Finally got our tree up this afternoon. It is the latest I have ever been and I have not been happy about that.

Just have 2 small presents to buy now and some to wrap and then that is it!!

depends on how bad they want to get rid of it! we took any price people offered us for the appliances we were selling recently. I just wanted a few bucks from them and wanted them out of my garage! Also depends on the price, we took 50.00 for something I had listed at 75. I would say that was a fair offer. HTH

We so want to do this again. They really spin the boat round. You can book it for Illuminations too, but the ride before isn't as long. Our friends had booked that and wanted more, so booked it again for the daytime.

I'd offer 10-15% less, may even less than that. Test the waters but don't insult them.

I've been trying to catch up. First, welcome Matt! I just started posting so better late than never. This is a great group and it will be a lot of fun knowing so many people when we board.
Noel- Have a wonderful time !! We leave for WDW on Monday so I know how your feeling. We're going through Disney withdrawal and need a fix so we can't wait.

Holly Sorry you are still having problem's with Tyler's behavior.He is so lucky to have such a great mom though.

Not so. I've been the world's worst mom these past couple days because I just lost control and have been angry and yelling and just not nice to him. I know those are the worst things in the world to do, so that makes me feel awful, but I just ran out of patience. It just got him more upset and I lost count of how many times each day he screamed, "I hate you!" or "I wish I could go live with my dad forever!" or "I wish I never had to see you ever again!" I ignored each such comment of course.

Holly - I really don't know why kids say this type of thing to their parents other than to let them know that they are upset too. My nephew says this alot to my sister (but never to his stepdad)....I know Ian's always looking for Lisa to reassure him that she loves him and that she will be there for him no matter what. Just reassure Tyler that you love him (which I know you do and have done), and that no matter what is going on that you will be there for him. I'm sure he's scared too, and is looking at you to know that things are ok.

BTW we KNOW you're a great mom!

You are not the world's worst mom! You're the best! When I look back to how I was when mine were little I cringe!

One of our grandson's(age 9) has mild Aspergers and some of the behaviour is very similar to Tyler's. He can't cope with change, change to routine that has been planned etc. It has taken a long long time for his dad to accept it isn't all bad behaviour, his mum had accepted he was different and worked with him well, but it was getting worse. We had noticed many years ago some more odd behaviour such as he had to go on a certain route to school and touch certain things or he threw a paddy or wouldn't move! A couple of months ago they received a letter from school saying he had been naughty in a maths class. Apparently he just wouldn't do the work and wouldn't say why. The teacher got cross. Joel just said he didn't know what to say to her as he didn't understand and wasn't being naughty. Last year's teacher understood him more, but this one was a new. The other week his mum tidied up his bedroom and he came home and tipped everything out and made it a mess again! They have had a few meetings at school and hopefully they have a few things in place to help him and the teachers. He isn't bad enough at all to receive extra help, which is good and bad. They are beginning to worry about the change of school in 2 years though.

I must say, I HATE working in retail this time of year, I'm exhausted I manage a cash office so I don't even get the joy of sharing the excitement of our shoppers (okay, unfortunately it's getting to be more and more the frustration of the shoppers ) Our hours of business have been extended so I am either getting home at midnight or later, or starting work at 6:00 AM so getting out of bed at 4:30. My shifts change daily so at this point I don't think my body knows what time of day it is, I had to get up early today and just could not sleep last night. I'm glad I can sleep in tomorrow, but then I work late and then go in during the day the following day (but thankfully not at as early as 6:00 am ) I am so glad I booked Sunday off, although I don't think my manager was too happy. I did manage to get my tree up, shopping done, and will do my wrapping and some baking before I go in to work tomorrow.Can't believe there are only 4 more days until Christmas

It's absolutely insane for me to still be up, but I couldn't sleep. Can't shut my brain off. Gonna go read in bed now to help me fall asleep. I love how a good book can take my mind away from reality.

Hope you got some rest Holly. I always find that when I can't sleep, and so start reading, that I keep nodding off. So I put the book down, but then I can't sleep again
