T-mobile Update.

As Misseulalie (SP) mentioned if your phone is turned on and you receive a call but don't answer you are charged for one minute.

What T-mobile told me and of course this may not apply to other carriers, is that it is not actually the missed call you are charged for but if the caller leaves a voice message you are charged one minute for the Voice mail notification.

Even if your phone is off you are not complete protected. If you turn your phone on in your cabin the network will immediately send any pending voice mail notifications and you still get charged for each one ( I don't think you get a break for consolidating them ).

She then told me that if I turn off my voice mail I can leave my phone on and still get the caller ID information for missed calls without any charges at all.

In this scenario I will only pay for calls I choose make and receive.

Text messaging is the way to stay in touch at $0.30 per message sent and received.

With T-mobile the service rep has to turn off Voice mail and she scheduled ours for early Saturday morning.

Small Print: This is what the rep told me. She might be wrong but she did sound like she knew all about this. No "I thinks" or "let me checks". That said, everyone needs to call and confirm their own situation. Kissimmee Inc will not be issuing refund checks if I got this all screwed up ...

I am hoping that I can get everything done this morning, big order to fill but do able if everything goes smoothly. DW ended up working until about 10 last night, tonight is finishing the laundry and then we pack. GOing to be a late night.

I did make room on the iPod last night, I think about 20G is good. That leaves me with enough room for about 18000 pictures hehe. That is only about 1000 pictures per day, don't think I will do that many but I figure it is better to be safe then sorry.

So excited here...last day to prep

I'm doing my team call with my team in Kuala Lumpur in 5 minutes, then off to the office to do my Glasgow team call, then the US meeting after lunch - and the last meeting with my boss....then rush home and finish up.

Magnets are done.

Tshirts will be done tonight...

Grass got mowed, but dogs escaped bathing one more night...so tonight is it. 4 dogs, 1 tub, 2 daddies - the game is on.

Pixie--Let FIL do the stressing over his passport! You have gotten good advice on traveling with kdis. If you want to talk more on boeard let me know (kids fly multiple times every year, many long flights have since babies)--I have plenty of good strategies.

Got a lot done yesterday, but needless to say, still far too many things left to do today DD3 is convinced it is time to get on the ship everytime we walk out the door. DD13 & 11 are nearly jumping out of their skin they are so excited now. Both have had to try and stay focused up until now since they have STAR (state) testing this week. Yesterday was brutal. Both ended up doubled up on STAR testing yesterday taking half of Math & Spelling sections on top of the regularly scheduled completion of the Language sections. Today they will each finish up the last sections of the tests. DD11 also has to give a speech and turn in three projects that will be due while we are gone.

It looks like evryone is beginning to sign off for good in preparations of leaving. I hope everyone who is traveling today gets there safe and sound, and those of us heading out tomorrow will too, in addition to flight being on time .
I am like everyone else who posted and have a million things on my list to do today, so I do not know how much more I will be on either.....

I am getting nervous about that hurricane. I hope it goes another direction, because I was really looking forward to mother's day on CC!!!

I have the BEST doctor. His office is closed on Thursdays. But, he just called me from home to let me know that the fax from the lab came in and my follow up PAP (first one was abnormal and my mom had cervical cancer at 35) is normal. Wanted me to knwo before the trip. What a really nice guy. Now I can not stress on the trip.
