Everything is relative...in PA 30 miles is right down the road....so the mall is "right down the road" in Allentown, where your nephew is. I have been to that mall a number of times when I used to go to malls. Too close for my comfort.

Very scary!! I sent an email to my sister-in-law Terry to be sure no one Rob knows is hurt or anything!!

Watching a funny movie tonight: "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry"! TOO FUNNY!!!!!

No need to be shy around us....we all know each other so well already.

Have you considered joining us at Grills on Fri night before cruise?

Yes, we will come along to Grills, if you don't mind that 6 of us (4 adults and 2 kids).:thumbsup2 As Alison and Dave are hard of hearing but they speak very well than us but I am speaking too but my husband don't speak but he is very popular with people.

My kids swam in swim meets for years. If the meet started at 8:00 AM, we would always have to be there by 6:30 AM to set up the Ezy-Ups, tents and for the premeet warmup. If it was an away meet, we would have to travel down the night before and get the kids to bed early.

I think the reason they start the meets so early is so the kids can at least have some time to themselves in the afternoons on Saturday and Sunday. The kids would work out before the meet, sleep during the meet and eat like crazy!!

When they swim year round and for the school, gets even more complicated as workouts can start very early, like 5:30 AM. The kids started doing double workouts by the time they were about 10. Our lives were always filled with sports on the weekends, traveling to and from swim meets or other sporting events. Retirement is glorious!!!

This is all year round so it's at an indoor pool so at least we don't have to set up like for summer swimming. They let the 6 & unders swim first so we should be through by 10:30. This is my DGS so I am on my second go around!

YEAAAAAA!!!!!! Congratulations on another semister finished! Now it's time to celebrate!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
Thanks! But it's not as exciting as usual because I'm out of student loans and don't even have enough for next semester. So I'm sort of in limbo for a while. :sad2: I had a few meetings with the financial aid advisor, my academic advisor, and the registrar to discuss my options on how I'm going to pay to finish. They're allowing me to take a one year leave of absence while I try to figure out how I'll come up with the remaining $50,000 I'll need to finish. :scared:

Will you have a car to drive or will you be coming with us. We're renting a convertable and probably won't have room for all six of you. But Lisa and Darrell may be able to bring some of you in their car too. I think Kathe is also coming. We'll figure it out when we get there. I'm so glad you decided to come with us. We'll start our party early.

Well the link didn't work but go to the Vera Bradley web page. They usually go for more on E-bay than what you pay in the stores for them.
What is the head count for Grill's? How many kids?

Please let us know when she responds....just want to make sure everyone is alright.

Sure was nice to pay less than $3/gallon for gas! I paid $2.88 today....pleasant surprise!

Holly - did you ever work out all the details so that you can still go on this cruise? How's it coming with the ex? I'm being nosey tonight so feel free to tell me MYOB!

I'm so sorry to hear that. Ya know, I saw a commercial on TV about a bank that gives personal loans for college tuitions. So the terms were more lienant. I can't remember the name, I think it may have been Chase, but don't hold me to that. You could borrow up to $50k or $100k I don't remember. If I see it again, I'll take down the info for you. It just might be another option for you.

Also, does your job have any kind of reimbursement program. I used to work for a company that would reimburse you after each semester because you needed a C or better to get reimbursed. Maybe you could talk to them.

Just a few thoughts. I hope it all works out for you. I know how much you want to be finished.

Sending prayers and pixie dust your way that something will work out for you.

Oh, we're coming on the cruise for sure. :goodvibes I thought I was going to have to cancel to get my deposit back to put on a major bill, but I found other ways to take care of things. And Tyler's dad did give me a check 2 days ago for what he owed me. He had been waiting for his Christmas bonus to cover that expense. So everything's good!

So far it's me and John, Lisa and Darrell, Kathe, Deborah and family which includes two kids. You're staying in the neighborhood too aren't you? Would you like to join us all as well? I say, the more the merrier!

Thanks Deb!

My employer doesn't offer anything like that. They're a very small law firm and very stingy. The only reason I continue to work there is because of how flexible they are with my schedule.

I have applied at a couple of those type of banks for my student loans, but was turned down. Bad credit....long story. Been struggling to repair my credit for many years.

Something will work out. The school suggested I just take time to work a couple jobs, work as many hours as possible, pay down my current student loans to free up enough balance to continue, so that's what I'm going to try to do.
