Well, I am housebound till the puddings are done - about 4pm our time - 12md yours. I have ironing to do like Deborah and could do with taking this opportunity to check things for our hols in 26 days!!! You know what it is like - first aid/tablets, toiletries, jewellery, documents etc.

Deborah - I like Donny, but I am just out of the generation which loved him. How great for you to get so close to your idol. The photo loogs great.

There is always too much mixture for two big puddings, so I make a small one extra. I usually never gets eaten as we are on diets after Christmas and then it gets forgotten!!!!

Shame you have housework to do. Better to sit and think back to your concert!

Hey, this is getting near the bottom of the page! Been a while since that happened.

Small pudding is ready. Parkin out of the oven. The parkin will be nice and sticky in a couple of days.

V- I was WDW for 4 days and took 545 pics. However some of those were for my stock photos. If I get my new camera I want for christmas. I plan on buying at least 4 gigs worth of memory for our cruise. On our 10 night cruise I took over 900 pictures.

Holly- I love your avator. I felt so special when I saw it. I am so glad you liked it. I am just starting to learn how to use photoshop and need to buy a book. It is fun!

:grouphug: - For anyone who needs them.

I hope everyone on vacation is having a great time.

Scotishwee- My mom's friend taught here baby sign language. When she was to young to talk instead of crying or saying "uh uh uh", She signed what she wanted. It was really neat to see someone so young. I hope to do that with my kids someday.

Hi

You should use that as it is very easy for basic sign languages with babies.

I have heard lots of people doing the sign language with baby to help communication or less frustrated. Same with my daughter when she was baby and I was told that she is profoundly deaf when she was 5 days old. So we sign to her as she start to sign very early stage to sign with us and she had no speech until two and half. After hard decision that we decided to give her to have the cochlear implant. After six months, she start to talking with voice. Amazing. Now she is talking more and can sign to deaf people and can speak to hearing people. Amazing is it.

When we went on the Disney Cruise last summer at Med. Brian the interpreter from USA and told us that he never see deaf child with cochlear implant with deaf family. Yes, he was right because mostly hearing family with deaf child who have cochlear implant.

Lot of deaf people are against cochlear implant!! I know everybody are different. We felt that it was right decision to give my daughter for her benefit for her future.

What is a parkin?

Might save money, but I'm not sure we'd all fit -- there would be 5 of us. PLUS, the adults would NEVER get any sleep because the kids would stay up all night from excitement!

I'm a really light sleeper anyway and the sound of anybody rolling over wakes me up.

HOWEVER, Tyler did ask me if we're staying in the same room with them and when I told him we wouldn't all fit, he asked, "Remember that really big room with 2 bedroom and a bunch of other rooms we had a party in last time? Why can't we just get that room?" He's referring to the Roy where we had a big DIS party in Sept. '06. I had to tell him there are only 2 that big on the ship and that somebody's already in those!

We could act like real pirates and boot them out!!:rotfl:

What is a parkin?

Sorry, just keep forgetting these differences.

On November 5th we sort of celebrate Bonfire's Night. Here is a link about it.

http://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/customs/guy/england.htm

We traditionally eat foods like pie and mushy peas, jacket potatoes(used to be cooked in base of bonfire) bonfire toffee, and parkin.

Different recipes and versions, but basically a sticky cake of oatmeal, sugar, golden syrup, ginger, eggs and flour. Always best eaten a few days after being made as it gets stickier. Here is one of the many many recipes

Our town does a great firework display followed by a huge bonfire. Most of our family are coming to see it.

Throughout the country either these huge organised events or thousands of backyard bonfires and fireworks take place on and around the 5th November. It is one of those 'celebrations' that has really lost it's beginnings and has just become a good time.

Nice article. Now I understand!

Some people make it like gingerbread, but we prefer less ginger and more oats/stickiness.

Hi ibouncetoo

What a great picture.

He is gergous guy!! I was pleased to see him on front stage and got lots of photo. Let me know if you want to see it. Send me private and give me your home email as I will send it to you with make it up like slidephoto, etc. okay:thumbsup2

Scottishwee35:thumbsup2

He really is still a cutie! I'm glad you had such a good time! :woohoo:

Hi all...
Great pictures everyone!
Holly, you and Tyler look great in those shots.
V, looks like you had another great trip to the world! Don't you just love the back entrance to Epcot from BCV/BW? We always tend to find characters there with no one else around and then they'll play with the kids more!
Gydell, very handsome grandson!
Scottishwee, Donny still looks pretty good! Thanks for sharing.

Hannah Montana is in concert here tonight, tickets are currently being sold for about 500.00 each! :scared1: We saw her open for the Cheetah Girls a year ago and the girls got to meet Miley, so we aren't going tonight, but boy that girl sure is the new "thing"!

Hope everyone has a great week. Can't wait to see more vacation pics from everyone!
