ok, I am going to be a grouch tonight.

I got a form letter stating I didn't get the job. It didn't mention going with another candidate.


Down the side at the bottom there was a personal hand written note from the HR lady saying she hopes I keep them in mind for the future.

V....so sorry you didn't get the job you wanted, but when one door closes another one opens....you may not know it yet, but there is a reason and that's just waiting for you around the corner.

So sorry V I know how much you wanted this.I too believe in what Deb said though, that when one door closes another one opens...there will be more opportunities in the future, and hopefully we will all get to share in the joy with you when someday you announce that you just got that perfect job, and how thankful you are that you didn't get this one

I wish my family could travel together, but we can't even get together for a day without a few of us needing drugs!

This will be a bittersweet trip because after they move to FL we're both going to miss them so much. So this will be our last time spending a week all together.

We play Vandy tomorrow. We will probably lose since it's been a couple of years since we have been able to win a game that starts at 11:30am. Oh well - we beat Fl!

When my DD was in college our phone bill was $500 -$600 a month. And she was only 2 hours away. My DH was not a happy camper!

AT&T on the land line and Verizon on the cell....if you hurry, you can buy into both of them!

We're supposed to have the same temps you'll be having. The beaches will re-open again, as they have been almost every weekend since they closed on Labor Day! They said on the new this morning that it's the longest swimming season on record for our county. Very nice!

Everything closes here too for Columbus Day since it's a federal holiday.

My DH just walked in the door.....and the dog went out the door....I think we need that zap collar.

I'm eating diettogo and I like it. It's in the freezer and I just nuke when I get hungry.

Happy Thanksgiving Kathe....I see you still eat a turkey like we do.....what are all the trimmings that go with your turkey? I wonder if they are the same as ours?

The beaded lanyards sound wonderful, but I don't know if my DH would wear a beaded one. On the TA cruise we had some made that were so light that you didn't even know you were wearing them. If you decide against the beaded ones and no one is going to be doing them then I can do them. The cost is about $1.50 each or less if we order 200 of them. We ordered more than that on the TA I think. We had several people volunteer to help with the cost but can always charge each person. They said - Taking the Magic to the Med. We could have -Ship of Thieves on ours. Somebody let me know if no one else is doing these and if you want me to do them. I liked them because you knew the person wearing them was a disser even if you didn't know them.

Didn't Ken (kpros) do yours too? He did ours for the Ist Magical Med and you are right - they were very light weightbut durable and unique. I'm sure Ken would give you his source. There were several people that made a donation to the total cost (they said that was easier than packing and/or shipping fish extender gifties-lol). Several donated to the lime green wrist band cost too.

Nothing fancy, pretty basic... gravy,stuffing,mashed potatoes, mashed rutabaga, cranberry sauce , carrots and brussel sprouts,rolls and of course, pumpkin pie! We'll also have an ice cream birthday cake for my SIL. It's his birthday on the 10th and he doesn't like pumpkin pie

we're home. Molly had 6 teeth pulled. an extra baby tooth, as a freebie

Molly is bleeding alot she is packed with gauze and is leaking out her mouth so is using a kleenex to keep it from dripping on her clothes.

I hope it stops up soon. I can change out the guaze in a few minutes. Then every hour thereafter.

She was great during the the whole process. The doctor let me sit at the door to watch and keep her company. She didn't even flinch with the shots of novocaine.

V, sorry you got bad news on the job front. Hope the next one that comes along is the right one.

HOW AWFUL! Poor Molly! I'd probably freak out at the blood, so I'm glad you seem to be remaining calm. I sure hope she's not miserable too long.

Yes Ken did ours too. They were great and I like the idea of several people helping with the cost.
