Well, since I put jalapenos or hot sauce on just about everything I eat, it will be perfect for me! :rotfl: I got an e-mail saying it was shipped today with FedEx. :goodvibes

I love salsa and hot sauce also so I am interested to see if you like the beer!!

That sounds so easy to keep up when living here and it being a dream, but the reality of living a real life takes over I guess!

Hope that goes well - you deserve to have a good time!

She is a professional meeter!!!:lmao: She is going to know everyone!
really, we take too much for granted.

where is all this news coming from?

I love salsa and hot sauce also so I am interested to see if you like the beer!!

I love hot and spicy! Just not beer!! That's what washes it down!

so we made it home....the CEO of the hospital and her hubby made an appearance....then we went to Gecko's for dinner.

from page 2559
After two days of me and John in tears and our heads exploding....I knew I had to do something. I was going to be the better person. I invited Joe and Sandi to our house to watch the Dallas game. Joe is a huge fan and it was only playing on the West Coast. He didn't get the game on cable but I got it on DirecTV. I told him that me and John will listen to their side of things and get their perspective. I know that nothing is black and white, all things are shades of gray and we needed to communicate and compromise. We heard them out and came to an understanding then watched the game together and Dallas won.

I want to thank all of you here for being so supportive, it means a lot to me. Noel, I totally agree with everything you said. I think you hit the nail on the head precisely. But I couldn't allow John to lose his daughter. They are my family too and I love Sandi and the boys. And as John says, love me, love my dog. We have to tolerate and accept Joe for Sandi's sake. She loves him. If they say they're happy together then we have to let them live their life on their terms even if we disagree.

I do feel much better now, so does John. We didn't agree with everything they said, we didn't tell them any lies, but we agreed to disagree and be more accepting of each other.

So all's well that ends well afterall. Now they can move, I think after next weekend, and we can put some space between us while leaving on a good note. It means the world to me that we came to an understanding. My mother always told me....I know all of your strengths and all of your weaknesses and I love you unconditionally despite everything. That's what we accomplished today and it feels right.

Thank you again everybody. It was what I needed to hear at a very desperate moment. It gave me strength and enouragement to try and make it right.

I am SO glad to hear this! You did good!

Hello everyone,
The cruise sounds really appealing right now while we are waiting to see how big of a storm we will be getting in the next few days.
Gydell...how do you get all the info you have. You seem to have the scoop on things.:)
disneylover5..hope your DFIL is doing better. As a nurse, I can tell you that it's not uncommon for pts to look worse after surgery. And all the tubes and wires can be frightening, but often patients don't even remember the part right after surgery.:grouphug: to all of your family. BTW, my DH and I are in Chantilly this weekend for the Gem and jewelry show at the Dulles Expo Center--I would have asked if you were interested in attending the show with us..but obviously you are already overloaded with things going on. Hope the weather isn't going to be as bad as they say..we are supposed to go bck to Roanoke on Sunday...Vicki

Hi back from the hospital.

Frank is the same. I took a picture of the machine that gives him all of the meds, so I can show him when he gets better. I tried to count how many tubes and there were just too many. Below is the machine.

Tomorrow, they are going to decide if they can try and start to wean him off of the artifical heart. We will know something in the morning.

We are supposed to get an ice/snow storm tomorrow night.

Thanks for the info....yes all the tubes can be overwhelming.

We live so very close to the Expo Center and lots of my firends are going to the Gem show.

Right now, it is just me and my oldest child cruising together. Daniel is at VA Tech. Well, he came home yesterday and starts back to work at Chick-Fil-A which is in the parking lot of the Expo Center. Tomorrow night he works 4 till close......so if you go into Chick-Fil-A during those hours, say hi to Daniel!!

Weather does not look to good here.......Saturday evening and all day Sunday

I added the special evenings to the Shipboard page of the website.

Any newbies to the thread/cruise who are interested in the website, please PM me for the address and password.

so who is going to Parrot Cay upon boarding?

ME!

Not me....BBCs at the pool....no kids here so we get to go to the adult pool, which is empty upon boarding.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

And I'll be with you...right AFTER lunch!

Hi all!!

We are a DCL-loving family of 5 from southern California. :wizard:

We were lucky enough to be on the inaugural crossing and just couldn't pass up the chance to do it again. :cool1:

We just got off the Magic (well two weeks ago) and we had rebooked a "dummy" reservation, just waiting to transfer to this cruise once it opened up. :thumbsup2

We have two rooms on guarantee and I will be working hard to get connecting rooms (of any category). :surfweb:

I have 2600 (!!!) pages to catch up on. Hope to "meet" everyone and join the fun. :dance3:

:tinker: Karen

Welcome Karen....don't worry about catching up....just jump in! Looks like some folks booked recently that I haven't said "hi" to. So :welcome: to the newbies and lurkers!

I can't begin to tell you how many BBCs I had on my three day...I had more cocktails this cruise than on my 7 day! :scared1: First afternoon on board the bartender at Signals DIDN"T HAVE ANY BANANAS!! We immediately rectified that situation by a quick trot over to Goofy's for a supply ::yes:: Other than tips, the only charges on my accunt were adult beverages...I was buying rounds like a wild woman. Unfortunately, this is a behaviour I will not be able to maintain for THIS cruise, after all....I only have $600 in OBC! :lmao:

OK...still got about 7 pages to catch up on, but I'm tired, hungry and craving pot roast...think I'll mosey to Mimi's Cafe for some 'home cooking' ;)

We'll be there. Love the chilled mango soup.

Woody

Woody, they had the chilled Strawberry soup upon boarding last week....couldn't get the Mango till the first night at Parrot Cay!

HEY...they have a new debarkation breakfast menue. Marilyn's group was the first to try it, and we were the second. You can now get eggs cooked to order....which I think is the reason breakfast took an HOUR. We didn't leave breakfast till 9AM AND there was a line/delay getting off the ship. I don't know if anything else was going on to impact debarkation, but I was used to it being an easy walk off at that time of morning before. :confused3

Thanks Gydell! This is great info!! I had guessed on when they'd be and I was right for all but pirate night and the 2nd formal night.

Aruba - Snuba and maybe something else...not sure, need to do research w/ times (only non DCL excursion) Jackie---let me know if you still want to join me!

)

Yes, I am very inclined to participate in this adventure.::yes::

CHILI BEER....ok that picture now makes me want to go to The Satsified Frog in Cave Creek for some fried chicken. Hey GATORFAMILY....I think we need a meet in Cave Creek next...wadda ya say?

Now I'm REALLY leaving the office and hunting down food.

Tomorrow is our Holiday party and I've got my fingers crossed for a 'little something' in an envelope...here's hoping!

Ooooooooh! Formal ballroom under the stars sounds SO PRETTY! :cloud9:

We can hang them from the sides! I'll bring clothespins and shoes and undies can go under the seats. We can always share clothes so we don't have to bring so many!
Friends don't let friends share undies. :rotfl:

ME!

think I'll mosey to Mimi's Cafe for some 'home cooking' ;)

In CA.... by HoJo's and DL??

I loved Mimi's - they taught me to mix champagne and cranberry juice- I think they called it a Hibiscus - very nice. They also made the best orange marmalade and cream cheese stuffed french toast.
