When we got our first dog, Gandalf....we got a doggy door and he used it immediately. He would love being outside in his pen in the ice and snow....

Spike loved the snow too! He would run up and down the hill when DS went sledding. The snow would pack onto those big furry paws! I would put him in the bathroom where there was a heater vent by the floor to "melt" when they came in. The bathroom floor would be covered with water from the snow melt. :rotfl: :lmao: Good memories....but no, DrHug I do NOT want another dog! ;)

What a great story....now tell me, did you keep the note or throw it out????:happytv: :happytv: :happytv:

:lmao: :lmao: That I kept. But, I am not planning on keeping it. I have a small box of stuff that I have found of DS and the plan is to give that all to him. Some of his military stuff, things he brought back when he went to Japan as an ambassador for his school in 8th grade. Just one small box though! :lmao:

Our shop are just beginning to get their Christmas things out!!!:confused3 Begins with Christmas cards and builds up from there.

When we went grocery shopping last night, they have already got a whole aisle of Christmas things including selection boxes. I didn't look at the sell-by dates but I wouldn't be surprised if they're before Christmas!

Do you have selection boxes in the US?

:confused3 Maybe by some other name?

Im pretty sure Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard beach will be closed then for winter. I like the Rainforest idea and there is still the playground at Lego Land so they could play while we all chatted, Ghiradeli chocolate is very close too!
We need to get the date and time and how many people?
Yeah, we didn't go for chocolate last time.

Those are great memories....When I lost Gandalf last Sept, I wanted another dog, but I got a cat. After getting Ella, I still wanted another dog. So I got Angel and I can't believe she is soooooooo unlike Gandalf....the complete opposite and soooooo much work. But now that she's at Sandi's house, I miss her and I want my dog back. I just called about the cat proof doggy door and they won't have them until the second week in Nov. that's too long to wait for my dog to come home.

 :yay:

My mother was an inveterate knitted and loved to sew. She left hundred of skeins of yards and so many bolts of cloth that we could have opened a fabric store!!

I'd forgotten to mention the silks (floss) - hundreds of them! They are so much cheaper in the US that we used to bring at least 30 back for her each vacation. She occasionally asked for a particular colour, but mostly enjoyed seeing what we'd just picked out.

It's going to be strange not bringing any back next time. :sad1:

I would love to do that, but between work, and the expense (I think it is one of the MOST expensive times to cruise) I don't think we can do it.

I'd love to cruise NYE, because my birthday is NY Day.

Yeaaaaa....my brother would throw it out....the whole box would be thrown out. In fact, I still find it hard to forgive him for throwing out a box I kept in Mom's attic in her house on Long Island. It was all my favorite high school things....clothes and jewelry and dog tags with my name and address on them....just special stuff to me. My brother threw out the whole box long ago when he was cleaning out mom's attic. I still miss having that stuff.
:hippie: :hippie: :hippie:

Don't see why not!! I'm going to love knowing so many of you before we set sail! Meeting at Port Canaveral will be like old home week.

They are a flat box containing a selection of different single chocolate bars and small packets of sweets, eg Mars Bar, Snickers, Fruit Gums, Skittles, Minstrels. Only produced for Christmas and so have Christmas designs on them, and the box often has some sort of game to play or something to make by cutting up the box. They come in different sizes with different contents, but are always far more expensive than if you bought the contents separately.

John never learns!!! He just sat here and tore up old papers to put in the rubbish bag and realised he had torn up the copy of our most recent wills!!!:confused3

Must be an Autumn thing!!

Seems like we have been doing it every month lately. :rotfl: It's too bad they can't just come and take the house away and dump it out, then bring it back. :lmao: Maybe we can trade the Motorhome in on a dumpster with a motor. :rotfl2:

What a great birthday....you're the first person I have ever known to have that birthday. How cool!:cheer2: :woohoo: :cheer2:

Actually, I've always hated it! :guilty:

So soon after Christmas that I often got joint presents, or something just kept back from Christmas.
Nothing to look forward to later in the year.
Everyone celebrates NYE and isn't interested in doing anything on NYD. Can't even go out for a meal (well, not over here) because many places are closed, having been so busy the night before.

But I am looking forward to my next birthday because we'll be in Denver again. :woohoo:

The brother hen just called again....he calls six times a day to tell me everything he just threw out. He's got the dumpster full already....and it's a big one. We have to do our final walk through this weekend. We got a storage shed and we're moving it out or throwing it out. Gonna be a busy weekend. Then mom's house will be empty. WOW!!!!!:guilty: :scared: :guilty:
