Padalyn, so sorry to hear about your kitty.

Am totally losing it here -- had disatrous plumbing problem yesterday which I will not bore you with, except to say that it is never good when a plumber (thank goodness we have a great one) comes out, takes a look, and immediately departs to get large pieces of equipment and a helper. He fixed it all, and we cleaned last night since it was a total mess in the kitchen. So much for trip stuff, which we very seriously needed to do. Points to my dh who held down the fort during the day, working from home and bailing until the plumber came. Poor Jim!!

Also had to make emergency stop at the Lenscrafters for a non-negotiable can't live without it glasses repair. So I am so totally behind. Off to get my hair done, but no manicure/pedicure for me! (time issue). The clock's ticking!!!!!

Just a sad note - my kitty Merlyn passed away today at 3pm. I was holding him in my arms and he died quietly with dignity.

I'm so sorry about your kitty. I have one whose 12 and I know that he may have only a couple years left.
It breaks my heart just thinking about it...

Kinda a personal question, but how much cash is everyone bringing? (I'm not a thief, really ) I'm not sure how much to bring since on the ship everything is bought by the card, and in the ports I will be using my ATM to get Euros.

I was thinking $100-$200? Maybe $30-$40 in singles to use as tips?

One more update for us:

We are still working on last minute packing - I made the last run to Walmart at lunch today while at work.

Mike's out mowing the grass now and we have to bathe the kids and put on their flea and tick stuff. So the house sitter will only need to mow once and the kids won't stink for her...

Last load of laundry being done now.

Working on some tshirt designs and more magnets...hopefully all will turn out OK.

Called Chase to tell them I was traveling with my Disney Visa Card....she set me up and told me that she knows that a big group of people will be there to see us off and to wave back at all the people wearing the Mickey hands.

Called our cell phone co. and activated for international. Will not tell anyone at work about the onboard cell phone service.

Had to tell everyone yet again that I was going to be untouchable for 2 weeks while sailing across the ocean - guess they're still in denial - my boss asked me when I leave again....I told her tomorow is my last day in the office - she didn't seem to remember it being that soon. oh well...I've done my part to prep the rest of the team - and will clean up what I need to on return. It's not like if I quit or was laid off they wouldn't get by...they'll be fine.

Both of us are finally feeling much better...colds seem to be over.

Hoping for calm seas - don't need Mike being a zombie for 2 weeks on dramamine...I have it packed...just hope to get by with some of the more homeopathic stuff.

Looks like we'll hit 9000 posts tonight or tomorrow along with 600 pages soon. Yay!!

Good news, thanks to all about the cell charger --- we found one at Target and are all set. Thanks for the offer Kissimmee (sp?) whew! What a relief.

Padalyn, I'm so sorry you are starting your vacation with a loss. Also, I meant to tell you this morning that we are having a lot of ash from the fires. I had a little cough all day from the smoke, so all of you with lung issues be aware. You may be on your way here.

To all others: most of you are travelling tomorrow and Friday so have a great trip.

Debbie, we are going to the parade at 3pm, so while everyone else goes to Blizzard Beach, I'm going to come over to see this great show!

So, for today, we went to AK and saw the Nemo musical. It was very creative, Zoe loved it! But the Lion King festival show was spectacular. I love a show that starts with an empty room and fills it up with so much fun. I loved it! Zoe's having a really hard time adusting to the time change - so after the show she announced that she was done her adventure (I'm done with my adventure today mommy) and wanted to go back to Perdita's house. We went to Boma for dinner (yet another disboard recommendation) and tried the carrot ginger soup that you guys recommended. We loved everything we ate. And the hotel was outstanding. I'd go there in a minute. And would absolutely go back to Boma - it's the best meal we've had since we arrived. Thanks to all of you for the dis-recommends. I took all of your collective advice

Hadley, don't leave your hair color on a little bit longer because of being away longer. I did that for a few extra minutes and now have bad color!!!

MK tomorrow - lunch with Erik and Jason tomorrow. Can't wait to see the country bears again and the Carousel of progress - we miss them at DL.

I see on TV that Oprah is at Disneyland - wonder when they filmed that?

We can not find the charger for our Sony Cybershot DSC-P200 !! This is mom's point and shoot that we carry when I do not want to lug the DSLR.

Anyone have one that we can borrow on the ship a couple of times?????

Debbie - we have a sony t5 and a sony t7 that we are bringing. They are the really small cameras with internal zooms. The front slides down. If it fits you are welcome to use it.

I looked at that camera online, and the fittings don't match I have another Sony, but of course that one does not fit this one either!

Kelly--I'm so happy you got to see Festival of the Lion King and liked it. If I only had time to do one thing at WDW I would see that show. As soon as everyone starts to come out and the music starts I KNOW I am really there (Dave feels the same way with the opening note and spot light at Fantasmic). Don't worry that I left the color on too long (and very sorry you are not happy with yours). They quit making the color I used to use, so I bought a slightly different one by the same company. It was awful going on. Very drippy, stained my scalp, skin, etc. instantly. It was so nasty I rinsed it out on the earliest recomended time. It is still soaking wet so I can't really tell how it came out. I may look like the bride of Frankenstien I am really thinking Deanna and Cayla know what they are doing leaving theirs grey.

Well pulled another 13 hour day at work, far too tired to even think about packing seriously tonight. Did pack the pirate costumes, the extra jackets, the drug store and the Secret Mickey gift but all that was already in a pile. Did some laundry but off to bed. need sleep, tomorrow I will be leaving work early I think and I really don't care at this point. Too tired after this week.

1 more sleep.

Thank you one and all for the condolences (SP??) I really appreciate it. In some ways it was better this way - now I don't have to worry about him for the whole trip. He was fine last week, and gone today. This is the way of kitty's I guess - his brother died the same way almost 2 years ago. I cried for hours, my GF Tiggr33 was there and we did a group cry with the vet who was the most wonderful person I have ever met. He left the other office to come and be with us during this time. I owe this man big time. My regular vet doesn't do emergencies.

Everyone was telling me today to have a great trip - still canno believe it! Just finished the last of the packing - had the pedicure, everyone is fed and I just want to go to bed and wake up tomorrow!!! Have a great trip and see everyone on SATURDAY or maybe Friday night! I won't have dreams that the fires are blocking the rode to Port Canaveral - I WILL NOT WORRY!
