You go GIRL!! I think you have the makings of a top notch attorney. You are already a PERFECT Mom!!

Anyway, my feathers just got ruffled today because the stepmom signed a paper for school that tells when Tyler's conference is. She signed where the paper asked for the parents' signature saying whether the conference date and time would work. She signed his dad's and her name on the parent signature line.

I don't want to offend any step-parents reading this because step-parents are a major part of a child's life, as my stepmom was and still is a major part of my life. HOWEVER, in today's world, sad as it may be, spouses come and go, but a child's mom and dad will always be his parents. I guess my point is that it's not her place to sign a paper requiring "parent" signatures. Sorry if I'm being petty and I sincerely apologize if I've offended anybody here. Just venting.

Would have been nice if his dad had called me first and said, "This is what time the teacher scheduled us for Tyler's school conference. Before I sign this, can you make this date and time?" Oh well.......So I simply crossed off her name and managed to squeeze my name in the tiny bit of space below their names.
