting clothes and toiletries aside for a while now, so it is a pretty easy process. I have started the process of clearing out my fridge... cleaning the house etc etc.

AHHHH! IT'S SO CLOSE!!!

A week from right now we will be sailing!!

Is it just me or has anyone else looked and noticed that it appears our cruise is going to be nowhere near full. I have looked on DCL website just seeing what was still available and it seems there are still 8-10 rooms available in almost all verandah categories and many in other categories as well.

Good!! More room for us, and less of a line for the AquaDuck!

The flight. It's looong with a 3.5 year old Seattle to Orlando. I've flown far just DH and I ... Turkey, Italy, etc. but the farthest we've flown with DS is LA. (2 hrs to Disneyland and Disney cruises out of LA for us) I am super super nervous about this long flight. I know people do it with small kids all the time, but my little guy is active not sure how I'm going to get him to sit still for 6 1/2 hours. it's hard for me to sit that long! The cruise? Not nervous at all!

Don't try to keep him still, that won't happen. Let him walk around every so often...long flights are AWFUL. Plus, with all the excitement, he might take a nap.

Nope, we're staying at the port. Everyone on these boards cracks me up with all the Disney acronyms. I figured out WDW, AKL, MK and of course DCL. Have a safe flight from England!!

I probably won't pack until Wednesday or Thursday night. I am a professional procrastinator. BTW, your post above was the 1,000 response to our thread!!

Christine and Meg....we're staying in the port area, too (DoubleTree). I would say we might see you at Fish Lips but I'm dying for some good Cuban food and I think I found a place that looks good. Rubio's Cuban Cafe...I think we're going to try it out. You guys have safe flights and I'll keep my fingers crossed for sleeping children on the plane!

We are flying in Friday morning and spending afternoon and evening at MK, staying at Contemporary and taking DCL transport to port... Still no pickup time or DCL yet though...

We are using DCL transfers from WL and from what I can gather there will be an envelope waiting at check in giving you the details of the DCL pick up time
Just from searching the boards it looks like someone comes to collect your bags at around 8:30am and the buses start to pick up around 11:30/noon

Hi. I'll have them at the port, DH and I will be wearing green, and the bands. I'll bring them to the meet, and if I have not met you by then, I'll drop them at your room the first night. (Pending DS cooperating, if not, def. by the 2nd night) You can call room to room also, and I'll bring it if I know you're "home."

We arrive at 10 pm Friday. I am currently sitting on an airplane on the Tarmac in Indianapolis. And I'm reminded why we are not flying in Saturday AM since I'm not supposed to be in Indy. My flight WAS supposed to go Raleigh to Chicago. Ah the joys of travel. Just hoping to make it home sometime tonight.

We went with Access Line Transportation. http://www.altransportation.com/. I looked into all options (DCL transfers, rental car and leave at port, rental car and drop off at Port canaveral and have them shuttle us to ship, private car). Since there are 6 of us traveling, based on price and hassle factor, we went private car.

Just a quick hello! I cannot wait to meet everyone I have my bags packed and ready to go We are packed tight, so I have no idea how we will manage taking our souvenirs home...LOL. Though I am not planning on buying much and my bag of FE gifts will be cleaned out so we can fit all of the wonderful FE gifts we get in it I managed to get myself and my son in one checked bag, we each have a carry on small suitcase and a bag/backpack (we will be on vacation for 14 days total). Can't wait to head to the Airport...

I finished packing last night. Oh how I hate to iron and usually don't even care, but some of the clothes were really bad...so it had to be done. I am now relaxing in bed reading DIS tonight.

I have busy week and don't want to be stressed out this week I want to start my vacation week less stressed.

I downloaded Fifty Shades of Grey to my kindle, can't wait to read it. REally hope kids do well in kids club, really need some me time. I have not read a book since my DD was born almost 8 years ago
