:surfweb: AH the joys of a cup o'joe and internet in bed! ;)

DH is flying to LA this morning on business for a few days. This gives me the all clear to really do some shopping! Ha HA I decided that the "travelite.org" method of only packing 7 items for a month of travel isnt for me! :rotfl:

I think I will try for the "Honey can you sit on the suitcase so I can close" it school of packing. I already have my BA think I might try for a Masters with this trip!:woohoo: (DH will love me for it  )

Welcome to all the new people, this is a great group!

The first thing I packed in DH suitcase was his grass skirt. Just waiting on the t-shirt. Will anyone be wearing their fraternity shirts to the terminal?

With so many cynthias in this group if you forget someones name, just call them cynthia! Odds are you might be right! :rotfl:

:hourglass Counting down the days until we meet up on the Magic!

One last weather note: DC area this morning; 69 and overcast. All the windows open and birds chirping. Yesterday was a bit on the warm side..Today is PERFECT for GOLF!:cheer2:  Not that I am any good, but the clothes are soooo darn cute! :dance3:

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: Great news!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

For those of you who are still ever so patiently waiting for passports --- I have great advice! Give up on ringing and holding online passport control for hours on end.....give up hounding your passport processing agent (mine was my local post office) and fax or email your US Senators!

I sent both Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn faxes at 3 am Monday morning because I was so stressed and just couldn't sleep. Between 2 and 4 pm - I got two calls - one from Kay's aide and one from John's aide -- both assuring me that my grandson WOULD have his passport and I would NOT be charged an expedite fee as I had been advised paying an expedite fee at submission of the application was not necessary.

Bright and early this morning, sure enough my credit card was zapped (by weekend shopping) but not by the passport agency AND the passport application status page shows shipped by priority mail!
 :cheer2: :woohoo:  :cheer2: :cool1: :woohoo:

I will wear my GSF (Grass Skirt Frat) shirt on 5/12....

I will wear my GSF (Grass Skirt Frat) shirt on 5/12....

I will probably wear a Transatlantic crossing shirt to the terminal but change into the proper Frat wear for sailaway. :rotfl2:

Ken

Good morning to all! Yesterday was a great day here, the sun was shinning and we were in the 60s. Cruise shirts came yesterday! :woohoo:

DH, DS10, Ds8 and DD16's vests are made. Mine is started, but not all the way there yet.

DH is flying to Korea today and Mom is flying home to Kansas City, MO (Lee's Summit, really). After I take the two of them to the airport, I might get some work done around here. Wash the new t-shirts, finish my vest, make a fish extender. What? The housework. . . that's not nearly as important! :lmao:

Hi Everyone!

We recently decided to book this cruise. We are getting everything squared away and have been playing catch-up reading the board.

I'm trying to reply to a PM that a fellow disboarder sent, but keep getting this error:
Could not find phrase 'error_postcount_too_low_mail'.

Any idea what might be causing that?

Thanks!

Welcome!

Just-happy-to-be-on-the-lanyard-list-Cynthia!
Me too! :thumbsup2

:woohoo: I called yesterday about DD, who had put hers in way before ours and the gal on the phone sent an "urgent" message saying that DD's trip dates had been moved up and that I should call again on Thursday. I feel your pain and now joy!

Lori

:goodvibes Everyone is in such a good mood this morning! :goodvibes

Great news about your DGS passport taxtracker. I was keeping you in my thoughts and just couldnt imagine you two NOT being on the ship.

So question for the ladies of our group...has anyone ventured into the stores swimsuit shopping yet? I keep putting it off since my reflection only shows me my current 48 year old body instead of the 22 year old version I feel like/remember. I wish they would fix :wizard: the mirrors!:rotfl:

Has anyone else noticed that the closer the time come for you acutally needing a swimsuit the more victoria secret swimsuit catalogs come in the mail? :scared1: :scared1:   :scared1:   "yes dear I know you like that swim suit but it wont look like that on me.."
Why cant anyone put out a catalog with real "havent spent the last 5 years starving/working out" bodies? :rotfl::rotfl:

I actaully got two new suits for the cruise last September and only got to wear them one week since (in Puerto Vallarta) so I am off the hook for shopping for those thank goodness.

 This is very exciting news!!
I am so glad for you. This will take a lot of stress off your shoulders.

JT here (Princess Cynthia's DH), (hey, maybe I should refer to her as PC!)

PC certainly immersed herself in the fish-extender production process. I was getting concerned when she contemplated moving the production line from our dining room table to a small manufacturing firm off-shore. Fortunately, we have our dining room table back and can have a family meal again. Sorry, no off-shore contracts were let. :fish:

Off to have dinner on our newly cleared off dining room table.

JT

My DH doesn't understand my scrapbook production process that is all over the countertops, dining room table and living room that I currently have going on. Maybe I ought to look at a small manufacturing firm off-shore also!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Ken

Ditto for Robert. Will need him to change so we can get the "official latest Frat picture at sailaway!"

My strategy is just to become which ever "Cynthia" has the best Palo reservation, best stateroom, best excursions, etc. wa ha ha ha!!!

Good one! :goodvibes Possibly there is some sort of strength in numbers: if so, we should gather together bc I'm sure that I'll never see this many Cynthias together in one place again!! I admit that if I end up being "Cupcake" on the cruise, I'll wish that I selected a more dignified screen name!

Btw, :welcome: to the new cruisers!!!

 C.

Cupcake, I LOVE your screen name! Are you in Chicago proper? We're in MCHenry County, north of the city.
