This is TERRIBLE - I'm trying to be excited and I just can't because I get SO WORRIED about stuff. Everyone else feels like a dancing banana and I feel like this :worried:

I'm worried about getting everything together
I'm worried about FIL's passport
I'm worried about all my plans since I'm in charge.
and I'm worried about what I'm going to do with a 4 and 2 year old on a nine hour flight home.

Somebody slap me.

It will be ok. You have to accept things may be out of your control (FIL passport)

Just think you will be on a Disney Cruise!!!!!

As for the kids on the flight.... rile them up in the airport, then they will sleep :)

You will be fine!

Debbie

This always worked for me, and I don't know if you are looking for advice. I would get 10 little things at the $ store for Abby and wrap them. Every hour she would open a new little gift. One time a coloring book/crayons, next time stickers, one time Goldfish crackers. She loved it, kept her occupied and if she got out of her seat or screaminng fit or whatever you want to call it, she wouldn't get a surprise! It worked!!!!!:cool1:

I keep trying to think about the extra room I would have. I know there is nothing I can do about - I did all I could do (Yell the past two weeks).

Thank You - I will do this for sure. I have movies for them and the leapster games, but 9 hours is crazy. I appreciate you telling me this. :thumbsup2

Well... I see that sleep is not going to come easy tonight. Have to be up before 4 am... so what is the point! ;) :rotfl:

Just like the commercial.. "I am too excited to sleep!"

Go to sleep! I've stayed up before using that "whats the point thought" - I felt like poop the next day.

I'm the same way. I've been worried about a bunch of things. I'm also sort of depressed now that it is for sure that I'm doing this solo. I do so wish that it had worked out that my DH could have joined me.

My main worry right now is my connection in Denver on Friday. I have 30 minutes and have been following the flight status during the last week. Even if the plane leaves on time it seems to get into Denver 15 minutes late. Most of the days the connecting flight is leaving late also, but last Friday it left 10 minutes early. I called United with my concerns and they moved me forward on the plane (from 24A to 9D), but said I should have no problems. Ya Ya. They don't understand what kind of drama we can imagine when we are just wanting to get on the ship.

Padalyn - I am so sorry about your kitty.

I agree with tiring the kids out. I know of many people who will need their luggage pulled around. Let them do that!!!! Also, the idea of a treat an hour is a good one. Especially when you drag it out by saying that it starts when the plan is in the air, and for everytime the misbehave, it delays the gift by 10 minutes...and make sure you have munchies for them. My kid hated airplane food and would have starved if not for the snacks I packed for her!

Isn't it terrible to worry. We have to fix that.

Your flight should be fine. I've had 30 min a few times. If they know people have connections they will wait a little bit. Think of it this way - the plane that left 10 min. early probably had everyone they needed on board.

Sorry about DH.

Gotta finish my fish extender and I'm going to sleep. Good Night.

I know "shopping" is probably the last thing you have time for but, our little ones travel with their Leapsters. Made by Leap Frog, about $50 at Wal-Mart and you buy different game cartridges for all ages. Grandkids have had them since they were 2 and they are great for the plane.

OK, now that I've finished reading all the other posts, I see that you already have this.

Finally!!!!!

We're packed, with just 16 hours to go!!!!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

To the Mouse!!! To the Mouse!!!! pixiedust:

Safe travels all!! party:

Everyone was telling me today to have a great trip - still canno believe it! Just finished the last of the packing - had the pedicure, everyone is fed and I just want to go to bed and wake up tomorrow!!! Have a great trip and see everyone on SATURDAY or maybe Friday night! I won't have dreams that the fires are blocking the rode to Port Canaveral - :scared: I WILL NOT WORRY!

hey! don't worry about getting to Port Canaveral, there is more than one way to get there! Maybe not the Beachline, but there ARE other roads!

We'll be fine! Connie

Connie - thank you so much. I am just heading off to bed and feel better. Last year we were caught in traffic and tookl us almost 2 hours to get there. I remember my husband looking at me on the bus and saying, "This is a nightmare." We saw the ship, just couldn't get to it. Look forward to seeing you. GOOD NIGHT ONE AND ALL! SIGNING OUT!

ME TOO ME TOO!!!! :dance3:

I did this for my boys when they were little and we flew to England......I knew they wouldn't eat the airplane food, so we had cheeriosl, cheese and crackers, m&m's, Goldfish, anything they like. I was lucky that they both loved their music on the headphones, and that would entertain them for hours. The little one will probably sleep if he's nice an warm and cozy.

Just thought I'd let everyone now I am on the computer in the middle of the night because I just got off of work......I HATE working til midnight! I am just not a midnight person. I would much rather go in at 6 or 7. At least there is on ly 1 more day!

I get off at 5:30 tomorrow and then it's VACATION!!!!!

Kinda a personal question, but how much cash is everyone bringing? (I'm not a thief, really;) ) I'm not sure how much to bring since on the ship everything is bought by the card, and in the ports I will be using my ATM to get Euros.

I was thinking $100-$200? Maybe $30-$40 in singles to use as tips?

I don't know where you are going after the cruise, but maybe a little more would be better. But the singles is a good idea for tips.

Good night all. Only a couple more days! We're ready for the wine and cheese party! :hyper2:

I see a few others are still here! Managed to get all the laundry done from the jaunt to Australia and now have three large piles of clothes to stuff er place neatly into suitcases. Then finish magnets, sort kiddie things, organize paperwork, pay bills, find multiple chargers.... Oh well still have tomorrow to shop. Tomorrow, uh oh it is already here. Time to PANIC! Not really but sleep might be a little bit short tonight. Half a sleep to go:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Number of kids....

83 kids
210 kids at heart ;) :hippie:

Debbie

I would have to answer that we are all kids :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Do you have an iPod? If so you can get a small adapter to fit onto it that will allow you to transfer the pictures form the camera to the iPod. When you get home, connect it to your PC as normal and copy the pictures from it back to your PC. Works like a charm!! Now I just have to make room on my iPod for the pictures. Do you think 34G is enough room :rotfl:

:rotfl: sounds like something my son would do

I knew I could count on you guys!!! Woot, 6 pages since last night hehe.

Scott, do you ever sleep!! And I thought I was an night owl, you give the word new meaning......

Time for work.

Cheers!!

Pat
