7am is early considering we live on the other side of Atlanta and with traffic we will need to leave around 4:45 or 5am. If we didn't have a 6yo then it would be ok. I'm sure he will be fine, it will be the adults around 5pm when the whining starts that I'm worried about!
Great news and yes, great people on this thread!
Glad that you are still going on the trip!

Maybe you can get him down for a quick power nap in the afternoon. I know my kids always slept in the car and slept on the plane. Half the time, if the drive was over 15 minutes, they would fall asleep in the car at that age.
I really am too! I am still holding it over her head as leverage though LOL She has only said once that she didnt want to go to therapy and I started with the possibility of not going and she was dressed, teeth brushed and at the door in 5 min so it works !!!
And now that Tyler " her michigan bf" is going, that has made it even easier to get her moving !
He never sleeps once he's up! We had a 10 hour flight and he never closed his eyes. Maybe if we swim that day he will go to bed early. I can hope, and it is still early so maybe my flight will change.
My kids were cat nappers, doing short power naps, then were up and raring to go. We traveled with the kids a great deal since they were little and they had to learn to sleep when they could or they would miss fun stuff later!!
You and Holly should share a room!
I would have no problem with that, Holly and I get along great but DH will be in the room too so not sure how she would feel about that. I told her that definitly Tyler can have a sleepover with us a few nights or so so she can have some vacation time to herself or sleep in if she wanted too. We love Tyler and everyone that meets him will too.
My daughter is VERY excited that her "dance partner" will be making it as she was afraid without Tyler there would be no dancing !![]()
Well Deb and Grumpy John should have set sail now.![]()
Let's hope they have an ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS cruise!!
I do hope so. they have had a difficult year.
Yes, it has been a difficult year for them. However, Deb has always been so upbeat and positive. She seems to be the type of person who takes lemons and makes lemonade. I can't wait to meet them!!
