May 10, 2008 Ship of Thieves! Stealing the Magic..AGAIN!!! Panama Canal FL to CA!!! Part 9

I think we may actually get to go on this cruise. We were going to cancel (oops, forgot to call) and went on the Halloween cruise instead. DH kept saying he could handle 2 weeks but didn't think he had the vacation time. This morning he said he added up all his carryover and days for next year and we were going to Panama! Then he asked if this was the reservation with a verandah (nope)...

We're baaaaack.....

I'm so disappointed right now because my boss will not guarantee that I can have the two weeks off for the cruise I told him I need to know by Feb 10th, but the wait will kill me I think. Now, I also don't know what to do about booking flights etc! So bummed.

Hi Melissa, how aweful! Now you have to wait. I would be his best buddy....your boss....for the next few months. Maybe he'll give you his answer earlier.

We are thinking of going to the Space Center on Friday. But it will depend on what time we get in. We are staying at the Radission Friday night. There are a bunch of us at the port going to Grill's for dinner on Friday night - I hope I got the restaurant name right.

You got the name right Lisa....now we just have to find it again!

John decided we're flying, not driving so we're coming into Sanford and picking up a car and driving to the hotel. That kind of kills our day on Friday. Then getting to meet at Grills. Were we going to dinner on Fri night or Sat night? I thought we picked Sat night? Oh well....we can firm it up as days get closer.

Sat is mani and pedi and Ron Johns....our favorite store in Cocoa Beach.

Which Halloween cruise were you on? We were on the 4 night. Our grandkids made friends with a boy from Denver....I think his name was Alex. I have a pic of him dressed up for halloween, I'll post it. Wouldn't it be a small world indeed if that was your son!?!

Hi Deborah....a BBC is a Baileys Banana Colada....it's heavenly! It's so filling you could skip lunch!

We're going to see Sandi and Joe this weekend. John and I talked about it and I'm going to take his lead and keep my mouth shut for a change. He's going to be cordial and friendly to them both and tell Sandi how much he loves her and leave it at that. No lies!!!!

Angel is being such a bad girl lately. She keeps chasing Ella. Since it will only be four of us for Christmas dinner, John said maybe we'll go out to eat. Are places open on Christmas?

My friend Alison said that my daughter have full of beans!!

On Christmas day, surely some restaurant are opening like Hotel, also chinese take away available at tea time. My friend never like Turkey etc always have chinese take away on Xmas Day!

I love Turkey for Xmas day!! Special dinner for Xmas, just four of us as my friend still not sure to come or not, my brother got a new girlfriend and think not coming to our for Xmas. Oh well, just us more romance day!!

By the way, how far from Raddison to Grill?

It's not far, it's on the water near the port, but there's a lot of backroads and turns when you get near the port. We'll have a car rental, so will Lisa and Darrell and they're staying at the Radisson. We can share a ride if you would like.

Sweetie, I have to go to Mrs. Bush's this afternoon to pay for Ray. I can't do it tomorrow coz the office will not be open and I have to sign more papers for him plus get the new amount due for the private room. I figured I'd leave here at 1pm....no snow yet so I should be ok getting back up the driveway.

I can't do it tomorrow coz the office will not be open and I have to sign more papers for him plus get the new amount due for the private room. Well, Scott and I spent all night (not really) on line looking at rental homes in the area and we are off to the Hood Canal for the weekend in a 3 bedroom log cabin on 10 acres. It isn't the Oregon Coast, but I am sure we will still have a blast and now the 3 dogs can come too (we have 2 and our friends have 1). So, no school for the kids and we get a weekend away!

Well, Scott and I spent all night (not really) on line looking at rental homes in the area and we are off to the Hood Canal for the weekend in a 3 bedroom log cabin on 10 acres. It isn't the Oregon Coast, but I am sure we will still have a blast and now the 3 dogs can come too (we have 2 and our friends have 1). So, no school for the kids and we get a weekend away!
