Hi all!
My DD24 called to tell me she was getting a private tour of the guest room in the castle today! Color Me GREEN!:rotfl: :rotfl: (as with envy)

She is a photographer in Orlando who's best friend "Emily" (you have seen her on the visa comercials where the song is "downtown" and the girl gets a makeover..that girl is emily.) And Emily's boyfriend is Lucas Grabeel from High School Musical. Anyway, Lucas and Emily are at WDW because he is filming a version of Battle of the Disney Stars thing and while he is filming, Emily and Courtney (DD) are getting a private tour. I told her she better have her camera and take tons of photos. She doesnt know if they will let them take pictures, but she will try.:wizard: :wizard:

Boy do I wish I was in Orlando today!

OK very very jealous right now! How cool for her.

Reference Starbucks.... nope but there is Cove Cafe , which has pretty good coffee, Lynn gets the foo foo stuff there, espresso for me. They do have a punch card and the 5th coffee drink is free.

For you new inducties into teh Grass Skirt Frat, if you are in full regalia, do see me at SailAWay for your membership card...

Hi everyone, Just got off the phone with Courtney hearing about her private tour of the castle in Magic Kingdom. She gave me all the scoop on how they choose familys/people to spend the night in the castle. This place is LOADED with special features. Like when your in the tub, the ceiling twinkles like a night sky!

Cant wait to see the photos!

Off to dream a Disney dream!

Sounds fab!

Good point. Maybe we should keep the ones we've got (aerospace engineer should pay pretty well shouldn't it?). As far as early retirenmnet, that's why we had them young (only half joking here). :rotfl2:

I do not have Harry Potter reserved. I always pick it up at Costco or BJs that first day and it works well for me:thumbsup2 . The best was when 4 came out and Hank and Jan were visiting and Dave had a trip to Chicago I was accompanying him on without the kids in tow. I had to be REALLY good and not read it on the weekend as it was the first time since Marika had been born Dave and I had that kind of alone time. But, on Monday he went to the convention and I stayed in the hotel ALL DAY, ordered room service for lunch and read the entire novel without interruptions:cloud9:

Do you think Marika would like Harry Potter more if Dave and I didn't insist on calling her Hermione??!!?? Kinda bugs her a bit, but OMG she is so that personality.:rotfl:

Well just preordered the 7th book on Amazon. Every year for the last 6 I've brought it as a pressie for my friend whos birthday is in June! What am I going to do next year????? :scared:

Travel Tip, which may have been mentioned before, sorry if it has, Make copies of your passport and stash them in a couple of different places, just incase you misplace yours during the the 15 minute "where's my passport checks" LOL

They also brew their own chai tea to make chai tea lattes and they taste almost as good as Starbucks ones

Took a quick

and watched the sun come up. Soon we we will head out to the March of Dimes walk.
This will be Belle's first charity walk. :dogdance:
If you ever get the chance to donate, please do. MOD does some wonderful things.:thumbsup2

Man, it's just 2 (long) weeks until the cruise.
The schoolboy heart in me is so anxious for this cruise. I will finally get to see "the Rock".
I remember seeing that thru my viewmaster as a kid and thinking that would be so neat to see in person.
Now, :rolleyes1 years later I will get the chance.
Also, it will be great meeting up with old friends and meeting new ones as well.

Everybody have a great day and a wonderful weekend. See ya in 2 weeks.

Wow I can't believe I'm caught up reading.

Rich P was was on the 11 nt. Sept cruise. Adult show was pretty funny.

I really like country music and I hope they have it on the Wonder. I think that it was Dana who sang it on the 11nt Sept cruise.

My daughter and our friend will be at the Banner Party today I wish I was going but I won't be in Orlando till the 11th.party: party:

Have a great day everyone.

Martha:dance3:

Maybe they will have both kinds of Music, Country...... and ....... Western:lmao: :lmao: A clasic Line from the first Blues Brothers movie when they were at Bob's Country Bunker:lmao:

The Banner Party should be fun wish we were closer, pictures and reports please...

Lots of chatter last night ya'll:)

Laura--did the play do you in? I was expecting for you to be up at the crack of dawn to write the much anticipated report:rotfl: You know it is the first thing I will be looking for when we get back to the house.

Busses--I am marveling at all these reports of waiting forever to get back to the resorts. We always use the busses and I can only think of two long waits ever (once was leaving a water park--seems busses do not go through them as often) and once was at AK mid day. The fastest bus times have been at peak times when they are ready too MOVE the crowds. Now, we did have the bad luck of getting caught right behind a bad traffic accident once on the way home from Downtown Disney. Nothing like having two sleeping kids and deciding to take standing room to get them back to the hotel and then ending up on the bus for 3 hours:scared: Actually it could have been much worse. We ended up sitting down in the floor and all the poeple on the bus were the make the best of it kind of guests instead of the yell and complain about uncontrollable events type. Someone started singing Christmas carols and we all had a nice sing along.

Hi All! One more day closer! :woohoo: :woohoo: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

I'm so excited I can't stand it. I hope I don't bore everyone at quilting today by talking endlessly about how much fun it's going to be on the cruise. The POC3 movie, 8 total days at sea, great ports of call.

I am so ready!

Lori:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :dance3:

Just stopping by to say "HI". I don't get here very much unfortunately.

So happy to see other Buffett fans. Bubble bubble bubble. We'll be at the concert here in Pittsburgh.

How about my father-in-law still doesn't have his passport. He's leaving tomorrow for LA and won't be back until the day before the cruise. So he is in the process of scheduling a time with the LA Passport office.

hi,

not to sound as an alarmist, however, i would be very proactive at this point..... i also tried to get to houston to make an apt for us and was refused (i leave at 6 am tomorrow) ..... not sure what state you are in, but get on the phone with your senators if you are unable to make an apt in la and please do not leave it until the last minute, in the event there is an "issue", give yourself an extra day or two. i went through the same hell as laura and texasaggiemom -- however, my senators did get it sorted within six hours, it was in my hot little hands, within 48 hours, without additional charges.

if he doesn't have his passport, dcl will deny him boarding (by law), travelers insurance, dcl, airlines will NOT reimburse due to an unissued passport, but most importantly, he'll miss the trip of a lifetime with his family.

you are in my thoughts and prayers... the situation with my grandson's passport truly robbed me of the joy and anticipation in planning this cruise. (and the planning and anticipation is half the fun for me!).

concerned,
bettie
