may 12, 2012 7 Night Western on the Fantasy

My family just got off the Dream yesterday and we have this cruise lined up as of Saturday :)

This will be our second cruise with me (24 as of cruise date), mom (51), and my younger sister (10 as of cruise date)

We had so much fun on this last one - good tip, if the spa offers the rainforest package it is so worth the extra money!!!:cheer2:

this is going to be so fun us girls can hang out and then send our moms off with each other to hang out lol:dance3:

So, as far as the excursions go :goodvibes - I know I want to have a chill beach day - an exploring day and an adventure type day.

I am trying to lose weight before the trip. I'm down 26 lbs and need to lose another 40 before I am at my goal weight. Since we're going on the cruise in a little less than a year I am using this as my motivation. I want to do an 'adventure' excursion. Something like ziplining or rock climbing. Possibly one of the excursions with the dolphins....

I just can't decide which port would be best for which excursion. I am guessing Cozumel should be my explore day,so I can see the ruins. I just really can't wait for them to release the excursions for Costa Maya.

Anyone have a clue when that might be??? :confused3

P.S. - Is anyone else trying to lose weight for the trip? It might be nice for some added support!!

I am going to try and lose 30 pounds before the cruise. :thumbsup2

The only experience I have is with Tortola and they didn't release the excursion information until a month or so before you could book.

Is it sad that I'm already so excited? lol

I am also planning on hitting the gym quite a few times before the cruise, crossing fingers on actually keeping up with that plan :yay:

Not sad at all, I am very excited as well! It seems I am not happy unless I have a vacation to plan. ;) The trip report I am writing right now should take me right up to the cruise.

It has been hard for me to exercise this summer, I have been lacking motivation, once school starts in the Fall it will be easier as I have friends that I go to the gym and run with.

This is our second Disney Cruise. Sailed on the Dream in May and we are hooked! Looking to share some excursion suggestions.

Welcome! Wan't the Dream an amazing ship??

I've been looking at all the excursions to the different ruins (how often do you get to see something like that?) but they also had something that takes you into underground caves I think....

So many choices!!!:cool1:

Hello all I will be adding a few new people to the roll call later today and I will also add a link to the facebook site as well. I was online today looking at the prices and my cruise is up over 1000!!!!! I thought it was funny how we are all around the same age I will be 28 in Aug and my dh will be 29 in Nov and we are also taking my parents along for this trip. Anyone doing anything fun this summer? We do alot of camping here in Az to get out of the heat but it also helps that we have a pool. Cant wait for school to start as my kids are driving me nuts! Hope all is well with everyone and again if Im missing info on your group please IM me so that I can get it added!:thumbsup2

Hello All,

My wife, Gay, and I actually booked this cruise on our Magic Western in January, and the price has gone up more than $1000 since then. This will be our 6th Disney Cruise, all have been on the Magic. We will be celebrating my wife's 40th birthday on the 15th. We've booked one of the ocean view rooms in the front of the ship, because that was by far the best value at the time of our booking.

I am interested to see if sailing on a new Disney ship for the first time will bring back some of the "magic" from our first Disney cruise. That was definitely one of the best vacations we have had.

We live in High Point, NC, will be driving down for the cruise, and staying at the Radisson the night before.

Hello all, we just found the thread, though we booked when we were aboard the Magic in June (the Med!). Thank you everyone for organizing and getting things started so early, it's nice to have something to jump into. Has anyone done this time of year before in the Caribbean? What can we expect in terms of weather.

Can't wait for the Fantasy to be done and those pics to start leaking! :cheer2:

Is the Radisson at the port? We stayed at the Hyatt at MCO last year and it was very convenient. This year I *think* we'll do the same thing, but I'm not sure. Is the Radisson much different in price that the Hyatt?

we always stay at the embassy suites at the air port they have free transportation to and from the airport. we have them pick us up there and then drop us off by the buses. they also have a free breakfast that is great and the rooms are the two bedroom rooms.:cool1:

Hi again. DisneyMommy1022, it looks like I somehow forgot to give you info for my kids. DS1 Cooper (6) and DS2 Spencer (4).

So I counted, and it looks like we're the 7th cruise on the Fantasy! That's really fun.

Have you named the group yet? Maybe we could use the number seven, like

Lucky 7 on Fantasy
Fantasy's Seventh Heaven
Seven FantaSEAS
Seven Seas on Fantasy

Yes the Raddison is at the port I liked it because we didn't have to take disney transportation to the port the hotel offered free transportation the day of the cruise so we rented a car at MCO and drove to the port and did some shopping and then dropped the car off its two doors down and stayed at the pool the rest of the night. I think the room was about 100 for one night and we got the transportation and free breakfast and the car was 48 for one way for one day.
