Just for the hell of it I looked at the cruise price on Travelocity.ca, I paid about $4400 Cdn for us, now the price on there is about $2200 Cdn. I know I have one discount that the TA got for me, just not sure how much yet. I think I will be giving her a call to find out what it was exactly.

I know the wife and I will be dancing, maybe not every night, depends on how the youngest handles the kids club and if he wants to stay there or not. We are going to play it by ear and see what happens. We do love to dance.

Cheers!!

Pat

I have a question about the Guest medical information form??? It was included in our online registration - I don't remember doing this for the Mexico cruise last year. I'm filling them out and it looks like they have to be sent in to each of our doctors and then faxed in. Did everyone else do this? Am I reading this incorrectly?

We don't fill it out at all. Our T.A. told us on our last cruise (in Feb. '06) that it's not a mandatory form....it's a RECOMMENDED form that you should fill out if you have a serious health condition you want the medical staff to know about AND which you suspect may become an issue onboard the ship.....examples we were given were things like serious environmental and food allergies (i.e. if I get stung by a bee or eat shellfish I will stop breathing), pregnancy, diabetes, or any other very serious diagnosis (i.e. heart problem, cancer treatment, etc.) or injury (i.e. recently broken bone or completed surgery, etc.)

Jason and I have opted not to complete the form for this trip.

Hello!

We took the kids down to Nauvoo--a cool historic town along the Missippi--this weekend--everything free and SO MUCH FUN. My kids didn't want to leave.

You all have so much info. $200 less? The potential of further upgrades?

Do you think I should call and see if I can get a porthole or is that just a dream?

Oh, and I just wanted to say that if you are getting gifts for each other, (and I am especially noting the poster who mentioned that she had really wanted to something with favorite characters that was getting too costly), please don't feel obligated to get our family anything.

We just snuck in here at virtually the last minute. I'd rather y'all do something nice for all these friends you've been chatting with for so long. You have relationships with them, and I totally think you should celebrate that friendship on this cruise. I honestly think most of us newbies would understand that!

My family is just happy to be on the boat!

And I'm really grateful for all you've taught me. That is gift enough!:hippie:

OK with the latest price drop, I'm considering jumping back on the ship as a solo. Curt says he wouldn't mind. Do you think he means it?

Got another refund!!! DCL dropped our price by $100 each.

Also for those of you with messed up / short refunds (like us):

They have finally found my missing money. They applied the credit to my friends account. Now I only used one credit card. She used her Visa for the deposit and Amex for the balance. They put $335 on her Amex, $337 on my Visa and the balanc of $128 on her Visa!!! :confused3 :confused3 :confused3
Left her a message to see if she actually did get the credit on her Visa. Thank heavens we are good friends and I will just take it out in DOD!!!:rotfl:

Room upgrades = pirate:
Refund processing = :confused3

Just make sure you won't be taking it in the shorts for airfare home!!!

still waiting to hear back from my TA about getting the $200....:surfweb:

I am sorry Gydell, I guess I didn't make myself clear. :confused3 I will try again.

First, I was just seeing if any one would interested in doing a "gift" for the kids in our "kids group". But, if nobody was interested that was fine to. I was just wondering.

Second,It of coures would be completely voluntary! We do not have a lot of children in our group. I have about 20 families on our kids group list.**I would not exclude any ones children, if someone chose not to do it participate.

Last and most importantly::thumbsup2 I know that many of you have very generously contributed to other things!! I was not in any way trying to take way from that. We all do truely appreciate what everone is doing!!

Boy did I open up a can of worms! I am not against the gift giving. I just do not want anyone to feel left out -especially the kids. I know that exchanging gifts at the sailaway party has been mentioned, as well as secret Mickey for the adults. I personally had rather give to the kids if I give to anyone.

maybe we could do a "secret mickey" among the kids that wanted to play.....and that would just be 1 small gift, no more than $5 maybe? but count me in for helping with anything! i really uderstand about those on the back 2 back not wanting to bring (or lug back!) too much stuff!!!!

Regarding gifts... we would just love to participate in everything, BUT because we are on the b2b the gifts are totally way into the hundreds (Ken could probably tell us exactly how many) I, too, was trying to do a personalized gift for each person (with their fav characters) but we grew so much that it was turning into several hundred, so I've abondoned that idea and made a very small generic goodie. Outside of that I have no more room in the baggage and the budget. But I will be thrilled to see what other items people have fun getting and giving! Honestly after a year of talking to all of you on this thread it will be a thrill to hear your accents, voices, speech patterns, laughter etc. By the way I think we are at one year this week since we booked (April 4th!) Wow, its our anniversary.

1 year! wow, we were up at the crack of dawn to get ressies...no wait! DCL had already done mine through inventory control so i did not have to get up and double book like for the PC cruise where they messed up again! :rotfl2: anyway...did any of us think the prices would drop and DCL would have trouble selling tickets this badly???? I am grateful for the drop because it allows me to do this cruise and the PC one next year....

Also, we have been checking the Disney website for information on pins or other events that they might have on this or other Med cruises and there is nothing!?!?!:confused3

On the Panama cruises they had pins and other items to buy. So far for this one, nada....hmmm...maybe DCL won't have anything for us to spend our refunds on!?!??!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:scared1: :scared1: the horror! DCL not have anything for us to spend our $$$ on??!!! lets use our refunds to buy up all the shirts the first day and sell them on ebay!!! popcorn:: lol! i heard this is what happened on the first PC cruise.....

Never fear! My mom was talking to one of the Disney pin people at the Contemporary pin night and he confirmed that there would be a pin for each port of call, and other surprises. He also said, don't worry, it won't be chaos like the infamous repositioning cruise from last year.

:sad1: i wanted a pajama party.....

I filled out the medical form because I have to give myself a shot every night (lucky me) and Disney said to request a container to put my syringes in. My doctor did sign it but Disney told me that if you do not need a container, wheelchair or oxygen, you don't have to fill it out. I hope this helps.

Just make sure you won't be taking it in the shorts for airfare home!!!

SSNYDER.... i was playing around on kayak.com today for airfare for my MIL who may go on this trip and LA area to MCO was $133 one way and barcelona to LA area was $620....just to let you know but it may be cheaper where you live....:surfweb:

we would love to have you back!!!!

when i looked at her fare today it was $1398 for cat 12 GTY, one person, no transfers, no insurance.....yest it was 15?? so the price did drop!

Just spoke to my TA, she confirmed that we would lose our Cat. 9 and would go back to a GTY.12 if I take the $200 price reduction.
I decided not to take it. I love my room, Cat. 9 aft for the price of
a Cat. 12. Perfect location for us.

Am I nuts for not taking the money and hoping they would put me back in a 9 or better?

What is everyone else doing?

I'm keeping my upgrade for now. I figure less than $15 a day for bigger room, split bath and window. I will keep watching to see what happens.

Whew - well, we didn't have any reduction in our rates. For the 14 we are cat6 - cost is 500 more than we paid. for the 11 day the cost is about the same 500 more.

No refunds for us :sad1:

Ok, we heard about the chaos on the WB Panama cruise and we avoided all of it on the EB cruise. We were also pin-aholics back then, so factor that in if you will!! (yes we completed a 12 step program and got a pin for completing it!!! :rotfl: )

IF they do it like the EB cruise and the Pin Cruises, you will get an order form in your stateroom that you will fill out and turn in. Sometimes you turn it in at Treasure Ketch, sometimes in the conference rooms on deck 2. Then they go through the order forms and bag up everyones loot and you go by and pick it up. Now, for those of you who have not been through the horror of trying to get LE (limited edition) merchandise, please keep the following in mind:

1 - There are usually enough pins that every cabin (not family, but cabin) can get at least 1 of the limited edition pins.

2 - If there are items that are in very limited supply (LE of 5 or 100) where not every cabin or even every family could get one, then they do it by lottery. Everyone who wants one has their name put in the basket so to speak, and then they draw names for the # of items that they have.

3 - Your order form will usually indicate if you can request one or two of an item. What this usually means is that they think they have enough for every cabin to get one. However, not every cabin will want one. After the initial requests are filled, depending on the volume of the item left AND the number of people who want a second one of said item, they will usually distribute those by lottery too.

4 - Not at LE merchandise is pins!!! Some of it is framed art, clocks, etc. So before you toss that order form check out what is on there and make sure that you are not going to miss out on something you would really love to have!!

If you have any questions on how this process works, feel free to ask on the board or PM me.

Laura

You are so sweet! We look forwad to meeting your family and all your beautiful children! Abby, my daughter, is looking forward to hitting the movies with the kids.

You mean we don't get to have a sleep out down Beat Street with 500 of our closest friends? :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

Wow - that is odd unless they are raising the single suppliment and dropping it for two cruisers like you said! :confused3

I have to admit I am surprised to see the price drop again this soon. I didn't think it would drop again until the end of this week, beginning of next week. Of course, it may drop again then!

Me too! Was very surprised

and aboard the ship I'm going to loan myself out as an adult dance partner for kids to feel less silly about being the only adult dancing by himself because Jason won't dance either!!
:tigger:Erik quote]

Hey, Erik, I will need a dance partner! Chuck won't dance either! :rotfl: :rotfl: :cheer2:

:cool1: :confused3 What is it with these guys not dancing.. Well the girls will have fun anyway... with the kids..

Im on the list ready to go and have started to count the days. This is my firstt long cruise and I cant wait. All those days to explore.

Im also travelling with my husband, my mum, dad and my sister which is always cool as its great to spend quality time with the family.

Lindsay

 how cute are you being! Anyone would think you liked us!

The 11 night cruise didn't adverise the pins but had them on there.
They had a thing where each stateroom could buy 2 of the pins so that way there was no problem with not being enough and you just had to go down one day to get them. It was really easy so hopefully not as caotic as the panama canal one (got told about it on last cruise! Sounds like hell)
