May 12, 2007 -- Taking the Magic to the Mediterranean -- 14 day Repo Cruise!

Busy...busy...busy - we're all going to need this vacation.

Don't have nearly the hectic schedules that you wonderful parents have...but still got a lot done this weekend. My parents were not as cool about all those activities as you all are...

We did a through spring cleaning of the house and prepped for the house sitter.

I did the packing - we're at 90% done...we both work 4 days this week, so we are still wearing our shoes and need to gather a few last items...but they're all in sticky notes on the packing room door - so as they go in the bags, the sticky note comes off the door. I got us into 3 bags, with one spare to bring stuff back in, we like to get trinkets in each place we visit for our "international' guest room...and we opted for no pirate costumes this time...we'll snag some good one's after this halloween.

We printed our first 2 magnets - they look great!!! Mike's still working on several others... he's better with some of the programs than I am...

Our "fish extender" project is "done", but requires a bit of TLC still as it's a bit fragile...hope it makes it...it's really cool.

We still have a few things to do, but I'm so glad that we're only 5 nights away....this week at work will be hectic - people are tired of me telling them I'll be gone, but I know that they still think I'll check email or something and will be sadly mistaken.......

Morning from Australia - in about two hours I start my trek that I hope will have me arrive in Florida friday night. A quick stop at home to do laundry and repack then its VACATION time!

Ken - great news for your son! As a VB coach and former player the sponsorship is huge!

ALLERGIES - DW and DD both have severe allergies. Send in the sheet with the specifics on it then when you get on board go and see the maitre d. He should point out your head waiter and also your table waiter. Make several copies of the allergy sheet and give each of them one. Usually the head waiter will be directly responsible for you but we have never been on DCL only on quite a few other companies and this was how it worked. Even so DW has spent two nights in ships hospitals because she got caught. PM me if you want any more info.

OK will try and stick my nose in the boards as I make my way back. Those of you already started please soak up some of the Disney atmosphere for us not so fortunate! Have a great day!

Ok, got music on the iPod just a few more albums left. Have Pirates 1 & 2 loaded, and now have The Illusionist and The Prestige next. Tomorrow will be Vanity Fair & Must Love Dogs.

Changed out some of the stuff I packed. Comforters washed and in the dryer. Clean sheets set aside. Child broke the doornob to her bathroom. I thought I could fix it, but nope, she broke the guts of it. So now my dad has something on his daddy do list while I am gone.

I am with the rest of you and do not think I will sleep Wednesday night (we leave for the hotel Thursday morning and fly out Friday morning)

Anyone know how big a putzs the airlines are about lipgloss NOT being in your little declared bag to go on as a carry on?

If the ship arrives in Barcelona a bit worse for wear you will know we partied just a little too much (we do have about a dozen half way bashes planned ) I sure hope we get to meet you one of these days as we will be just missing you in Barcelona won't we? We should think about a New England meet some time this fall.

We've also booked the am Chocolate Museum tour -- and it is still showing on our reservation. How did you hear that it was canceled?

My heart goes out to those of you who are still struggling with passport issues - I've been there wtih my grandson's -- you have to be really pro-active -- consider ringing your Senators -- my grandson's was processed within 6 hours of the phone call and arrived the next day at NO additional charge.

I can not agree with her more!! We had to do the same thing. Faxed the congressman Wed, it went out on Thursday and she had it Friday. It seems like an awful waste of money to miss the cruise because of not having your passport. Not to mention that you won't get your money back if you do miss it for that!!!

I could really go for one of those coconut margaritas!!! We just finished the final prep of the house and backyard. It is a pain getting the pool unready to swim for almost 3 weeks. Anyway, I did receive my package last night. My husband busted open the mailbox around 11:30 p.m. I wanted to aska repeat of a question - and I was even going to PM Brooklyn - arn't we allowed to bring alcohol in the luggage. I am bringing one bottle of wine to go with the pizza on Deck 9 at night as we listen to the ocean go by. I can really go for that because we have not been sleeping well. I think it is the excitement, but there has to be a crash time and it better not be next weekend! Anyway, are you guys going for the alcohol on Friday just because you don't have room or don't want to chance the weight? Remind me again and sorry for the repeat. Good night all and happy last work DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is her first trip since we lost my dad. Only a few more days! We (my dh and I) are totally excited, but at this point, it seems like she's got a bit of mixed feelings, which is understandable. So do look out for her!
