May 10, 2008 Ship of Thieves! Stealing the Magic..AGAIN!!! Panama Canal FL to CA!!! Part 8

We just got back from a delicious meal at my sisters. Tri-tip, walnut-cranberry salad, baby potatoes with cheese and bacon, bean salad, crab stuffed mushroom. Yummy! The kids decorated gingerbread haunted houses and ran around in their costumes. We don't see their cousins on Halloween so it is fun to see everyone's costume. My parents came dressed up as Indians. They have those costumes since I was little so it was fun to see them dressed up in them. I'm taking Halloween off of work to see the kids at their parade. Also, my son in preschool will be having a morning party that I want to attend. Next Friday, DH is hosting a different auction event. This one is called "Boys Night Out." Hmmm....so they play poker and drink into the wee hours. DH doesn't drink so I'm not quite sure how he ended up being in this group! Last year, he was a part of this group as well and came back with some funny stories. Just with a title of "Boys Night Out" you know it is going to be somewhat crazy. At least they didn't get the Hooter waitresses to serve drinks at the party as some wanted.

Maybe you can get him down for a quick power nap in the afternoon. I know my kids always slept in the car and slept on the plane. Half the time, if the drive was over 15 minutes, they would fall asleep in the car at that age.

Oh, you were lucky! Tyler almost never falls asleep traveling anymore. Even if we start at 5am. His excitement keeps him awake ALL day and gets super whiny around 4 or 5pm. No way to avoid it though. Last 3 trips we took, we left at 5am and I was sure he'd fall asleep on the way, whether it was driving or flying. Now I know not to expect that from him. He's always been one who doesn't sleep much. Must get that from his dad because his dad only needs 4-5 hours of sleep a night. That's insane! If I get less than 8 I'm miserable!

Might save money, but I'm not sure we'd all fit -- there would be 5 of us. PLUS, the adults would NEVER get any sleep because the kids would stay up all night from excitement!

I'm a really light sleeper anyway and the sound of anybody rolling over wakes me up.

HOWEVER, Tyler did ask me if we're staying in the same room with them and when I told him we wouldn't all fit, he asked, "Remember that really big room with 2 bedroom and a bunch of other rooms we had a party in last time? Why can't we just get that room?" He's referring to the Roy where we had a big DIS party in Sept. '06. I had to tell him there are only 2 that big on the ship and that somebody's already in those!

Busy day! Church, then cleaned the kitchen, made pumpkin drop cookies with Tyler. Have pics to post later....too sleep now. Then my mom came to town for a couple hours visit. Laundry. Dinner. Seems like it was bedtime right after dinner. Not sure where all the time went.

I've been having trouble staying awake, so I fell asleep in Tyler's bed at 7:30pm!!!!!! We always do his bedtime books on the couch, then move to his bed to lie there while we talk about our day and do bedtime songs. Well, I fell asleep while he was talking about stuff and felt horrible about it because he KNEW I fell asleep on him! He said, "Mom? Are you SLEEPING when I'm talking to you?!" I told him no, and that I was listening. I remember telling him I just needed to warm up under one of his blankets before I climbed down. And that's the last thing I remember until I woke up at 3:30am to go to the bathroom!

So, checking here before going to put my pajamas on and heading to my own bed. For less than 3 more hours.

Sorry about those Gators. And those Trojans , but my Griz are doing well. Undefeated so far. Gives me something to fall back on, even if they are 1 division down. My Dad was a staunch Grizzly fan. Not long before he died I got to take him to tha Griz vs Beaver game. The Griz won that one, even tho' the Big Sky was Playing PAC 10. He was so excited. He had a long hard fight with Esophageal Cancer. I think that game alone gave him an extra year...

Good Morning

I had a fantastic times at Donny Osmond's Live Concert at Clyde, Glasgow last Saturday night.

I was sitting on 4th row but allowed to stand up at front stage, wow it made my day lol!! My friend and I were so lucky as it only allowed people to stand up between row 1 to row 5 that is!!

My friend and I were dancing, singing then Donny Osmond turn around to see us we were using BSL (Bristish Sign Laugagues) sign ILY (I love you). Yes, he signed back to us ILY. Ohhh , we were so exciting lol.
