Chris, this being my first cruise I believe the best answer to that would be that you go through withdrawal and then you book another cruise as fast as you can so you get the same feeling all over again

Shutters and or the INTERNET café should offer a Door magnet design and printing program. Or offer a Kids program to draw on a Door Magnet sheet and hang therir art on their doors and the staff could walk around and place magnetic ribbons on the doors with the best efforts for each age group.

The Shops could sell a kit with a blank, outlined or even a preprinted 8 1/2 x 11 magnet sheet specific to each cruise with magic (Get it? Magic) markers for you to personalize it... That way when new cruisers see a door Magnet for the first time, they won't be tempted to duct tape something to the door.

I am contemplating using DCL transfers from the Port to BCN airport. It would be $25 per person. So it would be $50.... US$$ which would be about 37 Euro.

Any idea how much a taxi would be from the port to the airport??

It may be worth it for the ease of transfers, but we may be at the airport waiting for a while as our flight does not leave until 2 pm.

So pros and cons to all of it.

I did read somewhere thought that taxis charge per peice of luggage on top of local charge for taxi so it might work out a bit more. Also what are you going to be able to do with all your bags and things anyway? Being at the airport early doesn't bother me as we can't really drag all our bags around town that day.

We recently decided to book this cruise. We are getting everything squared away and have been playing catch-up reading the board.

I'm trying to reply to a PM that a fellow disboarder sent, but keep getting this error:
Could not find phrase 'error_postcount_too_low_mail'.

Any idea what might be causing that?

You have to post a minimum number of posts to pm. I think its 5/6 so just keep replying to posts and eventually it will allow you.

Just had a thought while at work this week. What happens to this thread when the cruise is over. Does it just "close" down? Do we all still come to the thread and now talk about everything that we all did and everything that happened for 14 (or 25 for some) days? Is there a new thread that gets started? Just curious, having never been part of a message board thread like this, I don't know what happens after the fact.

Well.... The May 2005 Panama Canal cruise thread is still active We all still post to that one. There are others that have been around longer. So it sticks around and we and continue the magic for a long time.

Welcome to the new people

We had summer here yesterday (88 degrees--and it was snowing only a week earlier). Spring is blowing back in as I type. The air has that really fabulous, about to rain, negative ion smell.

It's spring break here in New Hampshire. This means we are booked solid with playdates with school friends. Yesterday I took the kids and one of Marika's friends to the bead shop in Concord. Marika made three new pairs of earrings for the cruise and Rio made a new wood bead necklace especailly for Castaway Cay. Hmm, should it bother me that my kids have more jewlry to pack than I do? Should I be going shopping to rectify this situation?

Our vacation starts in 4 days . We are flying to Atlanta on Saturday, staying with friends in Marietta a few days and driving down slowly to Orlando and the port.

Click on "user CP" and you can add stuff to your signature. you need to use something like Photobucket.com to add a personal photo, but there are lots of fun avatars to add from the site. Connie

I was noticing all of the Cynthias myself. For at least 6 genreations the first female born into my dad's family each generation was named Cynthia. Well, my dad broke the tradition and named me Hadley (after Hemmingway's first wife) and I ended up being the only girl that generation! My aunt Cynthia and my great aunt Cynthia always give him a hard time about this. I like the name Cynthia, but I REALLY like being a Hadley, so it is okay with me
