Thanks, kinda crazy to be 50 years old.

Started the morning with getting 4 kids out the door.
Vanessa (6:30am High School)
Annie (7:30am Middle School)
Drew (my nephew, going to commute to DC 7:30am)
Gretchen (time to get her up for 8:30 am school bus)

So far everything smooth.

Mom will get up soon and I will see how she is feeling with all the new meds.

Going out to dinner tonight, that is just perfect for a celebration,
Thanks again,
Lisa

HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY LISA

Enjoy your celebratory dinner tonight.:)

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KAREN AND TED.

:rainbow: party:

One of the most wonderful women in our country has just lost her fight against breast cancer aged 43. Jane Tomlinson was given just months to live after the cancer had spread to her bones. That was 7 years ago.

She has run marathons, cycled accross countries, including America last year, participated in other major sporting events, tirelessly worked to raise millions of £'s. She was often in terrible pain, undergoing chemo and feeling ill, but she was determined. An amazing lady.

Though we knew it would happen, I am just so very sad. She is from Leeds a few miles away, so was on the local news often.

She leaves a husband and 3 children, who supported her all the way. My thoughts and prayers are with them.

OK, laundry is in the dryer, paperwork and bills are done...had my Nutrisystem breakfast and pills...ready for the day. Have to start getting dressed in a bit...need lots of time...have to sit down a lot...legs get heavy and tired easily still.

Good Morning Marilyn, how is your day? Mine looks sunny and warm. Good thing coz I'm still able to wear shorts with these legs...would still have to wear them even if it were snowing outside...better hope for an Indian Summer and some quick healing.:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

Hi Deb. How are the legs doing, or haven't you looked since the last wound care centre visit? Let's believe for good news today. I just love wearing shorts, but only do so on holidays away from home. They must certainly be the best things for you right now.

OK, we’re back from the wedding weekend! There’s no way I’ll catch up with the days I missed, so I’m only looking back 10 pages!

Ooooh Disney luggage tags! I just bought new luggage for our upcoming trips (JFK destroyed our best bag last December).

Holly- Sorry your ex is driving you a little crazy. Good luck with the first day of school!

Peggy- what beautiful horses!

V- my sister has been singing that song a lot too.. those HS Musical songs are catchy!

MrsMork- My sister was also finishing her AP assignments this weekend. Nothing like waiting until the last minute.

Jackie- I’m a sucker for the molten lava cake too!

Happy birthday Lisa!
Happy Anniversary Karen and Ted!

Deb- Good luck at the doctor today.

Back to work for me today. I was just letting Olivia watch some Little Einsteins before we left. She loves this show now- she keeps shouting things at the tv to “talk” to them, and dances around to the music.

So Angel puppy is still at DD Sandi's house and I'm told she's being good. She loves playing with all Sandi's pets...2 small dogs and 4 cats (and a bird and a turtle)...I'm glad she's behaving better. They have been working with her on getting her trained.

Ella kitty is sooooooo happy that doggy is gone. She gets me all to herself again and has the run of the house without the dog chasing her around. She's cleaning herself on my partially bare and partially bandaged foot and it tickles everytime her ears brush against my foot.

We'll give it another week or two and then think about taking Angel back home. Hopefully, I'll be much improved by then.
;) :upsidedow ;)

So sad and tragic...and right on the heels of the 10th anniversary of Princess Diana...what a great loss you must feel!

Marilyn, I haven't looked at my legs since the first wound care visit before going into the hospital. I have not seen them since they've been wrapped. I FEEL them when they unwrap and start poking at them and don't want to see what they look like....it's hard enough for me to look at the purple, black and blue marks left over after the pick line and the belly shots (not the kind you do at the bar)...mine were to prevent blood clots...not fun!

What do you get your men to wear for pirate's night?pirate:

John usually wears black pants and a white shirt with a red and black bandana. This year, we bought him a Captain Morgan outfit for our Halloween cruise that he can wear on Pirate night and I'll be wearing Esmarelda the village wench costume for halloween and then on pirates night. We thought that since we needed costumers anyway, why not get priate costumes and get more use out of them.

Now, Mexican night I have no clue what to wear????? If we have Tropical night I'm good. I have tropical floral shirts for both of us to wear with white pants.

What do you wear for Mexican?:confused3  :confused3

Sounds like you have a very busy day. party: :bday:

I am thinking tropical would do fine for Mexican really. Mind you I will have to find a shirt secretly for John as he sure wouldn't let me buy him one if he knew!:lmao:

Same with the pirate. I am hoping after seeing some of the men on our Dec cruise he might think of participating on ours!

Buy it and pack it in your bag...then spring it on him the night of and maybe he'll be in the spirit of things!

Tell him...the more the merrier! Tell him to do it for you because you want a special picture of the two of you dressed that way....then give him the sad eyes and pout....he'll say yes! :rotfl:

Wanna bet??:rotfl2: He gets embarrased easily, but I am just hoping he can feel relaxed with everyone by then. Yes, I thought I would actually buy some pirate things and a tropical shirt(all as cheap as chips), and give them to him for Christmas!!!:rotfl: Must get a picture of his face for you.

Do we know before the cruise what special nights there are?

Not sure if we know the specific nights, but someone mentioned having a pirates and a mexicalifagilistic night...no tropical night was mentioned, but I've had these on other cruises...guess you have to be prepared for anything. I'm thinking of going with the basic staples...black pants, white pants...white shirt, maybe a red shirt and a floral shirt. Then I'm covered no matter what special nights we do.
