Scott, the moving company picked my tools clean on me. So I used the opportunity to upgrade some of my tools. I am now the proud owner of an 8" Industrial jointer by Steel city, a new bandsaw and a new planner. Of course I still need to buy a couple more things but it is nice to get some new equipment into the garage. DW already knows that there will be no car parked into our garage and she is fine with that as long as she gets her projects built :)

Loved the Google Search!! That is priceless!!

Cheers!!

Pat

LOL - That is good, but put in the Canary Islands, apparently you can DRIVE from Cadiz to there ( only 789 miles!!)...again, silly us taking the boat... :headache:

Hey, who's in charge of getting our cars on the boat? Can't we just drive home? Anyone know where the filling stations are? :lmao: :rotfl2:

who's in charge of the cars? i thought disney was building a bridge to get us all home by DCL bus??? you mean we have to fly? :scared1: :lmao:

Ready to Travel - We're from Babylon. We're flying jetblue on 5/11 to tpa and then staying the night at the cape. How about you?

Miles to go - We just ordered the medium size rolling duffles from Sierra Trading Post. They only weigh 8 lbs and each child can wheel their own and it fits all their stuff in it. They are made from High Sierra and were inexpensive, about $70. each.

My biggest worry when we moved to Cheyenne, was being close to Sierra Trading Post, just a couple of miles from our house, as it is Lynn's favorite store. Actually I get my running shies there.

Miles to go - we are using one traditional hard shell to hold breakables and a couple of duffle bags to stuff anything else in.
hopefully the a good compromise between weight and security
:)michelle

Hi,
We're so excited! It's coming fast. Is there a place where the kids can post for meeting up on the ship? My kids are too old for the kids clubs this year and the last few cruises they didn't care for the Stack. They would love to know there are other kids they could meet up with.

:cool1: Welome aboard!:cool1:

:) I am coordinating the children group. We would love to have your children join us. I am leaving to run some errands and will send you a pm when I get home.

I also have a DD Allison that is 13!;)

yes...we will be the ones everyone will be talking about with all duffle bags and only 1 med suitcase... :cool1: :rolleyes1

Does DCL have luggage restrictions or is it your airline rules you have to follow?

Okay, we are back from our little mini-cruise on the Wonder over Easter. Had a great time. Weather wasn't very cooperative in Nassau, but Castaway Cay ended up being really nice. I must say, Captain Henry did an awesome job of pulling in the Wonder to CC since the wind was at 35 knots that morning. Started around 6:30 and had us in in about an hour's time.

Found out a couple of things for the EB cruise.

1. For those that didn't see "The Art of the Story" on the Sept. itineraries on the Wonder last fall, it will be on the Magic for the crossing. I was told a few changes have been made to the show from what we saw.

2. The new Disney Dreams is excellent. Don't want to spoil any surprises, but they are testing the new show on the Wonder and it will be on the Magic for our crossing!

3. Most of the CM's that were on the Wonder last fall that were moving to the Magic are either on vacation right now or are on the Magic already.

Many special things planned on the Magic for our EB crossing.

Did I miss anything from the last 60 pages while I was cruising?

Okay, got alot of work to do.

Just airlines is all ya need to worry about, check your carrier's luggage rules.

Hey Linda!!!!!!! We want to hear more....... don't spoil stuff, so a lot of the crew will be on the Magic. I wish Capt Henry was going to be on the Magic, a very nice gentleman is he.

Hey Kids here is a computer safety tip for ya, if ya have a wireless modem etc, make sure it is locked down (encrypted) it would amaze you as to the distance a signal can travel. I just checked ours at home and it was a good 1/2 mile.

We did it!!! We got our Cat 9 right under the kitchen (and was rated as VERY noisy on the review board) down the hall to 2570. So we are near the conference rooms and the midship elevators! YEAH!! Oh and now we are just 6 doors down from Cupcake!!:dance3:

You are right across from us. We are 2573 and my parents are 2571. Wonder why we got inside rooms when nearly everyone else got outside? :( Oh well, my husband likes it to be dark anyway so he can sleep better.

thanks for the input on suitcases - I really don't want to buy one more thing for this darn trip, but I guess I'll have to. Darn, I was just at the Samsonite outlet.

If you rebooked under the category 12 deal, used a Disney VISA card to pay for the cruise and are doing the "don't pay for 6 months" thing, be sure to check if you received finance charges when you shouldn't have. Due to credits for rebooking lowering the "promotional amount", the automatic calculations somehow messed up. Yes, it will be lower THIS month, but not for what was owed under last month's statement. When I questioned it and explained, the rep immediately agreed with me and filed to have the charge reversed. It should happen in 10 days. Just wanted to let everyone know to be on the lookout.

No idea. It is all up to Inventory Control. And nothing is final until we get our little behinds on the ship. We want to try and upgrade at the port, but we are not sure how much they are going to charge, so we wanted to make sure that we got a room we could live with if the cost was tooooo outrageous. I am just afraid that they are going to try and recoup the lost money by having outragous upgrade fees at the port.

Uh Linda, I don't see what day Pirates will be premiEARed on?? :lmao: :rotfl: popcorn::

Don't tell us you forgot to keep track of Johnny & Company for us?!?! pirate:

Quick heads up to all of our knitters out there - I know many have expressed interest in taking their needles, etc with them but be aware that with the new security procedures in place at most airports that you may not be able to take them in the aircraft cabin! Perhaps it is best to pack a spare pair in your checked luggage just in case!
Greg:)
I was wondering the same thing, so I checked the TSA site and currently they are allowing knitting needles in the carryon. I was also wondering about scissors and as long as the blade is less than 4 inches or is blunt they allow these also.

I travel a lot and have never had a problem with my knitting needles, but that's ntt to say some security person won't have a fit about them someday. I do take the plastic kind, though.

I'm curious what made you think to try this in the first place. But the google response is so funny.

Speaking of Johnny, my love, the best screen kiss ever is in "Benny and Joon," when Sam kisses Joon. Oh my Goodness.:wizard: My poor dear sweet Scott:angel: must compete with Johnny in my dreams. I need POC3 pirate: on this cruise...desperately.
