Of course I don't mind......I was actually considering asking if anybody here could do such a thing. You just read my mind!

Do you know where Tom lives...or his last name? With my DH being a minister we know so many people....we are very active in the community. When I moved to Centreville in 1980 (I was single) there was 1 elementary school with 800 kids.....today there are 10 elementary schools and each one has at least 1,000 children each.....it has just exploded here. We are just close enough to DC to commute....but not in the city......It really is a pretty nice town with lots of nice people

We now have 3 Costco's here....all very close, I could almost walk to all 3....

Lots of guns in VA....we have a consealed (sp?) permit to carry......

Can't remember the street name. Remember exciting the freeway following the street and then make a right turn. Can't turn left because there is/was a church there. Very nice neighborhood, huge brick homes. His last name starts with a "J". Don't know if I should say more than that. At the time he was head of the explosives division of a certain federal investigative group. Hence the huge gun fault in his basement. His big joke was that what was in his basement was more valuable than his home. He had a very large, nice home! He has never married. We lived in DC in 1996-1997. We actually thought of moving to Centreville because we liked it so much better than where we were (Upper Marlboro). I was stationed at Andrews AFB and the drive would have been horrific. Nothing like the Beltway!

Hmmmm......very strange. I just now noticed that I put a certain article of clothing on inside out this morning, but I didn't notice it ALL day long until now! Fortunately, it's not something anybody will see! Anybody else ever do this? And why did I NOT notice this until after 3 beers?!

I have some very, very bad news about this cruise. My co-cruiser Cindy has to cancel. So I have to e-mail All Seasons and let them know. The bad part is that I'm pretty sure I can't just cancel a person and think they'll make me just cancel the whole reservation. Does anybody know? I completely understand her reasons and have absolutely no complaints about it. It's totally not her fault, so that's not the issue. Maybe I can just replace her with somebody else. Are there any solo cruisers who'd like to take her spot in my room? It's only a Cat. 12 because that's all that was available when we booked.

If so, you might want to just give her the deposit back and keep her name on the reservation until you find someone else? I know you were totally looking forward to an adult only trip...but we'd love to meet Tyler! I have their ages listed wrong on the front page....I don't know what I was thinking....Molly is 10 and will be ATOC and Wilson turns 8 in Feb '08. And oh yeah they are coming, they are my reason for taking the cruise!!!!!

I look forward to Pumpkin pictures every year. I shop the sales after the season for the next years shirts...yes they usually have matching shirts or complimenting at least. I love the red hair and orange clothes on them....they not so much....I'm a mean mom I make them do these every year.

So we are having a hard night tonight over the tooth fairy. Seems Mister Wilson believes she doesn't exists. Nor the Halloween Witch nor Santa Claus. very sad....you must believe to receive.

The Halloween Witch comes to your house on Halloween night and gathers all the sacrificed candy and exchanges it for a gift (Nintendo chip, mini AG doll on this list for this year) Our friend came up with this idea a few years back, we started it last year and it worked great. The kids get to keep x number of pieces (same as years old) then the rest of the candy...out!!!! (okay it moves to dad's office) and saves us the candy yuck over the next few weeks.

What a clever idea to use the Halloween Witch!!

I had my kids convinced for years that the Great Pumpkin (think Charley Brown) took all the candy back for next Halloween at midnight so they needed to choose a few special pieces to save. All the rest of the candy went into the trash to keep the parents from temptation!!

I would call All Seasons tomorrow morning (they're open half day on Saturday!) to let them know what happened and to see what they recommend. If there is a way to handle this properly, they either will know or will find out. We have been extremely pleased with All Season's service over the years.

Nan, great photos of the pumpkin kids!! They look so happy and relaxed.

Another one - very sad photo of last year when we left the Wonder Disney Cruise and my mil and I got lump of our throat when my son started crying. We know that he had a great times. He won the coolest boy in the club!!

But this year he didn't crying because I told him that we are coming back to Panama Canal, he was so happy but he was bit upset at airport.

I feel so sad for him really, but it is so funny. It does sum up a lot of people's feelings at the end of the cruise though.

YEAAAAA!!!!!! We're in Cocoa Beach. Two days of chill and pamper at the ocean....then onto the Wonder.....yes, I'll be in 5122...my home!

The car ride took 16 hours....not bad. We stopped in Jacksonville and had breakfast with my brother. It was good to see him in his element and not at mom's house.

I found out I could read in the van but not type....I couldn't let go of the laptop....I had to hold it...no hands for typing. Now we're in the hotel and I have a desk to work with....much easier.

Tomorrow morning me and Sandi are doing manis and pedis then John and I will shop for trick or treat gifts and a bag to hold my loot. I'm wearing a cosutme so I get to trick or treat as well. Then we'll go to Ron Jons like we always do and always find something to buy. Dinner will be at the Grill on Sat night while waving to PJ as she leaves the port. Then me and John get really excited coz it'll only be a wake up and we're leaving port.

It's only been one year since my last cruise and this one will be number 5, but I still get so thrilled every time.

Brill, a relaxing day before setting off on your cruise. Wave to PJ for me.

We're off to go singing Halloween Carols at my moms retirement community. We are going to the Assisted Living section. Those folks don't get out much and enjoy having the little girls come and visit.

I couldn't share with a guy. In fact I would have a hard time sharing with another woman unless I had known her for absolutely ages.

Well, I'm not the best at explaining things, but I'll try. First, I set up an account at photobucket.com (there are tons of other photo hosting sites out there, but that's just what I use based on advise from the DIS). Then I upload pics to photobucket. When the pics are on photobucket, when I look at my album, there are 4 different types of code to select (or maybe "code" isn't a correct term....I don't know) and if you select the bottom one, the one that says IMG code, you can copy and paste that code into your post here on the message board and your picture will show up here.

Hope that makes sense, but if not it's because I had another beer night after school. YUP, 2 beer nights in a row! VERY scary and VERY bad, but I'm very happy and it was a GREAT release for me! My friend Cindy had a couple drinks with me and great conversations with a bunch of laughing.

Afew years ago was a stressful time in my life,we won't get into that, but I got up and got dressed to go to the mall. When I got to the mall I had put my pj top back on!

The final payment has not been made so you should be able to cancel her from the reservation. Hopefully you can find someone to take her place.

Unfortunately, she needs her deposit right away. I don't have $500 to give her, so I'm really, really bummed out. I totally understand her situation, so I'm not upset with her at alll. Just trying to figure out a way to do this. I suppose if I could just come up with $500 to give her deposit to her, I wouldn't have to worry about anything. Will have to give this some thought today. If Tyler's dad would come up with 1/2 of the $1200 we need to pay for Tyler's evaluation on Tuesday, that would be my answer. Then I'd skip taking our November vacation and would take him on this repo cruise in Cindy's place. BUT if I do that, I lose $500 for cancelling the November cruise, but will gain $500. Although losing $500 from that cruise will be a bummer, it just might be my answer.

The only way I could do that would be to cancel our vacation in November because I know his dad would never agree to him missing 3 weeks of school. But I'm not even sure I could afford that because then my cost for the May cruise would double since I'd then be paying for 2 people instead of just me. Double the airfare, double the passport costs, double cruise price. I could probably swing it, but the main part is first finding a way to get Cindy's $500 back to her.

AND, I'm not sure Tyler's dad would agree to being away from him for 2 weeks.

I don't have a problem sharing a room with a guy because there are two beds after all! I'd even let him have the big bed & I'd sleep on the sofa that opens into a bed because he'd probably be more comfortable that way. Hmmmm......it sure would solve my problem! Your idea is more feasible than me trying to take Tyler and doubling my costs, etc. I'll PM you after I get caught up with posts here, but I want to brainstorm a bit first.
