This was our balcony. I have to say it was so quiet and peacful. We never saw anyone else out there at all!

This was at Epcot on Friday. The morning wasn't too bad but we made our way back to the resort around 6ish I think and the lines and crowds around the world were huge!

IMG_6364.jpg

Mofungo and a Presidente beer (the beer --- yuck! I threw it out)

IMG_6366.jpg

greek salad - was great although there was hardly any dressing!

we met up with John, Amy and Sophia that morning. And around 2 we met PJ in Mexico and GinaMarie soon came along as well.
IMG_6368.jpg

Sophia and the girls coloring at the Pear Pavilion while the John's went to a beer "seminar".
I have hardly any more pics the rest of the trip....when we left Epcot I had promised Samantha and Haley they could pick one thing out so we went into a very crowded store!

Saturday morning we had breakfast at Boma with John, Amy, Sophia, Monica and Kathy. It was so nice to put faces to names!!
Thanks so much everyone for all the gifts...you guys are all too kind! I know my camera was needing batteries so we only got one picture but hopefully everyone else will post theirs. I also want to hear about the Party for the Senses!

V, your pictures are just wonderful and your girls adorable. I keep showing them to John!!!

Deb - Glad to hear about your legs. Hope john is feeling better this morning. Have a great cruise!

V - glad you had a good time. The pixs are great! Sorry about your team.

And finally - we are bowl eligible! It wasn't pretty but we did it!

V, really enjoyed your pictures this morning, thanks for posting!

....for some strange reason I want to get our some coloring books and crayons now! Yes, I have some...50+ years old and no kids...still love to 'color'. It's great therapy and a lot easier to set up and clean up than dragging out a mess of craft supplies ::yes::

.

We got to Barnstormer anxious to see if Haley was tall enough. The CM said nope and she was about to sit on the ground and cry when John said can we see again? Her head was fluch with the wooden bar....yeah! Haley's first Roller Coaster!
IMG_6334.jpg

They gave her a special card at the end that said first time roller coaster rider. It was pretty neat...we did wait 20-30 minutes for that ride which is a first, but we had too!!

Alright, Haley!! :woohoo:

I didn't get to pictures at 50;s primetime until dessert! We had very nice neighbors who were from California and they were telling us all about DL!
/QUOTE]

Ah, the cousins from California! We sat by the cousins from Texas one year. They were a hoot! ;) Love Prime Time

One of the first things Dennis and I bought after we got married was a coloring book and crayons! :) The big, bad soldier could color pretty good! :lmao:

Amy and John will be able to verify John's love of coloring. He is the one who really wants to stop and color. Yesterday after breakfast he was on the floor at Animal Kingdom Lodge doing the rub drawings......:confused3 I think he didn't get to play as a child.

we really did have a good time and I seem to have lost my stuffiness/cold. Maybe I am allergic to work?

I have been watching Lifetime Movies all morning...wow, some creepy stuff going on. The girls are playing with their new dolls they got at Disney.

I am waiting on John to get home. He worked until 10:30 last night and had to go in today and of course 2 people call in and one was 2 1.2 hours late. What is wrong with people today? I know I need my job --- these people just seem to not care at all. It's hard to find people who care about doing a good job and who are dependable.

It's hard to believe that it is almost November! This year has really flown by. Before you know it, it will be May and we will all be frantically packing!!

How much memory do you think the average DIS'er will go through (camera wise)? I have a 2gb and 2 1gb's....I think that should be enough don't you think?

V-love the pics - love the Halloween outfits too!

I am 300 pages and a month behind but trying to read the posts.
Welcome aboard!!
We used to live on the north side of Bethlehem--right off the Nazareth Pike!
Jan :earsgirl:

I'm from Langhorne originally!!!

Way behind on posting!! Sorry, for missing Holly in my poster count. I just assumed she would be posting later yesterday.

V, I just love all the pictures. You guys look like you are having a blast!! Wish we were there!!

I was showing them to DH and he mentioned that V sure looks like a MUCH younger version of his sister Terry. I thought I would post a pic of her, her DD Ashley and son Erik (football player at Colorado State) for comparison.

Oh do enjoy that, it sounds very interesting.

Sorry about your bad luck with DirecTV. :sad2: But the Chinatown evening sounds so fun! Enjoy and post pics please!

I haven't eaten at Tommy Toy's in years. Last time we were in Chinatown we went to a banquet at the Empress of China. For those of you our there who are not familar with San Francisco, here are both restaurants.

Have a wonderful time!!
Thanks for all the good wishes! The walking tour was amazing. Been to places in Chinatown I didn't know existed. Saw where the gambling use to take place, heard lots of spooky stories. Our tour guide was on Conan O'Brien - it is the clip labeled "SF Part 2". http://www.nbc.com/Late_Night_with_Conan_O'Brien/travels/sanfrancisco_video.shtml Here is her website

The food was great at Tommy Toys, although I'd like our selection of food better when we went for my Dad's 70th birthday.
John1 too, though I can't remember if he is at DL or WDW.:confused3 What a lucky guy!!!:lmao:

Almost bed time here. We are going out for a late lunch tomorrow to a Carvery. Do you know what that is?

They have fresh roast meats and chefs carve from the joints for you there and then, and then you fill your plate with Yorkshire puddings and all types of vegetables. Yummy, my favourite meal I think.

I went to this restaurant a few weeks ago and the veggies were carrots, mashed carrots and swede, red cabbage(gorgeous, slow cooked with apple and onion) white cabbage, cauliflower cheese, creamed leeks, green beans, courgettes in tomato sauce, parsnips, roast and new potatoes. Meats that day were beef, pork and lamb. Usually they have a whole turkey, so I did miss that.

Oh, and the desserts were to die for.
It is always interesting to hear about your food!

Oooooh.....the food at both places looks wonderful! YUMMY!!!!
I want to try the Empress of China!

Very windy, cold and dark today. I didn't miss much by staying in on the couch all day (except for grocery shopping a little while ago). If it stays the same tomorrow, it will be nice to stay in and make cookies! :goodvibes I think tonight we'll clean the kitchen & bathroom, tomorrow (after church & before my mom comes) we'll do the living room & Tyler's bedroom. Then it's COOKIE TIME! Should be fun! I just bought all the ingredients and Tyler will be so excited to see everything ready for action.

I've been craving Taco Bell all day, but was too lazy to go anywhere, so I'll probably hit the drivethrough on the way home from picking Tyler up. Yummy! Chili cheese nachos bel grande and cinnamon twists will be in my belly soon! :rotfl2:
hmmm...Taco Bell sounds great! DH on his way now to get some!

:rotfl: Tyler's bringing his best sword to give to Bethany because hers broke when we were there in June. I thought he was the one who broke it, but he says she was pretending the metal bed was a log cabin (or something else wooden) and she smacked it against the bed and it broke. So he wants to make sure she has one for pirate night on the cruise! :lmao:

OH MY GOSH! The kid has MAJOR planning OCD!!!!

I wonder where he gets it!

Woody
So glad it has worked out that Tyler is coming! So funny about his OCD with planning the cruise!

Our first cheers tonight at Grills was the fact that I was dressed and out without a bandage wrap on either of my legs for the first time since early summer. WOW! The last of it came off today and underneath is all new skin and no yuckie stuff. The surface is clean and dry and healed. This is such great timing coz now I can use the pool and the hot tub....no open wounds. I'm ecstatic!

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
YEAH!! Have a wonderful time. So glad to hear John is feeling better.

Hi everybody...my brother was married today anf /gretchen was the flower girl....so cute!!
Lisa
Congrats! When you have time, post some details! Lisa

It sure is quiet. Off to my sister's for a Halloween party! Lisa

Just booked our flights to Orlando, but I am not thrilled with the time. They are free tickets so I was afraid that there would be no seats using a voucher if I didn't book them. Friday flights to Orlando don't show up too often with a voucher. I am allowed 1 free change so hopefully something will open up!
